    • @thedunyadoneya2628
      @thedunyadoneya2628 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Well no, not necessarily. In fact, not even probably. As it saves water, it means the utility companies spend less as they need to gather and process less water overall, so their profit would depend on the margin they charge customers from the (cheaper) starting point. And as they can claim they are using some new technology, they can probably justify higher prices, even though the cost is less.

    • @teamhardtaco8613
      @teamhardtaco8613 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      A water utility is a monopoly, they aren’t fully concerned with making people consume more but they are concerned with a consistent, reliable supply of water. This way water prices can reduce and then attract larger businesses to the area.
      This invention is used in my office in Australia and would be largely beneficial if every house had one as we are in drought and dam levels are lowering.

    I used to work in the fire safety industry. On a trip to one of the group's factories, I saw a new invention involving water that totally stunned me. They had a small chamber protected by one of these, and they set off an oil fire. Of course, oil fires and water don't normally work well together. They set it off, and we were invited to stick our hands into various openings in the chamber. They didn't even get damp. and the fire went out in seconds. They then showed that the demo had used a cupful of water only.
    That impressed me!

    The water savings on this are exaggerated. He’s comparing it to a full running tap, and not to other products in the market such as aerators that reduce water flow by mixing the water with air to maintain good pressure/coverage. Aerators also reduce water usage by up to 60%. So the only question ends up being how you would like to save the water. By shooting our a blade of water, or mixing it the water with air. And aerators don’t require any adjustments to the water pressure. So this business, while it has some potential, isn’t revolutionary or game changing in terms of its contributions to environmentalism.

    • @lulu-gt6kl
      @lulu-gt6kl 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Basically the only thing his 'invention' does is changing the way the water flows (The "wall" of water). His 60% is definitely manipulated as you say.
      Useless product really. People need to be cautious before investing a lot of money into feel-good inventions that claim to save the enviroment.
      Aerators does the exact same thing.
      Also, his idea of turning down the water pressures on the valves under the water mixer is going to ruin the valves in the long run lol.
