    Hi PJ, please can you help with some advice. I have a leak inside my Chico that drop for the heater and I can seem to find where the water is coming from.

    • @pjs-golfmk1-diy

      If you referring to the heater matrix.it can be the hoses connected to it ,or clamps not tight enough, or a hole due to rust in the actual heater matrix

    Please help me PJ... This is the first year my golf has issues with rain leaking into the cabin. My fusebox was soaked including the mat on the passenger side.. this morning I saw the water flooded in the center console where the gear lever sits. Where could that be coming from.. please help.. I've been following your guidance and every little bit has help 🙏

      Ok ,first thing is ,are you sure that's rain water or maybe coolant from the heater matrix..

      Hi there. Thanks for your comment. That sounds like water splashing up from your front wheel. The water hits the undercarriage with quite a force forcing water in.. Look if you can see any holes on the body behind the drivers side wheel. Hope this helps. Thanks for visiting my channel.

      I have a massive hole right by the wiper motor bracket, above clutch padal, water pis into cabin.

      @pjs-golfmk1-diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hiemabedrog Hi there.. Yes that's a tricky one. I wud say, first try and do a weld to the bracket if it's possible.. So that the wiper motor is secure, and then do the fiber glass to water proof it..

    I have water coming in by the brake pedal, only on days when the rain is heavy. Also yesterday KZN experienced a terrible storm so water got into the car from the dashboard onto the passenger floor. I think your video explains where this excess water came from. Will check all the drains once the storm subsides. Just wondering if it could have done any damage

    • @pjs-golfmk1-diy
      @pjs-golfmk1-diy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No damage really, but carpet would be a bit damp for a while.., and give off a bit of foul smell. Just try and identify where it leaks, so u don't have more water coming in.

      @@pjs-golfmk1-diy I'm told the fuse box is on the passenger side of the dashboard. Could water get in there? My demister also wasn't working, instead there was steam for a few seconds. Is that the resistor or the coolant?

    Hello, thanks for the tips but my side seems to only be in the passenger side floor where the entire carpet is soaked everytime it gets a wash could it be the plastic seal behind door card or something else

    • @pjs-golfmk1-diy
      @pjs-golfmk1-diy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The best way to check is to use a hose pipe... Let someone hose the side door and windscreen etc, and you sit in the cabin and watch closely, if you can see where it's coming from... Are u sure it's not coming from the door rubbers or it could be coming in through the firewall..

      Also check on your oil pressure switches .one on top of oil filter housing (white in colour) ,and one on side of cylinder head ( blue or brown in color)....Did you prime your pump when you replaced it ?

      Hi, could be the bulb... Take the bulb out and check if there's any corrosion that could cause a bad connection.. Just clean it up if any.

      Water is getting to your electronics in the engine Bay. Spray some Q20 on these electronic components. It will definitely help, Q20 displaces water and moisture.. Have a look at this video. It will show you how, and what to do..... th-cam.com/video/6Mtzs033EYE/w-d-xo.html

    • @pjs-golfmk1-diy
      @pjs-golfmk1-diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. Sometimes if it's wet under behind drivers seat check underneath the car.. Water can splash up from the wheels and it hits the undercarriage with force squeezing water in.. And leakes in the trunk comes through your rear lights, and if the rubber seal at the tailgate is worn. Thanks for your comment and visiting the channel...
