I have had sciatica for 2 years. I got all of the instructions, gadgets and gizmo's. They didn't help much. Even Bob and Brad failed me. Then... I started taking a hot 104F - 45 minute - tub bath soak -- every night, about 1 hour before bed. Now I sleep like a dead person for 7-8 hours. The sciatica never wakes me up now. And the dreams that I am having now are amazing. I have high praise for the hot bath nightly soak while I listen to an audiobook.
I use Dr Teals bath salt n the liquid soap stuff. The eucalyptus works best for my pain, but the aswaga is really calming like putting me into a meditative state. I have an intermittent achy hip and buttocks and very occasional numbness but I pass the slump test. I just don't know. I did pull a lower back muscle a few weeks ago which seemed to have healed but these other issues aren't going away. I can still play tennis asymptomatically but sometimes walking a distance brings on the hip, buttocks achiness and numbness. No clue. I'm usually very resistant to chronic injury.
Sometimes as a lower back condition worsens you may have symptoms just in the buttocks and hips without lower backs symptoms. The same thing can occur in reverse. The concept of centralization versus peripheralization of symptoms.
@@apexmovebetter Thanks for your reply. I think you're trying to suggest to me that my lower back has a possibly chronic condition that is causing symptoms elsewhere.
