- what is up guys this is my ford f150 i have a roush intake, exhaust, and 87 performance tow tune from 5 star sit back and enjoy the music to your ears.

I've got this exact exhaust set up, im about to swap the muffler for an 8 inch glasspack!
lol its loud enough for me maybe some long tube headers
This kit is $1000 in Canada from a dealer. Just a muffler and resonator delete is all you need.
Sounds great. Definitely one of the better videos for the roush exhaust! I'm guessing that you took off the stock resonator...
Thanks man appreciate it! And yes resonator has been deleted you have to delete it in this kit. But i may at some point put one back in its so loud when im towing my cargo trailer lots of drone

I just ordered one for my 2012 F150 with the 5.0 does it increase the horsepower can you tell a significant difference

I just bought the flowmaster American thunder system with the super 40 muffler and that was too loud for me. I am going to custom fab a super 50 and keep the stock resonator on my American thunder system. Annoying loud exhaust pipes are like herpes... great fun to catch, not so much fun to live with every day... J. Clarkson.
Yeah keep the resonator on and it will help these 5.0l are loud once you delete that resonator

Duneblogger really curious how that tuners working..i can hear a HUGE difference frm stock shift points, seems to have taken away the 3rd and 4th gear lockup. tuners just always sketch me out lol but man i can see the results

You might want to powder coat the tips black so you don't have to constantly polish them. The rest of the exhaust has held up for me so far and it's been over 2 years now just the tips need a good cleaning

best money spent. huge difference in shift points. they feel good i hated the stock shift points also keeps it in gears longer. highly suggest getting a tuner. i put it on when the truck had 1800 miles on it and it now has 46000 so it is safe
i have a 140,000 mile 2016 Ford F150 , you think its safe to get the level pack with tuner?

I will say anything under 65 there is a little rumble no drone that is the speed i usually go on the freeway. 66-75 loud not horrible tho ive had worse drone tho. 80 is a nice rumble not much drone. Medium 1throttle sounds good and has drone but once you get up to speed its fine.Worst drone i have is when im towing my toy hauler or cargo trailer going up hills. It sounds amazing but sometimes i wish there was a mute button. So if you plan on towing a lot i Wouldn't recommend .Hopes this helps make your decision. just pack around ear plugs. Also maybe look into getting a roush intake that will make your truck sound good with 0 drone
I actually saw a video on the intake and might consider it. I don't do much towing or highway driving so it should work well for me. Could it be drowned out with music without raising the music to a deafening volume?
oh yeah you can definitely turn up the music and not here it. its loud and has drone but its not like being in a honda civic with a fart cannon on the back loud lol. if you decide on the intake i would recommend the roush just because of fitment and overall quality and price its like $280 on ebay. k and n is about the same price but i think the quality and fitment just isnt as good. just my opinion tho
Anybody else not getting 18 mpg out of their 5.0?
Mine is a single cab less weight and all freeway
I get a beautiful 14mpg... I'm a crewcab with a 6.5 bed. But I have an intake and a tune.. I hoped that would've helped, but no..

I get about 16.5. Maybe 2/3rd of my mileage is highway going back and forth to work.

5 star tuning 87 performance tow tune. Best all around tune i think. I also have a 93 race tune but way to agressive for everyday driving
Duneblogger. Awesome man that's what I'm looking at. Sounds like the sloppy 2 to 3 and 3 to 4th stock shifts gone thank god! I love my 13 f150 with 5.0 stock shifts are so bad! No issues with the truck having the tune in it?

Duneblogger what did you choose for transmission settings with mike? I think you finally sold me on getting rut tuned lol they always make me little nervous but its like a whole different engine!
It just came with the 87 tune haven't messed with it felt way better so left it alone. Firmer shifts nothing crazy like if you had a shift kit in it. The 93 race tune feel that way tho
