Just did a trip from Miami to Orlando, Florida, left home with 100% and got to my destination with around 25%. It was an afternoon drive, with a decent portion of it having awful rainy weather and traffic because of it. On a day to day though, I only charge to around 70% and drive around 50 miles per day, leaving me with about 60% by the end of the day. These things are crazy efficient. Also, keep in mind that technically anywhere there is power is a place you can charge. You don't only have to use Tesla chargers as there are adapters to use 3rd party charging stations, or you can also use the standard mobile charger to plug into a regular wall outlet. Not to be a downer, but I don't think tesla is releasing any car with 500 mile range, best you will get is in the 400 range, which I think is plenty plus very fast charge rate, coupled with efficiency and Super charge network. More range means you will actually be sitting at a super charger longer if you want 100%. Even my Ford fusion has about 300 mile range, a tesla will actually be an upgrade for me in terms of range and efficiency.
I drive a Model 3 MJ21 AWD+ with 496 hp and Vmax 235 km/h, but normally I only accelerate up to 220 km/h. Then I recharge every 150-200km at a Tesla or Ionity HPC. Overall you don't save time (driving faster and charging longer), but it is more fun 😃 I also drive in such a way, that the energy is almost fully recovered during the decelaration phases (220 --> 120 km/h).
@@youonlyneedacar ye Porsche is glued to the road. Oh well I might get a tesla performance next year. I need a sport car but need money to invest, technically I will drive for free.
Nice review, thanks! But why was the 0-200 so incredibly slow (14,5s)? Was it in standard mode or was it in insane? Maybe too high motor or battery temperature?
Thank you, it was in insane mode but I don t really know if or why that was slow. I also did it on another try where the temperature was definitely lower and it felt similar. Could be that the temperature was too high (charged at the supercharger around 30% before starting the drive). Around minute 11 I did a 100-200 and that was even slower than the 0-200.
I just checked the times for the old performance and it does a 0-200 in 16 seconds. So around 14,5 (maybe 1s faster with optimal temperatures) could make sense, those 1.5-2 seconds are a big difference keeping in mind the new model has 53 hp less.

Hahaha she wanted to stay in the back for the video to not be seen😂. Yes I tried and it is not so co comfortable, you have to put a lot of force on the brake pedal and really feel the weight “fighting you back”. Feels weird but stops good. Had to do an emergency braking from around 220kmh(136mph) an hour before filming and it did a great job.
Depends on what you are after. If you want performance, then yes this is pretty insane as far as performance goes, while the long range still offers decent performance but not on the same level. If you care more about range, however, the long range is definitely the way to go. This performance model has newer suspension that make it much more customizable to the driving as well.
As I recall, they were limited to 235 until the rear spoiler was attached, which was to include a re-flash at the same time increasing the top speed to 262. Sounds like your was never re-flashed.
Just note the lane discipline. If only semis and slower moving vehicles would be limited to the right lanes, our Interstates and all other limited access roads would be much safer and efficient to drive on.
Being from Europe and seeing videos where 18 Wheelers drive on any lane, I think is just crazy and it would make me feel unsafe on the freeway, being used to them using the 2 lane only to overtake other trucks. I don t really know about other countries in Europe so much, but in Germany it is ilegal to drive in the left lane, if the right one is free to use. At higher speeds it can be tolerated because maybe changing the lane in some cases would be unsafe but as a rule, you always have to keep right.
I dont understand why they want those arrows instead of the traditional way to use left or right blinkers. Its confusion when wheel arent at neutral. Other way is always up or down

To be specific, the US sold version has 510hp making the acceleration 0.2 seconds faster
and around 2-1,8 seconds faster 100-200
rock steady, very nice.
Do you hear a humming sound coming from the front wheels at 110 km/h?
How much range you have if you travel constant on cruise control at 150km/h
He should should thr percentage of battery the whole drive...
About 300km, in winter even less
@@romansenger2322Mind that Model 3 2024 has drag coefficient of 0.219 and RWD model is currently the most efficient EV on the market. Range drop isn't as significant at higher speeds when compared to most EVs due to its low drag
@@rouchar The Model S Long Range still holds the record for the 75 mph average speed highway run with a range of 320 miles. 75 mph translates to 120 kph. Now 150 kph is 25% more than that. These electric cars already drop a huge chunk of range if you are going 10 kph faster. Imagine 30 kph. Maybe the Model S Long Range is capable of doing 350-ish at those speeds, but thats about it
Sheeeeeshhhhh!!!!!! He's moving lol, started to just look like a loading screen and the car was standing still! Hopefully juniper MY refresh is close to this
Your stats are for the old model, which I own. Unless different to UK. Here we got 500bhp, 2.9secs
The stats are from the German website and from the dealership. Could be they are different, I don t really know
Очень интересен расход батарейки на таких скоростях ?
Спасибо за видео
I’m really struggling and debating on getting a LR model 3 or wait and get a model Y when the juniper comes out. Since I’ve heard a rumor saying that it’ll get 500 miles to a single charge
500 miles is crazy. Is the juniper coming in 2025 or late 2024? By the way, are tesla superchargers free in US or do you have to pay for charging?
@@youonlyneedacar for what I heard it’ll come out some time next year, and yeah unfortunately😞
You have to pay. Here in California I've been averaging around .44 cents per Kwh.
I severely doubt Tesla would release a 500 mile range Model Y considering it would basically make the Model X and S more irrelevant.
Good stuff!🎯💯
How many minutes do you think you can drive at high speeds like that before you run out of battery?
Longer than a Chiron at full chat, which would empty its tank in 12 minutes.
@@BenjaminWinrow At 304 mph
That would be an interesting test…I will keep this idea in mind 😎
I drive a Model 3 MJ21 AWD+ with 496 hp and Vmax 235 km/h, but normally I only accelerate up to 220 km/h. Then I recharge every 150-200km at a Tesla or Ionity HPC. Overall you don't save time (driving faster and charging longer), but it is more fun 😃 I also drive in such a way, that the energy is almost fully recovered during the decelaration phases (220 --> 120 km/h).
I'd guess 40-50 minutes.
at 200km/h you can drive for one hour
Great video!!!
NO way I can do this, I don't have faith on me or other people don't make mistake.
How fast it drains the battery, if it is a longer term 200+km/h? What is the consumption then?
Does it STICK to the road on tight turns?? Like Porsche ish ??
It does stick really good yes, also doesn’t understeer. But not like a Porsche…I think only a Porsche can really stick like a Porsche
@@youonlyneedacar ye Porsche is glued to the road. Oh well I might get a tesla performance next year. I need a sport car but need money to invest, technically I will drive for free.
How’s the consumption at top speed?
top speed 263 kmph (163 mph)..
What is the 100-200kmh time compared to the previous Model ?
10,8s
Old model : 11,2s
i really wish they would have kept the stalks. i have a model 3 (2022) and would like the 2024s if they kept them.
The company that does the sexy buttons are trying to develop the stalks for the new M3/Ys. No news on when that product launches, tho.
You can buy stalks online. Search for it.
@@youonlyneedacar Thank you for this valuable feedback! The LG pack is able (soc 90%) in 0-200 in around 12,0s. There are multiple video's confirming this. Which soc was it roughly during your runs?
By the way the US Panasonic pack runs 11s to 200!
And my m3P 2020 runs 14s 0-200 easy! Hopefully it's just an anomaly. Next thursday I'm getting my one. Nice car anyway!!
@duncan7491 11s to 200 is crazy. SOC was around 50% during my drive. Nice! You will have a lot of fun with it!
@@duncan7491Its a shame with the difference in battery in us and europe😢
It literally says 510 hp peak power on Teslas website, so not sure why it says 460 hp in the title?
Wow, that's cool! If only there was more luggage space
Love it my dream car❤❤❤
Do you have any 100-200 Times?
perfect
The only thing i would do is change the tires to a bit thicker cause when you are going that fast it feels like youre going to loose it.
my 2021 LR has 441HP, and this one only 460hp ??
yeas the new one in EU gets LG battery and that dont have the same power as the US version
This really shows the china made model with different battery is gimping the engine (0-200). It seems to match exactly what the 2023 performance did.
Nope the 24 m3p pulls much harder past 70kmh and is 2-5 tenths quicker minimum everywhere vs an older m3p.
@@4literv6is that for USA made Panasonic car or China made LG pack?
Notice the panel gaps in the hood at top speed... Crazy!
True. Halfassed shitbox
Great video. Curious why your passenger would ride in the backseat like a hostage on a top speed run 😂. Have you tried aggressively braking from high speed? You really feel this car’s weight when doing such. Are there no bugs on the autobahn?
Hahaha she wanted to stay in the back for the video to not be seen😂. Yes I tried and it is not so co comfortable, you have to put a lot of force on the brake pedal and really feel the weight “fighting you back”. Feels weird but stops good. Had to do an emergency braking from around 220kmh(136mph) an hour before filming and it did a great job.
And what is the range at those normal Autobahn speeds?
Nürburgring when?
those are old 2023 specs which i have. 2024 0-60 2.9 top speed 163 which yoiur display shows
DOESM'T LOOK STABLE AT HIGH SPEEDS... HOW DID IT FEEL?
You and I watched a different video if you believed that. It seemed very stable to me.
It feels stable, when not filming I had to brake hard from about 230 to 110 and it handled it really well. Why do you think it looks unstable?
Would be interesting to see consumption test!
Just found out today that there are 2 versions of the New Model 3 Performance, one at 460hp (China version) and the US version at 510hp
Big difference between long range and this?
Depends on what you are after. If you want performance, then yes this is pretty insane as far as performance goes, while the long range still offers decent performance but not on the same level. If you care more about range, however, the long range is definitely the way to go. This performance model has newer suspension that make it much more customizable to the driving as well.
What is the kw/100km driving at those speeds?
Its rated at 510hp and 0-60mph in 2.9. The other stats are for the old Performance 3
That's for US, because they use different battery. Its 460 for the rest.
Thanks!
The car beeped at you like 50 times in this short drive. What was going on? I would go crazy:)
And that's why I love my not eve Performance, TMY!
My model 3 performance from 2019, don t pass the 235 km/h even on downhill .. are they limited ? How can i verify it ?
