I would recommend this car with the DSG trans, my experience with the 2023 Golf R 6 speed manual was not good, the clutch was not consistent and the poor linkage igets on the way during quick shfting. I now have the 2024 Golf R with DSG
@@Kevin83184 it comes with 50K miles maintenance included. Bear in mind this is a performance vehicle that requires special fluids such as Engine and Transmission/rear differential fluids. Premium fuel is required.
@@johnh.heartland7952 alright, sounds good. I just hear VW in general lacks quality and reliability but that could be poor maintenance from the owners.
Honestly, I prefer haptic buttons. And the short cut for climate is perfectly fine. The entire system took me about 3 days to come to love. And I’m a 60 year old female. If I can do it, anyone can.
The best upgrade to the GTI is better tires. It’s the one thing I’m gonna do once I have my car for one year. I wanted to do it ASAP. But just can’t throw perfectly fine tires away.
This is the base S Trim. It’s what I have & think it’s the best value out there, along with the Mazda3 Carbon Trim. But they’re completely different cars. I much prefer the GTI.
Whoever designed the interior has never had kids. You can’t put cloth on the back of those front seats! The kids’ feet will be all over them and they’ll quickly be ruined. They used to put leatherette back there. Not sure why they changed. 🤷🏻

How’s the reliability? Is maintenance expensive?

@@johnh.heartland7952 Not true. premium fuel is not required. If you flip the fuel cap you'll see it asks for standard 87 octane.

Would you buy this over Elantra N?
Does it have a vibration feeling when you drive over 70mh? From steer wheel, floor, pedal?
All those stickers! Great review hoped it was the 6speed shocked it looks fun as well! Nice job
bring back physical buttons for steering wheel controls and climate controls and i'm sold

@@katiecannon8186 Any accidental activation of any of those haptic buttons on the steering wheel in your experience?
@@rve3716 No. Never. And I’m about 10 months into my ownership.
I take that back. Sometime in the first week or two I accidentally turned on the heated steering wheel. And I was at a stand still - lol.
Great Review

Very nice review. Any plans on reviewing the Golf R?
Hopefully, the region I’m located has very few
Love it 🔥
Is this worth it than the R. Should I pay the extra 15 k for the R. I don’t live in winter climate but in Florida
The GTI has plenty of fun, usable horsepower for daily use and I personally prefer the retro plaid interior myself.

Harmana тоже нет, что у вас за тачки?))

Почему в США нет фар IQ ?
Nice
There is no engine cover because VW had to remove them because of a possible fire risk.
They’re now coming again with revised covers, and those that were recalled are being replaced.
😎

Gti....😂
It has no sense pay for this car with known problem of possible fire due to the cover engine...ridiculous.
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t even happened they just recalled it because the cover’s flammable lol
Also they remove it on most of them before you even get it so…
