i really need someone to talk on this topic. because ibreally face less milk supply issues . specially in evening and nights and my baby remains hungry… that finally i have to give her formula milk…
@@maryamshaheen5118 How old is baby ? It can definitely look like a low supply issue at night when it’s really not. I’ll attach a couple of videos here. We do have slightly less milk in the evening but it’s slightly higher in fat. Baby will sometimes need to eat almost non stop in the evenings. The extra fat is great for growth and development and it helps baby to sleep a slightly longer stretch. Baby will often have very fussy times in the evenings. This will be difficult for a few days to a week, then better for a few days or a week. Each baby is different though. In the evening, baby can be over stimulated, overly tired or hurting from growing pains. It hurts to grow so quickly. This makes moms believe that supply is low. You can definitely give formula and baby will get really full and fall asleep. We are all sleepy after a huge meal. If you want to keep supply up, you’ll need to pump at around the same time as baby gets formula. It’s helpful to feed from both breast, then give a small amount of formula then back to the breast. Hi my baby girl is 1 month on 4th I am pumping not brestfeeding but my milk is coming so low like 20 ml or 40ml each session i try herbs water but still same help me?
Are you an exclusive pumper by choice or was there a problem latching? When you are an exclusive pumper, it takes some extra work. You need to pump at least as often (and slightly more often) as baby eats. The really big part that most moms don’t do but very necessary is massage for stimulation. Baby’s mouth on your breast stimulates your milk supply because it moves differently, baby is on longer than a pump and baby’s saliva absorbs into your breast to tell your body to make more milk. The stimulation needs to be at least a full 10 minutes before pumping, then breast compressions while pumping. Also, hold baby as much as possible, skin to skin. Put baby just in a diaper and then on your bare chest. Do this as much as possible. It will take 3 to 5 days of doing this consistently to begin to see an increase. Being an exclusive pumper is more work but you can do it. ❤️
Herbs are likely to help with your milk supply and for some moms it can lower supply. Water won’t increase your milk supply. You would need to be very dehydrated for it to affect your supply. Drink to thirst. 👍❤️
Hi Mary! I love how you give the information using easy-to-understand concepts.. Thanks so much! I did not know about the importance of stimulation/massage. Will definitely start implementing your advice!
