Money & status has always created a dominance hierarchy in society where the rich & powerful attract followers - but true/ genuine / almost selfless & equal friendships based on mutual liking / love & respect were & are not formed in such equations. I can vouch for that from personal experience & from what I see in society.
I don't think so in my group there are 2 3 people making more money than others but there is no effect on friendship..
@@akshat1601 You are lucky to be part of a group of people who do not make friends & form ties on the basis of money & status , but they form friendships on the basis of mutual respect & similar interests etc. That is true in case of really genuine people not affected & influenced by societal parameters of status & money & power etc. Even I have such friends and value them greatly. But sadly the General trend is far from ideal . As a professor who has taught in 3 Colleges & worked in a University - I witness these power dynamics on a regular basis . It is also evident in relatives circles & in society in general. I am an idealist & don't believe in judging people on the basis of social status , money , caste, religion etc. - but there are people who are different . When I was young I thought these things don't exist , with age , experience & exposure I have seen reality to be different. But happily , nice people also exist.
