That could split the Democratic vote if both Biden and his replacement are on the ballot. The logistics of dropping out are way too tough to overcome at this point.

Okay, I think some discussion about whether or not Biden should step aside for about a couple of weeks. However, enough is enough. Unlike trump, Biden has spoken publicly multiple times since the trump-friendly debate. My mom lived several years with Alzheimer's dementia, and I worked in the psych field for over 30 years. I detect no signs of dementia in President Biden. He has a slowing down, an age appropriate amount of cognitive decline, but that's a far cry from incapacitation. Conversely, take a real look at even the young brain of donald trump. Then, look at the damaged brain of this aged narcissist, trump. Couple that with trump's and magat's Project 2025. Why is this even under discussion? Where is there an actual competition between the elder statesman, Joseph Biden and the Adderall-addled, demented donald trump?????

There is no guarantee a replacement gets on the ballot in all states. That would be catastrophic for our chances.

Could the mixed messages actually be a ruse to put Trump's campaign off balance? Trump, not knowing who he really might be running against, will increase his anxiety. Therefore, more crazy, authoritarian rallies.
