Excellent video Ray!!! Totally agree on the "too serious" You said people don't act that way in real life. I have found people actually do reveal their true self on the ole interweb net thing. I personally love your videos, especially for the mechanic knowledge and of course the entertainment. Watching your youtube has saved me $$THOUSANDS being able to do my own work. I did my 2016 Sienna front struts and sway bar links couple months ago. Had it realigned by a shop and still saved $1,250. THANK YOU for the education. Don't give the negative nancy KARENS the attention. They only troll to get attention. Keep up the great HONEST work you do. There's many of us out here that greatly value your content. You're an awesome person and mechanic. Look forward to video #2 on the Isuzu

I did the 80mil kilmat with the quarter inch foam lyner on the floors, inside the doors, inside the inner door panel, outside the outer door panel, inside the outer door panel, hood, fenders. Trim panels, back panel! I probably got carried away..then I put accoustic polyfill mat between all of it except the floors, fenders and hood

If you live in a hot climate definitely put closed cell foam on the roof after the sound deadener. If I remember right 1/4 in thick is only like R2, but that's probably at least double what the sheet metal gives you

Hey bud, I did the same thing on both my ZL1 vert's over the winter months to include the complete trunk area. Yes, it took forever, it seemed like. I also changed out the stereo systems. That first drive in the spring was so satisfying and amazing! It was a night and day difference! You will love the outcome from all your hard work and I bet your ZL1 will be next? I recommend the 2" CSP coated headers with high flow green cats and the AWE cat back exhaust system. Loud as hell, but I like it that way, especially with a really nice cam, it doesn't get any better!

Did you plan on doing the door panels? If you planned on door speakers, that is one crucial area to do as well. It would surely benefit from deadening material as well. Love the build series on the OG as it is. I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out!

Do you think that putting that on the roof may help prevent dents? I’m asking because I just fixed a car with hail damage and was thinking about putting Dynamat in my car. If that helps the roof resist hail damage, that might be beneficial for more than just preventing sound. If it doesn’t help prevent hail damage, you would not be able to pop dents out from under the roof unless you took the Dynamat down. Just wanted to see your thoughts.

Yeah you could spend time and money on sound deadening (attenuation) or get rid of the noise. That means quiet tires, quiet exhaust, and engine compartment insulation. Speaking for neighbors and bystanders, I'd prefer the latter. Why do you want it quiet for you and noisy for us?
