Well she's honest, she doesn't have contacts in that industry. I mean, it's easy to laugh when it's not our money to invest.
She is an investor. It's her right to decide carefully what she is putting her money in. What do you want, her to say yes to everything and lose all her money? Besides, even though everyone jokes about it, she has actually invested before. I have seen two episodes where she made an offer and it was accepted, the coconut ice-cream one and the truck advertising.

Deborah is an absolute star, never liked her when she first debuted on Dragon's Den, but by golly she's won me over big time!
That was such a poor choice. Both Touker and Tej, have experience in marketing products for younger children. They even offered to lower their equity later on.
She is a chump-her gut choice is one person with little to no experience in the sector wanting more than the two experts in the sector. Is it because she is a woman? Because she likes her more? Neither of them are credible business decisions.
It was a tough choice , yet Debs had the passion . Frankly , for me , would have gone with the 2 for less . Debs soon backtracked on the licensing after Peter trashed it . The T S bid was awesome , seriously 'Disney' OMF ! Have 30% :-) . TL would also add value !

Think choosing Deborah was a really bad idea. 25 percent for one dragon versus 30 for two dragons with larger enterprise, who would have dropped to lower equity than Deborah after their investment was paid back.
