The £500,000 valuation she placed on her travel clothing business was dismissed as “crazy”. The pitch took a unique turn when Touker provided Leila with some of his 'Touker-Time"...

Deborah is fantastic. She always gives really genuine and detailed advice whereas the others just list everything that’s wrong with the business and then declare themselves out!

She is also more ethical in her investments, and she is prepared to take risks, and to think outside the box. I feel she is the smartest of all the Dragons.

So true. Deborah's the boss, my favourite dragon by far. She's very perceptive and astute in her valuations of both the business and the person as an entrepreneur, and her observations really add a lot of credibility and weight to the show. She's like the calm, wise and long-standing dragon who sits there evaluating and playing with her fingernails as if doing some jedi mind trick on everybody to want her approval and investment :D
I know right, it's almost like she listens to what the other dragons have to say and then puts it in her own words!

I am blown away how clueless are the male dragons about the colours and styles of travel gears . Those designs and colours are bang on. You can travel in those , you can party in those , you can dine in those with little effort and always look appropriate. Well done Deborah for investing in this business

@fenrif they were always willing to go to the negotiations table. The difference in the situation is simple: Boris Johnson has a new mandate and the Labour party, which will be voting against his deal, no longer has any say over it. No deal is now completely off the table, so no one is worried about that. I don't know too much about the deal, but I think the one Boris got was essentially the same as the one Theresa May got with the caveat that the Irish backstop was replaced by complete alignment in Northern Ireland with the EU single market and customs union for four years. Somehow, that makes the UK more "sovereign" than the backstop (don't ask me how, I'm not British).
Anyway, hopefully the UK can pick up its pieces and get its sh*t together.

I agree 100% with Touka.
I had a similar product in 1977 and only in Black..it sold like hotcakes in several different countries.
He is probably one of the bests in the industry and was generous enough to provide his insightful suggestions. Although on their website they have different colours.
I used to sew most of my own clothes (to be different) and made similar clothes that could be worn many ways. They travelled with me on vacations because they wouldn't wrinkle and were easy to pack. If I spilled on it, I could actually wash it in a sink and it would be unwrinkled after drying over the shower curtain rod. My favorite was a Chinese Red color that was either a long skirt or a strapless dress. I had others similar to these that one skirt layer would lift and tie behind the neck and was black. I absolutely loved them. They must have been a thing then since mine also were worn around 1975-77. The samples she brought are wonderful colors, so I don't understand some of the Dragons' complaints.
What a shame this Doctor spent all those years (and funds) training and then switch occupations! I would have found a way to do both with working less hours as a Doctor.

I think the clothing was made plain with mostly no graphics or patterns, as well as neutral-coloured on purpose, so that they would be more versatile, and so that a person wouldn't have to worry about whether or not it would match well with something else like an accessory worn to compliment it, because then the person knows that it probably will just automatically go together, no matter what. No stress. But bright and wild colours on the other hand, are always a risk. These travel-convenient garments are obviously not as fashionable as a lot of other clothing brands out there who are more developed and therefore have the developed capacity to take more risks, which is how I can understand why this wouldn't be able to keep up with the competition when under the "general clothing" category of online shopping websites (amazon...etc). It would make more sense under the "travel" category, especially if easy folding and packing is one of the main features that makes this clothing so unique compared to the general. Also, it would "stand out" a lot better against the products sold in travel, oppose to becoming seemingly buried amongst all the other clothes of such as mass market sector, and would ultimately get more clicks there in the travel one.
