My father had a truck just like yours and it was the same make, year and color in and out. The only difference is that my father had a cattle rack on his. Every Tuesday and Thursday, he would truck cattle to the Empire Livestock Marketing facility in our area where local farmers could sell their cull animals. They would call the house to let him or whoever answered the phone, what and how many they had to send the following week. When I saw your son sitting there in the passenger seat with you, it reminded me of how I used to ride along with my father on his cattle routes. So many good memories. Thank you Alan! I was waiting for you to pull that two-speed rear end knob up and kick it into high range! 😀

My dad told a story one time of he and his cousins putting land plaster on peanuts with John Deere B's with duster boxes. They were running the field pretty fast and a bee stung one of the cousins on the elbow causing him to shove the throttle all the way forward. He hit a bump in the field and broke all the hoppers off. They told all sorts of crazy stories about running those tractors... God Bless!

Worked for an old neighbor back in the summer 1978 he had 66 like that straight six four speed two range 45 mile an hour downhill with a tailwind that was tops that's all you got out of her had a flat bed in the winch on it some of the tricks I saw that old boy pulls that track with amaze you. It had a winch on it we pulled a 40 ft House trailer and the house trailer moving truck with that winch and that whole thing one time had to tie it to a tree across the road from the trailer to get it to work whole Frank let that clutch out put his foot on the gas and all things start to snort pretty quick the front end of that little truck tractor lifted up in the air in the trailer come out of the spot with the giant sucking noise it worked. We rebuilt the motor in it that summer I remember helping him take it out pulled apart and put a new crank in it new bearings rings and pistons that was quite a truck I used to take it from northwestern Pennsylvania down into Maryland someplace and pick up bulldozer tracks for a local coal company from a company down in Maryland that rebuilt them for them they always had a corset down there being worked on every time they were set out Frankie go get them and it was funny and people were up in their mid seventies they crawling that truck and get down there swap out of those tracks spend the night and head back. You always tell me well no work tomorrow boy I got to go to Baltimore there they go sure was big fan of those two old people.

The one thing that I always thought was really neat was the F700 that had the heavy transfer case and driveshaft driven straight axle front end, with a pretty large PTO driven winch mounted on the front of the truck.
. I think that this truck was from the early 1970s. We had a core drilling crew that used this truck. Whoever purchased that truck when it was auctioned off got a true gem considering all of the fairly new parts that this truck had. The Ford 330 had a 4" bore, 3.25 stroke. Replaced the 292 in 1965. To my knowledge, never used in pickups, was the basic V8 in B, C, & F series, 500, 550, & 600. Competed with the Chevy 327. Distributor was on the front of the engine, handy for tune ups. Drove many of them. B was for school bus, C for cabover, F for conventional. Not sure when they quit using them.

We're you don't run the old truck much, try to get ethenol free gas and put stable in it. Sure keeps them running better.
