@@fionalawsonnutrition would you happen to know anything about lactobacillus ferment, which is a preservative in a lot of products and I’m not sure if it’s safety for people with fungal issues I know that some people say take lactobacillus internally to help with the skin Microbiome but topically is it a problem or is it safe or is it detrimental
@@lisagardner4814 Lactobacillus ferment is essentially a bit of non-living bacteria. It’s used in skincare as a skin soother. Research suggests it can help to balance microbes on the skin, so I suspect it would be more helpful than detrimental. Hope that helps!
@@fionalawsonnutrition thank you so much I really want to try this product that I got with it in it and essentially all the other ingredients are antifungal has a Teatree and Rosemary and geranium and lavender and also thyme it’s a water based product a hydrosol, so I’m hoping that the benefits outweigh any risks and if it is not a living probiotic, how is it used as a preservative just a question?
Aaaaah FINALLY! I find someone who explains this topic thoroughly in a logical way! THANK YOU SO MUCH for explaining what helps from the inside out! I have only found the Malezia Moisturizer from the SimpleSkin Blog Founder but it is just so expensive, it did clear my skin but I really want to simplify my skincare routine and use as natural products as possible like the ones you mention. There’s little research behind these, but anecdotally I have found rosemary hydrosols to be helpful. For clogged pores, the best choice is a fungal-acne-safe salicylic acid product
@@fionalawsonnutrition yes, I broke out with Kiehl's hydrating squalene mask as well. I'm not sure if there's such a thing as an allergy to it since you stated it's derived from either olives or sugarcane (and I'm not allergic to those), but any time I've used squalene in any products I always get small tiny bumps that sometimes turn into small pustules.
Many of the same principles apply, including not using body moisturizers with fungal acne-promoting ingredients. A body wash with tea tree oil can help too. You may also find this video helpful: th-cam.com/video/swLWR65URzo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dXXGtiN8z9hrQm99
On the note of MCT, I highly recommend using C8 in particular.
Thank you so much for the tips! I will try them out

Simple because it influences microbial populations

Is taking Black seed oil good for acne prone skin
It may help topically, though it’s not typically used supplementally for acne. Other supplements have more evidence behind them!
What about hydrosols instead of acv?
What about if frequent clogged blackheads?

The ordinary squalene made my fungal acne so much worse 😢
I’m surprised to hear this! Have you tried other squalane oils?

Yes, it makes mine worse too!
@@ObscurasCozyCultsame here, I can’t use squalane…
