Alright I'm having some issues with Internet connection with my PS4, when I go to enter my WiFi I can obtain the IP address but always fails with the PSN sign in when I'm in Test Internet Connection and Network. Hot question, hopefully you answer. So my ps4 was being funky so I fully initialized it. Now when I go to connect my controller, it won’t connect. The cord I have charges it just fun as I had it charging not too long before I initialized it. I reset the controller. Reset my ps4. Stuck on Safe mode now. So, I’m at a loss in what to do bc not only will my only controller not connect, but also there’s nothing I can do about getting into my ps4. How can I fix this, I’m about to take it apart and sell it for scrap

Hold power till ps4 shutdown completely then hold power to you hear beep to enter service menu try data rebuild but might have to system restore worse case.

DO NOT UNPLUG POWER CORD WHILE SYSTEM IS ON! IT CORRUPTS DATA AND DAMAGES THE CONSOLE AND CONTROLLERS! (if controllers are plugged in)

+edwin gomez I just fix what was wrong I just started tapping on it I started tapping the PS4 and then everything went good after that.
Did you turn on the ps4 first and then start tapping on it ?

hey man, so no one will answer my question for some reason, i let my little brother play my ps4, and he tripped over the wires and the console fell. now whenever i turn it on it just keeps blinking blue and won't go white, when i try to boot it into safe mode it just turns off, whenever the ps4 is on but it's blinking blue i have to unplug it in order to turn it off because the power button only seems to work for turning on now. a reply would be greatly appreciated
David Baca seems like you might have a loose connection inside the ps4. check hdd connections and other cable connections. hard drives are shock sensitive so it may be bad but most likely the shock of the drop caused a loose connection. hope this helps

Thank yoi for making this video. The video is 6 years old and still helping people today. I had to use your hard reset technique today, Playstation 4 pro started acting funny. First it turned on when I used my controller, then it asked to press the PS button on my controller after already turning on from me using the PS button on the controller. Next thing, the controller stops working pretty much, won't connect to the Playstation at all. First it beeps blue, then looks like it's connected but Playstation wasn't responding to any button presses. Then it stopped connecting to the PS altogether.
So that's when I start to Google 'how to reset Playstation 4 without the controller' and boom! your video pops up.
What I ultimately had to do was hard reset the ps4 pressing and holding down the power button for 10 seconds. Then disconnect the wires and controller, reset the controller, plug the wires back in and try the PS button on the controller.
Luckily it worked and Playstation is back to working fine , controller connected to it and I had to try a game just to be sure.
BTW, one last little detail. This all started after I accidentally ejected a game while playing it yesterday, I accidentally touched the eject button while trying to plug in the USB chord. Next time I tried to turn in the PS this is what happened

Yo if you try to rebuild data base, it can take HOURS I'm just saying and it didn't fix my problem. Also, I want to say I'm having the issue of cannot start the PS4. Connect dualshock 4 using USB cable and then press PS button. Now I believe to fix this u must do the last option on the safe menu. The catch is you need a USB storage that is greater(can hold more data) than your built in PS4 hard-drive. I'm sorry this can be expensive but most likely if u have the issue I do then your hard drive is possibly dead. :(((
I get this video is old but maybe you can help me. When I plug in my USB flash drive to get music off it for sharefactory it always freezes then a few minutes goes by it shuts off. And suggestions?

Wondering if you could help me with something? My friends wifi went out so I got the guy to come over and take a look at it. They had to change the box. Its bigger and its not the same as the last. As soon as I brang my ps4 over, I turned it on and no matter what I did, I couldnt get the wifi back on. The wifi name wont even show up... I tryied every way but my wifi name is not poping up...well, my friends wifi name is not showing up. (Sorry). I know its not the wifi because it works on everything else. My laptop, computer, cellphones and smart tvs are all working fine. As you can see, Im using it just fine.
Im the kind of person that HAS to figure this stuff out or it bothers me. ALOT. lol. Ive searched but I cant find anything. Wondering if you would know anything about that?

ElementDGX Try changing wifi locations. If you cant, let the company know that you need a different box for wifi. Some boxes will not work. If you go to a different wifi location and it works, then you know, for a fact, that its the box and not the PS4.
If you entered it in manually and the wifi name doesn't come up, tell the company to change the type of wifi box.

I got a problem. I tried plugging my ps4 into an older TV with an hdmi/rv cord because I wanted to see if it would work since that tv is 65' inch but it didn't.
Plugged it back into my newest one and now it doesn't get a signal at all, not even a flicker. Just a solid black screen, the ps4 powers up fine and I have tried different cords.
my ps4 won't record right anymore ): I've been doing youtube for about a year now without any problems. Now when I click the record button it'll say it's recording but when I go back to look at the recording it doesn't get the full clip. It will like start 3 minutes after I hit the record button then it'll end in a random place even though that is not where I ended the recording myself. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

the freeze thing doesnt work, i was playing MGS TPP then the loading screen took too long so I pressed the ps button in the contorller to do stuff but it still in the loading screen, it didnt show me to home. It felt weird, I removed the disc but the loading screen didnt dissapear, then I tried to turn off the ps4 in the power button but nothung beeped and it was in a white light.

My PS4 fucking fucked up like every PS4 does. And my stupid ass friend said initialize it thats what i did lmao. Yeah well there goes everything. I have to reinstall all my games and for some reason now my connection speed is at like 0. A simple game update file takes 90hrs to download and my PS4 keeps fucking turning off during the installation of games like GTA. SO IM FUCKED! I CANT DOWNLOAD SHIT I CANT INSTALL SHIT I CANT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE MY PS4 WONT STOP FUCKING TURNING OFF AND TURNING BACK ON! RIDICULOUS! THERE IS NO BACKUP SYSTEM TO REVERSE THE INITIALIZATION! So I can't play anything anymore. Because Sony somehow fucks up all their shit. So when in the middle of installing something which takes 100hrs LITERALLY to install it turns it off and then says "Your PS4 was not shut down properly" Like no shit sherlock. I'm furious! The support lines are all stupid or dont exist. So I guess I can kiss my $600 PS4 goodbye because Sony can't make a console that plays video games.
Sometimes when im closing out an application it will get stuck on a blue screen. if I hold it down again the blue screen will get the controller battery and a straight white line across the top. hit the middle button again they go away but the blue screen stays and wont go away until I hit the button on the system to go into rest mode. Have you ever heard of this?

Okay, so I have a problem here. I've had my ps4 for a little over a year and have had little to no issues with it. However, over past week or so, I've been trying to reinstall Battlefield Hardline, and it keeps telling me that I don't have enough space. At first, it was telling me specifically how much more space I needed to delete, so I kept deleting stuff. But....when I finally deleted enough space for it, it just told me that "I need to delete unnecessary content from my storage." (Keep in mind I had at least 70gbs free.) Then if I hit retry, it just either tells me the same thing, or that "an error has occurred." I even bought it digitally (not the best idea, but luckily it was on sale.) to see if it was a problem with the disc, (because I bought it used.) and it STILL doesn't work. After all of this I decided to see if I could reinstall any other games that I had before, and deleted, and guess what.....I CAN'T REDOWNLOAD THOSE EITHER!!!! Essentially, it appears that I can't reinstall any game that I paid for, wether I bought it on disc or digitally. Because I went to reinstall a free game that I had, and deleted, and it started with absolutely no problems. If ANYONE can help me, PLEASE, PLEASE do it. I've done some research, and I haven't found anything that's helped me yet. Any suggestions, help, or ideas for a solution would be greatly appreciated. p.s I will be trying a couple new things that I found tomorrow, but I still would appreciate help.
If your getting just a black screen or a blinking black screen it's Sony's HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)(came with firmware update 1.70) it encrypts the video/audio stream from HDMI you can disable it under Settings > system > enable/disable HDCP. i had to plug my ps4 into an older tv to disable it so i could use my ps4 with my asus

Can you please help me. I have a monitor that only has a VGA Port. So I bought a HDMI - VGA Adapter. First time it worked perfectly fine and I could play ps4 using my monitor.

I have my PS4 plugged into a surge suppressor however they just tripped the power for a second and now my PS4 wont start at all. Trying to figure out how to reset it now... Update - completely took the power cord out of the PS4 and held the power button down for a bit(hard reboot I guess) waited a bit then plugged it all back in. Then I held the power button in for a thirteen count and was able to choose a data base rebuild. The next day it updated just about everyone of the games and apps. Working good again!

My ps4 froze on a game so I ebjected the disc and put in another to play another game. While the system was closing the frozen application, it gone back to the frozen application and now I can't do ANYTHING! Both power buttons are not responding. So do I need to unplug cords because I'm afraid to.
