Excellent vid bro! A reviewer that actually know about the car he is reviewing, very refreshing! Enjoyed the nice relaxed vibe of it all too. Definitely got yourself a new sub
Bought my Mk6 a year ago and put in a stronger clutch, downpipe, cold air intake, turbo muffler delete and then Integrated Engineering stg 2. Tune. I love this car!!! Nice video, wish I had some roads like this near me!!
Yes the mk6 is one of the best chassis with good build quality inside & out, mk7 onwards feel very cheap and you can tell how they drive. I bought an import mk6 best decision no rust
launch control in the mk6 gti is esp or traction controll off, put it in sport, then break pedal to the floor and same with accelerator, let off the break and then ur gone. this way allows the car to rev to 4k rpm consistently
Thanks mate. Great insight on an iconic drivers car. Any advice on what to look out for when buying an Mk 6 in 2024? Naysayers have grumblings about Dsg transmission and timer among others. Would appreciate any insight to aid my cause.
I guess check the obvious stuff, service history, MOT history, see what's popped up on there in the past. If the water pump or thermostat have been changed. Check for any signs of rust, particularly on the rear axle. See how it drives, get a feel for the seller as well. Check if it's had a DSG oil service. If there's any clunking or vibrations on idle or with gear shifts, could be issues with the flywheel etc. Other than that, they're generally solid cars if they've been looked after, just keep looking until you find a clean example.
Hmm I can't remember exactly, but they do good deals if you go for their injector clean service as well. I'd just drop em a quick call and see what they say.

I’ve just uploaded my first video saying I was going to keep my mk6 standard but seeing this I want more power 😂
Yeahh just watched it, looks decent for the mileage as well. Haha it's not possible to keep these stock, they were made to be modded!

Ideally buy a japan import, they are lower miles, no rust and they look after their cars better than UK, plenty of nice ones for sale at the moment
what did r tech charge for this?

I had a choice either the Mk6 GTi or the A3 2.0tfsi quattro s line auto, I now drive an Audi
