One of the sad knock on effects of the vinyl revival is that the economics have changed. it makes most sense for AS and Speakers Corner to rest on their laurels and press off a few old classical titles when there is a bit of capacity rather than invest in new masters with limited market potential compared with rock and certain cool jazz musicians . It’s likely just Analogphonic and Original Source DG that will,be producing interesting new classical stuff for the foreseeable future, shame as AP records can be awesome.
From what we have been told the London Blue backs were pressed first because they needed to be shipped out to the US so, in a way, they are the originals over the Decca, although the Decca cover art was always better.
Wonderful! Now if you would stop using FedEx to ship to Canada, those guys are the Pirates of the shipping business. Here's how they operate, first they sign a company on to an exclusive discount rate (which is often still higher than the competition) then they charge the receiver exorbitant brokerage fees. The Best international shipping company is UPS, at least in our experience to Canada, both residential and business they knock it out of the park!
I am guessing no Mercury Living Presence lps were recommended because 1. Analog Productions does not have any NOS Classic Records in stock and 2. no license to print more of them.
I am not sure why but Analog Production presses amazing Jazz and Vocal records but not so good on classical, past EMI, Decca presses seemed to be musical in my system, but again, best in Jazz and Vocal with Analog Production
And see STP CORE and PURPLE for Atlantic 75. We need SIAMESE DREAM pressed by you, Chad. The USE YOUR ILLUSIONs. SUPERUNKNOWN. IN UTERO. THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL… That said, AP has definitely been expanding my classical horizons and I’m open to new classical records. I have the ROYAL BALLET at 45 and it is STELLAR.
You got me with Smetena's "The Moldau" that you were playing off of the Rhapsodies album... Beautiful
Thanks!. This is so much appreciated. I really need guidance into the world of classical music.
From the blues to classical music, you know how to ride the lightning, Chad! 👍👍👍 I wish everyone at Acoustic Sounds a very Happy Thanksgiving. ❤
Right, Chad. Reissue RIDE THE LIGHTENING! I just bought a NM UK 1987 pressing at 45rpm.
Thank you so much! This is so much appreciated. I needed a guide as I get into classical.
Thank you Chad! You are awesome
I know all of these records and agree about their quality.
Wonderful!
Excellent suggestions
Nice review, Chad! Especially the part with the frozen cookies. Winter's comin'
dear chad, thank you!!! I agree all amazing titles Go on! Do we have any chance to see Sinatra+Jobin from Analogue Productions?
I have all of them🎉. Happy thanksgiving.
great segment. thank you...
Thanks Chad
I have various audiophile-grade pressings of 9 of these 10...guess I need to plan to get number 10 :)
Any advices for modern recordings?
Yesterday I scored a 2010 AP Blue Note double 45 rpm of Jimmy Smith Back at the Chicken Shack at my local record store.
such a great video
Hopefully we get new licensed Classics titles from analog productions.

Great choices. My list would be similar, I would perhaps add Rossini - String Sonatas. Cheers
You had me at "diaper time."
Agreed!! And "this will frost your cookies".

A FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON PARTED ! ! SAVE YOU MONEY BUY A GOOD CD PLAYER ! !
Chad we don’t want classical…we want 1990’s American rock . Look how successful the white stripes uhqr has been
I love most genres of music, but I would take classical over 90's rock any day. Expand your horizons.

We want classical!!!!
Speak for yourself. This stuff is awesome and blows anything White Stripes has done out of the water.
Who’s this “we”, totally do want classical releases.
