I fully agree about your rant on those seats. It should be available in all trims. I do not do construction, but every time I see a work truck is mostly xlt. I doubt that a limited owner will sleeping in his truck or even taking his truck off-roading somewhere and taking a nap in it. I am not saying that it will never happen, but as a limited owner, I would probably never use it. On the other hand, an overworked contractor arriving too early at a site will definitely enjoy a short power nap
I fall asleep just fine in my standard F-150 seats. It’s not the best but it works when I’m out hunting in the middle of nowhere.
And that document stated late availability for the seat feature so it may not even be available in the early limiteds.

I agree with the seats, hotshot truckers typically buy XL, XLT, or Lariat trucks and they are the people that would use this the most. I think they could have thought that through a little more

Considering it is going to be a late released item and wont even be on the first 2021 f-150s produced I am not that surprised. I could see it being put into a package and having it optional on the XLT and above in the future.

Totally agree with the seat thing. Its way more likely that people driving XL and XLTs working out of their trucks all day and all week would use this more to get a quick nap.

Really really great video. I’m new to trucks. My first truck was a starter truck, Honda Ridgeline. Looking to graduate to a real truck :-) Is the bed in the F-150 Super Cab the same length? I need a 6 ft (with tail gate down) to haul my motorcycle

It's really awesome Ford's finally putting some Lariat and up options on the XLT trims. Led lighting, puddle lights. Yes I know they've been an option for a couple years already. The one thing missing is the heated steering wheel! Unfortunately my truck sits out 24/7/365. It gets cold where I live. Love having the heated seats and to have the truck light up in the dark country where I live is great! Don't want to walk up on a skunk or coyote! The heated steering wheel like the fold flat seats would be something people who can't get into 70k and up could use!
Rick Schroeder yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when the details for the packages were release. I feel like it’s a true bargain for the price, specially that 12” infotaintment system and the 2.0kw power on board. The XLT feels “complete” if you get the top options.

Hello, I have a question, what are the recommenced suspension, springs for a 2013 Ford F-150 xlt
So is the H.O. 3.5 TDI no longer available in the Limited and is there anyway to order or get a Limited with the 157" WB? Thanks for the video it is a question/comparison definitely in need of articulation. I love the Limited interior and creature comforts but a 5 1/2’ bed is a deal breaker for me.

A fully equipped platinum 4x4 with all optional extras costs 3k less then a limited? What does the limited offer over the platinum for that extra 3k USD? What did I miss?

You need more pictures to describe the differences, but it's a good job.
Wheel base of the longest f150 limited? Occasional tow 8-9k lbs...but mostly daily drive empty ...not sure if half ton is safe enough, but tow less than 15 times a year. That new interior and hybrid is sweet.

Do a 2021 F-350 Platinum
Lariat is the best option to go with. Platinum and Limited models for Ford are actually their essential scam models. They load it with every feature and essentially label them as their top of the line pickups with every best feature. The Lariat, however, is typically their most customizable model, ranging from as base as the XL/XLT to as decked out as the Limited and Platinum. Not only can you max them out to match that of a Platinum, but they're also usually always cheaper since you're not paying extra for the Platinum/Limited badging.
I, myself, have a Lariat, and it's my second one. I go for fully maxed out ones since I'm on the road so frequently, nice to be in comfort (ie. 230k miles on my current 2017 Lariat). Multiple times already, I've come across owners of Platinum and Limited models that show all the features of their trucks as a reason why they bought those specific badging models, and I show them every feature they have, mine has as well, and I saved 5-15k by doing so.
I won’t be in the market for another f150 until maybe 2025 when I’m done with my 17 but when I do, I’m going king ranch or better. Maybe even f250 for the added power. Gasser over disel baby !!!
Gotta go with the platinum unless keeping the limited garaged!

I like how people say they would get a ecoboost just because its faster but if u put the same turbos on a v8 it will dust that v6 anyday.
Heads-up display on the platinum or limited?
Biggest disappointment for me is that the Limited (best interior) doesn't offer a 6.5' bed (necessary), an engine option that offers better payload (i.e 5.0), or moonroof delete. I guess I will be spec'ing up the platinum instead.
For as much as they charge for that limited, they sure as heck shouldn't lock you in to a 3.5 engine.
I have the 3.5 in my 2019 limited and it has more power than Ram, GM, Tundra, Titan and Ford V8 that they put in their trucks. FORD always put the top features in the limited. V8 sounds better but that high output will hunt.

how much money does it cost to get rid of the console shifter?
Hi, so my dad is looking for F-150's. We went to Ford about a week ago to look for a car for me and he saw the F-150 and he fell in love with it, he said he wants to buy one for sure. I watched your other video from yesterday on the F-150, can you please provide me with an email for us to contact. He also doesn't like watching videos, he says he only understands the trim levels and features for cars when he is at the actual dealership.
It bugs me that the Limited doesnt have an engine option. I do NOT want an EcoBoost. Guess I'm gonna have to trick out a Platinum.

Please talk about the difference in the generators I like to know which is the best want to get on F150?
There will be 3 onboard power generators that will be available. Engine choice will also affect which generator you can get. The three that you will have will be a 2.0kW, 2.4kW and a beast at 7.2kW. The 7.2kW will only be available on the 3.5l powerboost engine and will have close to 11 available plug-ins. I've seen one in demo, and it can easily power a smaller jobsite without the truck even being on.

Does the Platinum, King Ranch or Limited come with the 6.5’ bed (I think 157” wheelbase?) or do they only come in the 5.5’ bed/145’ wheelbase? Also, do they come with the front camera standard?
Limited always came with a short bed, Platinum varied over the years i believe, Kind Ranch has the option of the longer bed.
JB Thanks! Sounds like they are repeating what offerings they have done in previous years. I don’t think I ever understood why the limited does not come in a long bed option. Oh well. I’ll look forward to comparing what long bed options I have when the trucks go into production. Appreciate the insight!
@@Darkknight2001 You bet, i think it's 1 of their offerings where you get everything and don't have to fuss over options and packages. Same reason Limited comes with a 22in wheels, and not much tire sidewall, it's a city truck.
Can't get the Limited with a 5.0, so it's Platinum for me.
It costs $8,000 for the fully reclining seats with the fold down shifter. That's why it's only on the platinum and king ranch. Volvo charges twice that for it.
Platinum with the power tailgate and the hybrid battery will be the best truck of 2021-2022 by far.
On the king ranch 601A, the interior work surface package is $165 option and the max recline seats is a $340 option
Can't wait to see more on that 3.5 Hybrid. That's the one I have been saving all my pennies for. If that pickup pulls 30mpg or better for mileage and tows 10,000lbs..... I'll be all over that truck like a fat kid on a Smartie!

Spoiler alert it’s nearly the exact same truck and trim, buy the 3/4 ton and get some resale value out of it. Also you’re the only channel that has said there is not a raptor next year as well as the only host with notes.

Really nice high end truck but for $80,000, I can buy a Yukon Denali AWD or a Mercedes GLS 450 AWD both having a much more comfortable ride.

Grant Rempe yes, the only real differences between Platinum and Limited is the interior color, Limited has 3.5 HO and 22 inch wheels. Otherwise their pretty much the same equipment and feature wise as long as you get the platinum with the upgraded equipment group.

I hated the way the climate control cluster looked the past few years it was tacky, but it looks like they finally cleaned it up

What really pissed me off about Ford is the fold down gear selector, if it has it why not include the work surface? I bought a XLT and never even thought

So Limited no longer has the dual exhaust with the different rear bumper and it no longer has an HO engine?
The 3.5 H O is gone, replaced with the Powerboost.
