My step grandson is a Now Captain in the US Army, who worked as a Captain for the Captain that had been re-assigned, for about a year, with no increase in pay during that time acting as the substitute Captain! He also had to cover his own duties while taking care of the reassigned Captain duties. All of this because of Tubberman of Louisiana! Finally, he has gotten his promotion.

USAF Veteran here. I served during the final years of the cold war and Desert Storm. I got out in December of 91 after taking an early out. I agree 100%. Supporting the Military means supporting the people who have put their lives on hold and stepped up and are ready to defend the country when necessary. It is NOT blindly agreeing with every military operation that politicians green light. I remember at the end of Desert Storm, we stopped after the mission was met, although there were those that wanted to continue on. The Iraq war was just a continuation of Desert Storm, over a decade later. I'm glad I took that early out, because, if I had stayed in for 20, my 20 years would have been completed a few months after 911, and I have no doubt that I would have re-enlisted instead of retiring, because that's how much I love this country.
My nephew was in Desert Storm, a career Army man, who later died in a motorcycle accident in his 30's. RIP Glen.
