I like how in the competitive scene, Zekrom was much better than Reshiram, but when Kyurem fused with both of them, their viabilities ended up being flipped.
Kyurem black at the time had no STAB moves good enough to make it powerful in Ubers. When it got icicle spear in Gen 8, it justified to being Ubers cause of how well it’s used. If there were more physical ice/dragon moves available, then it COULD see more usage. Kyurem white on the other hand has Draco meteor, Fusion flare, AND freeze-Dry, three powerful moves that take advantage of its high special attack and type coverage.
You know damn well that if the Gen 5 legendaries were made today Turboblaze and Terravolt would not only have been Mold Breaker clones like today but would also have gifted a 50% boost to Fire and Electric moves respectively Would have made both Kyurem fusions that much more potent with triple STAB
Last week, I talked about the Black Kyurem Sprite, but this one might be even better. Look at that flame generator pulsing with fire and then feeding back into the main body. This one looks a lot more noble than black, Almost like Reshiram's nature is keeping Kyurem from hunching over like a monster. God I love these old sprites and how much character they give off.

Kyurem white in my opinion is one of the best designed pokemon out there. The colors blend well together, and red flames stand out amazingly. Its also really cool how kyurem's appearance can change so drastically by just revealing its fangs.
Interesting to hear someone say this, cause at the time the kyurem fused designs were hated. People said they looked too much like yu gi oh monsters and that the designs were going downhill lol.
I remember always seeing this fused mon all the time on the White 2 title screen, and I really wanted it. Even though I think Black’s design might be a little cooler nowadays even if White’s looks a little more natural (I say as they are anything but natural), the idea of an Ice type using Fire type moves is super interesting to me
The Black and White anime had a notoriously troubled production, hence them barely using Team Plasma at all and rushing the job when they did get to it.

They were most likely saving it, I'd assume now they're gonna retouch on it in either a Legends Kyurem game, a third instalment of the Black and White series or a potential Gen 5 remake with added story since they'd have to cover both Black and White and Black and White 2 somehow.
And given Loaded Dice exists, both Kyurem forms have base 100 moves now at least that are Ice STAB. Weavile, I guess, was always going to be gutted and they needed a reason.
I would rather a combination of tinted lens + mold breaker. It's basically canon that Resh and Zek wield plasma, which is in the 11k-14.5k°F temperature. No type should "resist" their Fire and Electric moves.
Let’s hope one day game freak finally have the balls to make the original Kyurem form with both Reshiram and zekrom fused together if A Pokémon Legends Kyurem does get Greenlit.
I prefer Kyurem Black, but I'm glad we got both vids in such a short time frame, just like before. I really like the new vids, about concepts, eras, etc., but nothing beats the 'How Good Was Actually' 🙂! Also, I really love HOME's sprites, so I hope the Kyurem's ain't a one time thing!

Kyurem black/white animated sprites were so cool. Showing that it pulls energy from Zekrom’s/Reshiram’s engine like tails. The 3D models kind of lost their flare without that detail.

The Gen 5 sprite for Kyurem-White with the red is SO COOL. I get that the later design technically fits the color combination of Kyurem and Rehsiram as better…but man I like the original so much

I feel like I am one of the few people who likes the design of Kyurem's and, by extension, Necrozma's forms. While Black Kyurem didn't start in Ubers, White Kyurem was wrecking havoc in its debut generation. It's funny how White Kyurem got worse at time went on due to power creep while its counterpart was seeing some improvements in OU until eventually joining the other in Ubers.
I visited Worlds during Generation 8, and it had a really powerful set that was sadly really exploitable - it used bulldoze to trigger weakness policy on a partner, and it would then dynamax and throw out incredibly powerful max quakes and hailstorms. That stab combo would let it survive hits, and take out Zacian and the aforementioned bulky flying types. It was really incredible to watch in action, shame that it underperformed so badly - they had it playing on the big screen!

nah most of them are still too good for OU. Even Darkrai, which got nerfed to hell and back in recent gens, has never been seriously considered for testing and the idea gets shot down every time it comes up.
I want to reiterate I think that these 3 pokemon would make DOPE model figures Construct them, make them real posable, you can mi and match them into the different forms I think it'd be probably the coolest adult pokemon toy ever released

HUGE if, but if Kyurem ever gets added to Scarlet and Violet, it's going to devastate the game. Snow being a better hail, Terrastalizing, and a comfortable lack of Fairies, I think even Xerneas and Zacian would need to be a little worried.
@@beanballing i dont really remember much about it, this was back in Gen 6. I do remember that I used a Life Orb Deo-A (which really doesnt sound right for doubles), but thats all I can remember about the team. No doubt itd probably be stronger today, perhaps combined with Tera Ice.
We also need the Rotom Appliances and Bronzong.2 Sinnoh Pokemon from which the latter was supposed to be covered approximately 2 years ago but somehow didn't and has never been mentioned ever since.
Havent watched yet but I NEED to say: I loved Kyurem W in series 11 and 12 (worlds format) for SwSh. Dynamax and dynamic speed change tailwind made him an absolute savage. You could easily run away with a game in 4 turns using just Kyurem and Whimsicott. Not even the meta defining Zacian could survive a life orb Max Quake via Earth power. What a king!!!
Despite it not being Fire type, Kyurem White ends up being more nuclear than Reshiram. And alongside Zekrom, Kyurem White remains to be the only select few who can bring down Lugia from full health, with Multiscale intact, as Turboblaze bypasses the ability.

Reshiram is my favourite of the 2 legendary dragons, and I like its fusion with kyurem too, I think the white parts of reshiram go well with kyurem’s look

I've been loving Kyurem-white in Reg G in Scarlet/Violet. Tera Ice, Choice Specs, Modest, 252 sp attack Blizzard with an alolan ninetails helping hand just destroys way more than you think.

I’d give Kwhite the Mega Ray treatment; an ability that removes all of it’s ice type weaknesses. Benefits of ice stab while being neutral to rocks and keeping your fire resist as a dragon.
Imagine having excellent base stats, an incredible move pool, and a great offensive typing but still not good enough so you languish in obscurity in Ubers? Gamefreak balancing is truly insane!

these videos really make it apparent that sword/shield DOES look way better than the previous games. At least concerning the pokemon
Gen 5 has the best spritework in the series. My favorite is B2W2 Ghetsis. His rage is palpable.

The old games crashed if a Pokémon had three STABs. Now it should be changed to that. In fact in gen7 they introduced Steelworker on Dhelmise

We also need the Rotom Appliances and Bronzong.2 Sinnoh Pokemon from which the latter was supposed to be covered approximately 2 years ago but somehow didn't and has never been mentioned ever since.

I loved Kyurem W in series 11 and 12 (worlds format) for SwSh. Dynamax and dynamic speed change tailwind made him an absolute savage. You could easily run away with a game in 4 turns using just Kyurem and Whimsicott. Not even the meta defining Zacian could survive a life orb Max Quake via Earth power. What a king!!!
And with that, we are one step closer to the Xerneas special

Reshiram is my favourite of the 2 legendary dragons, and I like its fusion with kyurem too, I think the white parts of reshiram go well with kyurem’s look
Even though Kyurem fused with both Reshiram and Zekrom, Gamefreak still keeps the main question and biggest mystery of all time..
What did Kyurem originally look like before the split?
I think it would have been cool to choose what type the kyurem form would have when combined like fire/dragon, ice/dragon, fire/ice, electric/dragon, electric/ice

Kyurem White was in White 2, the games had a box legend swap from BW to BW2.
Kinda hate how they got rid of the red accents from the gen 5 sprite in later games
Kyurem was one of those pokemon that I also LOVED and the forms make them even better
Kyurem White has always been my favourite version of Kyurem, I got White 2 When it came out just because of it, and I got Black because of Reshiram
For me White 2 was my first ever pokemon game and its holds so much nostalgia and is one of the best in the series too which i had no idea at that time.
Watch normal kyruem vid be longer than the black and white kyruem. Let's go and finish that trio.

I've been loving Kyurem-white in Reg G in Scarlet/Violet. Tera Ice, Choice Specs, Modest, 252 sp attack Blizzard with an alolan ninetails helping hand just destroys way more than you think.

Wait I never realized they actually changed a little bit of Kyurem White’s design going into 3D, WHAT? It looks so much more plain without the little red spots. Not to mention Zekrom and Reshiram’s tails never glow anymore 😩

I’d give Kwhite the Mega Ray treatment; an ability that removes all of it’s ice type weaknesses. Benefits of ice stab while being neutral to rocks and keeping your fire resist as a dragon.

Correct me if im wrong, but at 11:00, you stated that Necrozma DM's Prism Armor help it to whitstand super efffective hits from W-Kyurem, But Prism Armor isn´t ignored by turboblaze?, its a defensive ability after all, that would means that Necrozma whitstand the hits just with its pure bulk.
Unfortunately Prism Armor can't be ignored, period. Same goes for Full Metal Body and Shadow Shield, for what it's worth.
