    I'm so glad I for some reason I held out and watched to the end. it's a must. I'm still laffing at the pure bass test. they must have been fighting over it, understandably of course.
    if I'm honest I'm a bit pissed that I missed out

    I have that amp on 2 12 inch mtx subs and it sounds really good its a good amp but you have to have the right subwoofers and wire.

      The speaker's wire you're using is not adapt for that amplifier also that sub or bass is not powerful enough for that amplifier.

      that is a DC to AC inverter. Those terminals run direct to the battery posts.

    I have the Sony Xplod amp hooked correct but no sound is coming from my 12" subs and I tested to see if the sub was blown and it wasn't I need help with this problem.

    • @mdr3w
      @mdr3w  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI,
      Do you have the speaker bridged? if so make sure it is bridged correctly, if not make sure to try both the right and left side of the speaker connections.
      Another reason could be the remote, if you have no power going to the remote the amp will not be on.
      Make sure the settings on the left side are correct, the knob turned all the way to the right, and the switch should be good on either the right or left setting.
      Check the fuses, sometimes if you connect an amp and accidentally touch a wire to another it will shoot the fuse and you will never know.
      Finally make sure the audio going to the amp it turned up enough to hear the sound. there are two options to regulate sound, the sound coming from the RCA and the sound coming from the amp to the speakers, make sure they are both turned up.
      Finally, make sure the light on the amp is coming on.
      Let me know what you find out.

    will the remote turn off still work if you have it wired like that. like will it turn off when the car is off and on when it is turned on

    • @mdr3w
      @mdr3w  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dillon Watt, no. you need a power source that activates when the car turns in. if you have it hooked directly to the battery it will not go off unless you have a on/off switch on the power line.

    • @dillonwatt3470
      @dillonwatt3470 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok so the conectuon you have will not turn off the amp

    When you bridge a car amplifier your taking all the rms power from the car amplifier at any impedance you have your speakers or car subwoofers wired at for an example a 1000 watt sony xplod car amplifier puts out 1000 watts rms in bridged mode at any impedance

    i have a problem with my car audio system.. when i turn on my stereo my sub pops and when i turn the volume to 00 pop and volume to 01 pops what is the problem pls

    • @mdr3w
      @mdr3w  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dylan Mamo something is turned too high. Maybe your amp is up on the highest setting. Your stereo probably goes from 0-50 with the volume. If you only operate within the first 10 numbers of the 50 you may want to turn the amp down some. The pop is a signal that the electronics are receiving to run on and off. 00 is essentially off, 01 is on.

    What does rem and gnd mean?

    • @mdr3w
      @mdr3w  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shane Edwards remote and ground. Remote is what will tell the amp to come on. You'll need 12v power to that. On the back side of stereos it has a remote hookup. You can hook it directly to the batter, if you hook directly you'll need a switch in that line to manually turn it off. If you leave it on it will drain th battery. You could also hook it to a fuse or something else that comes on when the ignition is turned. Ground should be very short in length with a large contact base.

    Thank you for this VDO upload. I have one Question though, I want to power UP my Sony Xplod car amplifier at home which needs 12V to 15V DC supply with current rating of 26AMP to 35 AMP max, so basically i need 13V/35AMp DC supply. I am currently using SMPS at home for this which gives me 12V/25amp and my car amplifier works fine, but it gets Switch off when I increase the sound, due to may be it needs more current or Voltage...Please suggest why its so....Therefore I am thinking of using a car battery of 14V/35Amp here for smooth amplifier operation but to charge it, your trick may work, but i dont have volmeter. So tell me how much time it will take to charge battery fully with laptop charger without using Voltmeter or multimeter. OR else suggest me how I can get output of 13V/35Amp from SMPS or any other device conencting it to AC power supply at home.....thank you....

    • @mdr3w
      @mdr3w  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carmelo Santana, this is the second comment I got like this. I'm not sure if the video has been watched. It's set up to show it's working, then I decided to demonstrate the connections for general use. The only reason this would catch fire would be if a negative and positive crossed, or if there was an over load. However, if an overload was the issue the fuse would shoot. Speakers can burn up but the small ones won't catch fire. I'm starting to think people have hooked their own systems up and grounded something positive to the battery causing fire

      I was to close to the speaker with the camera. if you notice the sound seems to get louder as I step away however it's not the case it just was less overwhelming to the camera mic. for people that no nothing about hooking up an amp I just wanted to show where everything plugs in. thanks for watching.
