The back wall carpet has 5 little plastic press fittings that hold it to the back wall. If you have a trim removal tool, you can grab them from a junk yard . Probly order them from amazon, too.
I have a question. Will 4 boxes of Noico be enough for entire floor, up to rear window behind seats, doors and ceiling for the same single cab truck you did?
Technically yes due to only needing around 30 percent coverage to get the sound deadening increase. I had extra laying around and covered the whole floor and roof. I would get 5 boxes to be safe if your doing full coverage with inner and outer door skin.
@@thisoldhooptie Awesome, Thank you for the info. Ill send pictures of my project. I enjoy watching your helpful videos. I might change out the Dash as well. Looks like its an all day task.
@@mariosalinasoutdoors5386 You can definitely swap the dash in a day. My instagram is listed in the channel info up top. Send some pics when you knock it out. Good luck 👍
Mine was blue from the factory. I dont have the paint code number so could not tell you the exact color. Check the sticker in your glove box it should have the full breakdown for your truck when built.
Yes, it does seem to slow heat transfer. Does not get cold here so that i cannot answer. Get a silver front window shade if your in a hot state, that will also keep the heat down. Those cheap folding ones make the truck less of an oven when parked.
I believe I used 4 boxes, the links for the noico boxes and tools i used should be in the description of this video. Get one more box if you also want to do Inner door skins and a layer under the door panels. Good luck 👍
I believe it was 5 boxes there should be a link to what and how much noico I purchased from Amazon in the description of this video. Good luck with your install, makes a huge difference 👍
Unless there is rust to fix I didn't feel the need. The majority of metal was covered in sound deadner. The rest is completely covered with panels or fabric. I painted the door jambs and the exterior.
I took the dome light cover that goes from one pillar to the other and I ended up breaking it, how do you take them off with out breaking them? Been trying to find some replacements at the junk yard but everytime I try to pry them off at the clips they end up breaking
If a couple clip pieces pop off the edge its not a huge deal. You could use super glue and baking soda to repair them. Mine had a small piece break its hidden. Both ends are hidden when you put the side on. If you mean the center part it cracking then thats a bigger issue. Some are very fragile from the heat. As a last resort you could bring one of the oscillating cutter tools and cut a few inches past each side then unscrew and take your center piece home with no damage.
Yes. You can pull them back out carefully with needle nose pliers. Then slip them back on the plastic strips they came from. Then when you put the plastic back the metal clips will lock them to the cab again. Be careful some are very sharp. Use a small flat head screw driver to press the tab while pulling them out with the pliers
The amount I used is in the links in the description. I believe it was 4 boxes which had a couple sheets left over. I did the doors, floors, backwall, and roof.
Click the link in the description, down in the middle of the page there is a chart that has the break down of needed material in sqf for cars and trucks. I believe that link was for 4 boxes enough for the whole single cab all places listed in my last reply.
Either an ls swap with new cam springs and maybe a turbo. Or rebuild a 350 i have and modify that one the same way. Part of me wants to stick with the period correct engine everyone does the ls these days. The other says save the money and go with the ls.
Including doors, roof, floor, back panel i used 3.5 boxes so get 4. Its Noico 80 mil and I ordered it from Amazon. The noico finish tape makes the seams neat and clean, 1 roll of that.
I believe 36sqf is 3 boxes. It will do the job if not fully covering the whole truck as I did in the video. You don't have to fully cover just need squares here and there to get the job done. I had 5 boxes left over from another truck so I used it all and fully covered the whole inside and will do the door inners too now that they are painted. If you wanted to fully cover it get a second 36 pack that's more then enough.
Thank you from Saudi Arabia, I benefited a lot from you
first time stopping by definitely subscribing love OBS Chevys have 2 of them myself cclb dually and ecsb
Thank you! I also love these old trucks as im sure you can tell.

Question what color was your truck original ? Mine has the same color inside of your cab

Does deadening material have any affect on temperature? People often claim it helps reduce heat or cold.

How many boxes did you use for the whole cab

How much square footage of sound proofing material did you use if you know that amount. Im doing this to my 88 gmc truck soon.

Did you paint the inside of your cab? I haven’t removed my interior but I’m assuming it’s horrible.

Are the golden clips supposed to be on the plastic when going back? I pulled some interior parts and the clips stayed on the truck.

what's the sq ft for coverage

Where did you get all the billet pieces from
Search eBay, Amazon, and Google billet interior or just billet c1500. Some like the lower passenger dash and guages will be hader to find then others.
Clean truck
Thanks!
What kind of upgrade to the engin are you going to do?

How many did you order for the entire truck?

It definatly makes a difference. The stereo sounds clean and when driving in the rain you can talk and listen easy.
What size boxes did you use & are referring to? I have the exact same truck and just ordered 36sq ft of Noico. Am I going to need more than that?
