Great addition if you don't use your tailgate for camping or tailgating football games. Not able to sit on it or place drinks and food. I appreciate the video my man. Thank you
I NEVER THOUGHT i NEEDED ONE BUT MY NEIGHBOR HAS AN AFTERMARKET UNIT ON HIS. NOW I 'NEED' ONE ON MY F159 (AFTER HAVING 4 F350'S WHICH ARE AT LEAST 4" TALLER - YEAH, SUUURE I DO) SORRY ABOUT ALL CAPS BUT BIG FINGERS SOMETIMES DO THAT !
Great video! This install would be a good place to use rivet nuts. I bought the rivet nut setter at harbor freight, got stainless nuts from Amazon. It’s been Awesome for mounting stuff in the thin metal of cabs and truck beds.
Fantastic! This is a great product...something I was looking for. And your video is great and your description is detailed which could help us install it correctly the first time. Kudos to your camera lady...this is the real thing not a rehearsed recording! A+
You did great job of solving and working thru all the issues you had. To fix the clamp door that gets hung up on the bolts, you could shorten the bolt a little and get a thin nylon locking nut. The thinner nut, and by you shortening the bolt up a little, will fix the issue.
Awesome video, I myself have problems getting up and down of my truck bed due to age and a military leg issue. This will truly make my life so much easier when working in and out of the truck bed.I especially like the extra space with the step acting as a secondary tail gate expansion. Thank you for your time and awesome presentation.
Thanks for all the info! Kudos to the camera woman (they are always under appreciated). I've got a 2019 Lariat, and it has a step. I had thought that all Lariats and above came with them. Glad mine actually has one. The Limitless step looks quite nice compared the tiny factory step. The factory step is sturdy, and has no issues supporting a lot of weight, but it falls short as a bench to sit on, or a place to set tools down, or your lunch. I like the GMC multi function tailgate a lot more. I was looking at both the Sierra and the F150. If it wasn't for the fact that I tow trailers between 6k and 10k feet in elevation, and how much HP naturally aspirated engines lose at altitude, I might have gone with the Sierra. I love my 3.5 ecoboost!
I love your truck. Nice color. I bought a used 2019 fi50 and it came with the step. I'm like you in my 60's and any jump off the bed of the truck would be a trip to the ER. lol
I'm with you on that. That would have been an add on or perhaps a higher trim level. But honestly this step is freaking strong and wide mind you now I'm 66. So practical. Thanks for viewing.
They soon will be, ford is bringing a lot of options to the table that are now standard!! 12” infotainment screen, all digital dash cluster is just the beginning. Next year there will be more. Possibly push to start, power back window, who knows? They are looking at ways to increase MSRP and justifying it by making things standard. Problem is people don’t like the price tag involved. STX now its own trim and a 50K truck.
@@prairiestrong1106 Enjoy your truck"Yay! Great" . I think I was in the ball park around 850. just the other day i transported a double side PVC pool step it came right up to the end of the tail gate. No problem just lifted up the back of the step and I had an instant tailgate door didn't even have to secure the load. Eventually it pays for itself.
Great video brotha! You are the epitome of a DIY'er. Thanks for sharing. My 2023 Lariat also doesn't have the built in step & it really bums me out cause I'm also up there in age, about 2 or 3 years behind you. I don't know if I'll go this route but I definitely need some kind of helper bed step. Keep it up bro...God bless.
Just buy a tailgate with the Pro Step that was damaged in an accident on the front of the truck. Probably the same price, takes five minutes to install.
Nice mod, Will. One of the things I love about my Sierra is the multipro tailgate with the built in step. Makes getting in and out of the bed so simple. Liked and subbed, best of luck with the channel ✅
Hey man good video! Just purchased a 2023 F150 and looks like you added some other neat stuff. Another video would be cool showing what all you have done.
Thanks for asking. There is no part number as it's a universal step you can install on any truck tailgate. The step itself is Goin to run you approximately $850 shopping included. Hope this answers your concern. Thanks!
Because I got an excellent deal on this F-150. So to get one in this color and Lariat trim would have set me back about $1,800. Versus $750 Not to mention availability or the lack of. Thanks for asking.
Why in the hell you wan put that ugly thing in your tailgate, i bought 2022 F-150 Lariat came with the step and power tailgate that has a measuring and open and close remotely either with your key or from inside the truck
@@loverjoeyable Hi quite actually I did not buy it for looks it's built strong, sturdy, and easy to manage It can hold more than 300 lbs. Perhaps if my truck would had come with the factory step I would have left it alone. Thanks for your inquiry.

Thanks but you can sit on tailgate, just got to pull the step out over the tailgate and let it hang .

I am a ford guy but the tailgate step should come standard on all pickup trucks.
I'm with you on that. That would have been an add on or perhaps a higher trim level. But honestly this step is freaking strong and wide mind you now I'm 66. So practical. Thanks for viewing.

100%
Picked up a 2024 STX with no tailgate step. Totally sucks. A new tailgate with step is $1000. Looks like a two step folding ladder in the box for me.

I have 2 more videos I want to edit them appropriately so it can be appreciated better. Including my Oops! Moments. Thanks
I’ve been looking for something like that. Can you tell where you ordered it from?
LimitlessChassis.com.au
@@willeb522 thank you so much
I looked on the site you mentioned and I don’t see the step available???
Great video!
Does very professional
You've got the onboard scales on that though dont ya? Asking because i see the 4 lil indicator lights in the taillight.
Yes it does very good observation. On that note OBS can be confused with old body style.
I have the built in…. It is great!
what was the price , i love it...Mitch
Hi Mitch price for the tailgate step around $800 delivered. Price for the truck way less than the norm.
You failed to mention a part number or cost - what are they?
Thanks for asking. There is no part number as it's a universal step you can install on any truck tailgate. The step itself is Goin to run you approximately $850 shopping included. Hope this answers your concern. Thanks!

I bought a used 2021 150 w/o step
@@willeb522 the fact that a tailgate step doesn't come standard from factory on a new lariat is honestly BS on Ford's part.
Are you Macho Man Randy Savage?
Unfortunately he passed in 2011. Now I don't think I look like him LOL.
You do look like him, and you could impersonate him... 😄
Just carry a small platform step with fold out legs in the back of the truck
I guess you could but you'd probably miss out on the sturdier and convinience side of this step. Thanks for your comments.
The ford oem tailgate step is much better
