Glad to see the old girl moving under her own power. Looks like you had the rear end in low range the whole time. With a two speed rear they'll often be something like a 1.3:1 underdrive in low range.
For instance I have an old one with a 6.50:1 in high and 8.80 :1 in low. It makes a big difference. Especially in a truck that can be in 5th gear by 35mph.
Most of those old transmissions had unsynchronized first gear, but shifting up from there was usually ok. Downshifting... not so much. You have to match rpms and double clutch. You'll eventually get the feel for it, but you will grind the gears a bit before you get the hang of it.
As for the clutch, I've had a couple of vehicles where the clutch glued itself to the flywheel after sitting for a long time. If the linkage /slave cylinder is working you can usually use the engine to free them up. Get some weight on it, and start the engine a higher gear like you were. Once you're rolling, pull up on the switch on the shifter to shift the rear end into high range. (Never mess with that switch when going down a hill. The diff can freewheel if you do it wrong) Then just find a hill, and rock the throttle hard while holding in the clutch.
Most of the time the clutch will let go of the flywheel. At that point just drive it around a bit and shift a lot. The flywheel will get rust spots on it just like a brake rotor. You want to wear some of that off.
Very cool old project you have there. The nice thing about f series trucks is that the cabs usually share a lot of sheet metal with the pickups. You can almost certainly buy stamped pieces the most common rust spots. Nobody makes anything for my C series cabover. I'm currently fabricating a couple of pieces to fix a hole in the the step and kick panel area.
    Best of luck Sir!

I was wondering if it was in low... Might try to wire up the 2 speed if that's the case. I've watched some videos on 2 speeds, and it seems fine to operate once you get the sequence memorized.
If you watch to the end, we did get the clutch freed up! But that'll come in the next video.
The cab compatibility with my F100 is a major reason i was willing to take on this project! C series are badass for sure but I like being able to buy from LMC. This cab is really really really far gone, so I'll be sourcing a clean one from a part-out. I already have clean fenders and some other stuff sitting in the barn!

@@SealedBeamRallyTeam I missed you getting the clutch freed up. I'll have to watch the end again. When you dig into the 2 speed, check the switch first. Mine seemed fine but would only make contact occasionally. The good news is that the switch is fairly cheap. Unless you're going to be hauling a LOT of weight with the truck you'll find that shifting the rear isn't really necessary most of the time. I keep mine in high range most of the time unless I'm trying to maneuver into a really tight spot and want to creep up on it.
I wish someone was making stuff for the C series. I also have a 1960 (orhpan) ford f350. There is some stuff available for it but nothing like the 61+. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. I do have a parts cab I bought years ago but it needs work too. I'm currently teaching myself a bit of sheet metal fab and welding. Hopefully I'll be able to start fixing some of this stuff before long.
      Love the project videos!
      Best of luck.

@@BD-xz6te Just a taste at the very end. I'll have the full clutch video coming out on Friday. We have checked into the axle. The switch works, motor works, everything. We heard it shift sitting still once or twice recently! But the exterior wires are in tatters. I picked up an 11/32" wrench to get to those pesky Eaton motor wiring nuts so it'll get some clean electrons soon. I plan on doing a whole video on planetary gears, so keep an eye out sometime this winter or next spring.
And yeah, I expect I'll have to keep this in high most of the time as well; I could haul all my other cars at once and still barely flex the springs. Eventually might try to find an aftermarket overdrive unit to put behind the transmission, too. 55mph is fine around town, but 65-70 is better *if possible* for multiple hour trips. I do plan on buying a stage rally car at some point, which would mean 6+ hour drives to and from races.
Love those fridge body F-Series. If I didn't get a slick, I'd get a fridge. Man, they're cool. Keep at it. What do you need for the C Series? Hopefully the patches aren't exterior bodywork! If you need inspiration check out my Sonett trunk replacement videos... my first welding project! Anyway thanks for dropping a line and some experience!

It was 3 years old when dad bought it and set it up for hauling baled hay . I'm looking for pictures of mouse loaded with a load square bales .

So the co-op must have only had it for a few years. Do you have any old photos of the truck that you'd like to share?
