I have the same truck only in black. As one other guy stated you have to have the settings set to surround sound to get the full effect of all the speakers, as well it all depends on what type of file your listening too to get the best quality of sound. This is a beautiful truck I know a lot of people criticize Ford for not doing enough and maybe their right when it comes to the interior but I just love the all around look of a Ford truck.

The sound is really faint, I have to put my ear right up to the headrest to hear it. It will all depend on what your listening to some songs I can hear it better than others but it is really faint.
Be thankful you got a 2021 instead of a 2022. The 2022 had a lot of those aesthetics gutted. The lights on the interior are all but gone. I got a used 2021 Lariat this year because of this. It may not be super important, but I'm a sucker for aesthetics.
The speakers in the headrest and ceiling need it to be on surround sound. I had to wait four months for parts for some broken things when I got it in Jan but now I’m finally driving it and it’s just amazing overall.
The looks, the style, the technology and the drive all combine to leave the Chev and Ram in it's rear view mirror. One absolutely gorgeous truck. Ford has done a bang up job on this one
Yea Ford in my opinion is the best looking truck, interior anyway. They know how to combine high end materials with low end materials to get a good balance of luxury and cost.
I requested a buy back with my Lariat and I loved the truck! Modular issues constantly, No AC. Touch screen barely works. Left mirror has never Defogged. Sounds like I got a lemon. Hopefully Ford will work a deal or I’ll have to go to a hearing

I hope you have better luck with your truck than I had with mine . I just traded my 21 Platinum in . It was in the shop 5 times for infotainment,screen,not recognizing the keys issues in 5 mouths .After several computer modules and reprogramming it still was having multiple problems .After having an 11 and a 14 F150 with zero issues .I could not have been more disappointed with the truck that I paid 72K for. Your truck is beautiful.Hopefully yours will be perfect. Maybe mine was just a lemon. I just posted this in case you have any of the same problems you will know.
Man sorry to hear that! Fortunately I have had no issues like this. I had a small issue with the transmission needing to be reprogrammed once but it’s been golden since and I’m at 20k miles now. Good luck with your next truck
Headrest does have a speaker. Its meant to give you a more stereo effect meaning that you don't really hear it unless you put your ear up against it. I dont think that its really meant for you to distinctly hear something from there, considering there is 17 other speakers in the truck. Its the little things that make a great effect.
I have the Limited Powerboost also. A few tricks I wish Ford would take from GM are passive/proximity locking doors. When the key fob gets so far away from the truck, the doors lock. Simple programming, but useful set it and forget it feature. Also none of the Apps show up when your phone is plugged in, such as Glympse and if they do, they don't work. You can't send navigation directions from your phone to the truck like you can with GM vehicles. These are my main pet peves, but other than that it's a beautifully executed truck. I've used the generator to power an entire Hollywood film crew out in the middle of nowhere in the New Mexican desert all week on a half tank of gas and only used a quarter tank the entire time.
These are features I didn’t know GM had (ford guy since forever) but they sound super useful! Hoping they add some more features through future updates . Still waiting on blue cruise! Btw that’s amazing use of the generator haha

Had to go platinum for mine because I can’t stand the coloring of the interior on the limited. Sweet truck tho man. You can disable the double honk when closing the doors (did so this week on mine). Also no rear door sensors drives me crazy too.

Adjust the fade to the middle of the truck and you will hear the headrest speaker. Got the 18 speaker in my lariat powerboost and I'm not very impressed by it. Wish I would have saved the $695!
The setting to unlock all doors with a touch of the driver or passenger door handle is under settings or vehicle in the infotainment system. There will be a locks setting in one of those.
The speakers do work in the headrest, but it has to be on a certain setting and audio files capable of playing it. Think it’s Dolby Atmos or Surround sound. Then they will play. Can’t wait. My limited is still on order, since April. Can’t wait. Have they done the over the air update for hands free? Thought that was 2nd half 2021. Beautiful Truck!

Nice truck. I am driving Audi Q5. I am looking for a bigger car or truck with more room and towing ability. F150 is the right choice I guess, especially high-end version like limited or platinum.

Yea on my 2020 F150 Limited I have the setting that will unlock all 4 doors when I touch either the driver or passenger door handle. That way I just really quickly touch the front handle and all doors unlock. Its quicker than actually opening the door and unlocking the other doors. I believe the setting is in the Sync system.
I'm guessing the moisture in the sunroof is caused by dewpoint between hot and cold enclosed areas. The sunroof enclosed is too sealed or something and doesn't get the ventilation.
Nice to hear someone say the truths. That Limited hood is hideous. The white interior is strange, and the carbon plastic is cheap. Why would Ford do those things?
Regarding the door handle sensors…my chrysler 300s is the same way, buuut when i go to open the drivers door, all of the doors unlock. Not sure if you can change that setting with this, but that may at least help. I’m curious because nobody has covered it…on the sync system, is there any sort of soundscapes/viewscapes? (rainy day, beach, fireplace, etc.?) i was thinking of buying this truck alongside the foldflat seats to use to take some road trips, and that would be a very neat little feature, lol. Little pricey for my liking, I’d love to see a top of the line ranger trim get this same kind of love tbh, to save maybe 10-15k or so.

I have a Limited also. I have not been able to hear headrest sound either. I read numerous postings but they end up being crap. The surround comments are nothing but the CPT Obvious. Surround sound does not fix the problem (never has) BL: still do not work. If you find out how to fix it please post.
Ram has a head up display, digital rear view frameless mirror, air suspension for a better more plush ride, better interior ambient lighting, much more leather with many little details, better materials with little plastic, a primary V8 engine, the very useful split tailgate, rear seat recline, and apparently more comfortable rear seats. But Ford has better adaptive cruise, highway self-driving BlueCruise, better fuel economy, much higher range on a smaller tank, faster acceleration, drive modes, massaging seats, powered steering wheel adjustments, 7200 watt pro-power generator onboard, center work surface, lay flat front seats. Decisions, decisions, decisions. No truck has blown the other one away, clearly. It's purely preference and lifestyle-based at this point. RAM is more luxury, but Ford is situationally more utilitarian. You really want to go RAM but also not miss out on the Ford features, I feel like the RAM redesign in a few years will blow the F150 out of the water.
It’s been a great adjustment! Much more comfortable and spacious on the long drives. The latest Ford cameras and screens has made this thing very easy to drive too, highly recommend

26 MPG!!? Lol! No way. Do you have any pics of that? I have the same truck (in Black) and have never gotten any where near that. On the highway best I’ve gotten is 20.5 and I’m not a lead foot. Ive had a couple of trips to the store where the ( this trip) gauge was reading 22.9 but I never got over 40 mph. Fords 24 mpg combined rating is not accurate at all.
Yes on certain trips I’ve got that I will try recording it soon. I will say it took me a few thousand miles at first it was not as good for whatever reason
The American flag is on all trims ...except for Canadian trucks , i received my new 2021 F150 Lariat 502a and the American flag is deleted on the Canadian trucks !

It’s less plastic than it used to be. More than a $75k+ vehicle should have. Hopefully they stop listening to focus groups who accept hard plastic. We’ve long moved past hard plastics being the only way to have a durable cabin.
Platinum is the same except for different interior color and 22 inch rims on limited. I actually prefer the platinum because you can pick your engine and get the FX4 package.

You gain very little between a fully optioned lariat at 72 grand. I think u have a wireless charger in a bad spot. The scam known as massaging seats (air blowing up and down). Fake carbon fiber vs real brushed aluminum. Ugly interior color vs nice blacks and browns. I don’t get why anyone would buy the limited. It used to offer a lot more compared to lower trims.
So to unlock the back doors just touch the sensors on the front door and then open the back door. No need to dig you keys out.

It's not broken. Go to fader settings and fade back closer to front seat headrest area you will hear the sound out the headrest.

This setting was turned off and buried in the infotainment once I turned it on it definitely has helped
FYI it has to be in surround mode to have sound come from the headrest speakers.

Forscan software. It’s free, you just have to buy an adapter to connect laptop to the truck. There are tutorials online to do it.

Not gonna lie at first when this was revealed the wheels were my least favorite however they eventually grew on me

26 MPG!!? Lol! No way. Do you have any pics of that? I have the same truck (in Black) and have never gotten any where near that. On the highway best I’ve gotten is 20.5 and I’m not a lead foot. Ive had a couple of trips to the store where the ( this trip) gauge was reading 22.9 but I never got over 40 mph. Fords 24 mpg combined rating is not accurate at all.
Yes on certain trips I’ve got that I will try recording it soon. I will say it took me a few thousand miles at first it was not as good for whatever reason
For 4 thousand less ill take the platinum
I average 35-45mpg in my 21 lariat driving around 45-50mph to work everyday. 10+ miles everyday

The American flag is on all trims ...except for Canadian trucks , i received my new 2021 F150 Lariat 502a and the American flag is deleted on the Canadian trucks !

That’s funny. I’m going from a 2013 Fusion Titanium and although I haven’t received my Platinum yet I will certainly miss the rear door unlock feature as well. Have you messed around with the settings? I was thinking there is an unlock on approach setting but haven’t confirmed.

It’s less plastic than it used to be. More than a $75k+ vehicle should have. Hopefully they stop listening to focus groups who accept hard plastic. We’ve long moved past hard plastics being the only way to have a durable cabin.

Platinum is the same except for different interior color and 22 inch rims on limited. I actually prefer the platinum because you can pick your engine and get the FX4 package.

Typical Ford can’t even align window trim on driver door and rear door seamlessly.
You gain very little between a fully optioned lariat at 72 grand. I think u have a wireless charger in a bad spot. The scam known as massaging seats (air blowing up and down). Fake carbon fiber vs real brushed aluminum. Ugly interior color vs nice blacks and browns. I don’t get why anyone would buy the limited. It used to offer a lot more compared to lower trims.
