    After living in CO for 10 years, I've gone through 4 windshields (cracks from gravel thrown up + freeze/thaw cycles) and blown 6 tires (screws/metal hardware in the road), I don't know what it is about this state but I never used to have those issues on the East coast. Knowing that Model 3s are even more susceptible to tire and windshield damage, I would only feel comfortable owning one here with comprehensive insurance and a low deductible.

    I love your videos on your 100k mile Tesla. Tesla's are so durable overall. Bricking the battery is the only thing you can do to immediately make a Tesla go to shit. Yesterday I came across a 2021 Tesla M3P that was needing a full HVB replacement at 11k miles because it was somehow drained to nothing hundreds of times. In the EV era people need to know how to treat a battery. Just as some people don't realize you have to change oil regularly.

    • @Newspeak.
      @Newspeak. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is there a way to check how the battery was treated if you are buying used? It shouldn’t be that common but there are plenty of dumb people out there with too much money who don’t understand or don’t care how batteries work in general.

I’m honestly not worried much about battery going wrong on this car but all the little things that go wrong are annoying. I had the car computer replaced as it was completely crashing. New display as backlight was dying (from new). Did you do brake cleaning? I gather not given Alisa’s recent adventure with the brakes? How are the door seals, as mine all fell off and had to be replaced. Wind noise also increased massively since 2019. I love the car, but it’s not been trouble free at all (I recorded 19 issues and more than 20 service visits in total). I am in UK

    Im much more interested in the 200k mile mark, that's typically when an ICE engine starts to fall apart and needs engine or transmission work or total rebuild/swap. If the battery is the only thing that shows signs of wear then that would solidify my want of a fully electric daily driver. I will take a degrading battery with 50% of its life left than an ICE engine that needs gaskets, valve springs, piston rings, timing belt, water pump, the list goes on. Not to mention issues with transmissions!

    I'm at 105k on my long range RWD. Had to replace a wheel bearing at 95k and front upper control arm at 98k. That's it though, can't complain :)

    I'm really interested how Teslas hold up long-term. Are they gonna be Volvos or old-school Fords?

    Looking forward to seeing paint condition in the daytime. There's been numerous reports on very poor paint quality and poor protection around the wheel wells resulting in debris accumulating behind the panels.

    Where did you get those wheels in black? It looks like Tesla only has them in silver now. In black they look better than the Uberturbine wheels that Tesla now has on the performance model.

    Hey, people are asking about wear on suspension etc…. Hmmm.. maybe Sandy Munro would buy it to do a tear down… maybe a joint series on the vehicle tear down

    Damn, my 2018 Tesla Long Range RWD doesn't even have 50k miles on it yet lol. Hoping to keep it for the next 15-20 years.
