I also like that Zekrom and Reshiram’s types _aren’t_ really opposites. They’re both forms of energy, electricity and heat. And then Kyurem is ice. The cold, the absence of energy
And this lets us conclude that the original dragon could likely manipulate the elementary particles at will: one can dump energy into their movement, one can direct them based on charge, and the third, the remainder, locks them in place.

I know I heard someone a while ago theorize Team Plasma as being inspired by the natures of Reshiram and Zekrom, hot and ionized, together making plasma. To add on to that, I think that Neo Team Plasma, since their original motives believed by their king, N, were ruined, they have no solid foundation for their destructive actions, making Kyurem represent them better in Black and White 2.

i also like how reshiram has the blue eye and zekrom has the red one while they clearly dont match them. reshiram (fire) and zekrom (lightning). yin and yang with the black dot and the white dot. also kyurems eyes look totally soulless, and when merged with reshiram or zekrom, he gets his pupils back.

I always thought that Iris and Cilan from the anime represented truth and ideals and Ash was always in the middle. Iris is more in tune with the world around her, the ideals and Cilan is the logical one always searching for the truth. Ash was always in the middle thinking of them both.

@@kerrywien6775 Actually, if this theory was correct, then Kyurem would not be the original dragon, but part of it, yet without Kyurem then Zekrom and Reshiram could not combine to be the original one, because Kyurem can already morph with one, Kyurem just needs more power in black and white 3 to combine with both.

@@Justic_ yeah I could see that. The change surprised me, bit I'd like it, even if it is sudden. Not all shinys are smooth afterall, like that one pokemon (which I can't remember the name) the one with arms and a hand for a head. The shiny for that is really popping, for lack of a better word. So I can see the inversion working.

The Tao Trio could also be referenced by "The Three Pure Ones" in Taoism, representing the three essentials of the body: Jing (body), Qi (spirit), and Shen (heart). And in a way, they sort of symbolize it. Kyurem only being a leftover *husk* is the Jing, Zekrom who represents *ideals* is the Shen (cuz ideals or desires r mostly from the heart), and Reshiram who represents *truth* is the Qi (the truth stems from logical thinking)
Uhh, a minor correction, Jing (精) = Essence, Qi (气) = Ki (Energy), Shen (身) = Body.
So the correct assumption would be, Shen = Kyurem. Zekrom would fall in line to Qi instead and Reshiram = Jing.
Because in Chinese Taoism, Qi is more akin to energy in the surroundings and all humans could inherit Qi. But of course Qi is mostly could not be found, because in the end, Qi is more of a philosophical thought. Jing, however could be found, cause all humans have essence.

I always saw Kyurem as not being nothingness, but rather representing balance. This is partly because of it's typing, dragon/ice; ice types are strong against dragon types, but kyurem embodies both these opposing types.

on one hand, i kind of like how we never got to see the complete dragon, it adds a layer of mystery and has an interesting end to the story. but on the other hand, i really hope we have some way to form the full dragon in the possible gen 5 remakes.
Being able to form the complete dragon completely ruins the theme in bw, it's that there is more than just a single correct answer and way to do.things, which is why the dragon split in the first place. Being able to reform the dragon means there was a single correct answer the whole time, just one single point of view. Plus the devs said they never even designed the original dragon so I highly doubt we'll ever see it.
Yeah there is one correct answer that's why the two brothers stop fighting. They realized both truth and ideals are needed. Also Kyreum wants to merge back onto one.

we can roughly tell what the dragon looked like by looking at kyurem, because it's pokedex entry is "This legendary ice Pokémon waits for a hero to fill in the missing parts of its body with truth or ideals." and the missing parts were replaced by ice.

Considering Unova was the first region NOT based on Asia, I think the Western alchemy inspiration is way more interesting and fitting. Plus like you said, the theories are pretty similar in a lot of ways, anyway.
I really love Gen 5 lore... I was really happy to see a lot of connections in X/Y, with the whole ancient castle's garden being devoted to Unovan legendaries and implying N and Z are blood related (c'mon, even their names are similar) but I was sad they didn't expand more on that by maybe telling us more about the two kings and the original dragon.

Btw I just wanna share something: I had read somewhere that yes Reshiram was Yang, Zekrom was Yin and Kyurem was Wushi, and it came with a supposed actual story surrounding the Yin Yang, for there to be harmony specifically the 2 main Dragons needed to get along, Reshiram(Truth) on his side as Yang and Zekrom(Ideals) on his side as Yin, if the 2 were at peace than Kyurem could come and complete it, he would be able to align with them and so transform into his Black and White forms, which would be the little white circle in Yin(black) and the little black circle in Yang(White), however because of Zekrom/Yin/Ideals/Black and Reshiram/Yang/Truth/White constant fight to try to take over the other, Kyurem(Wushi) was left in his weaker form because he need them to get along in order to transform into his 2 more powerful forms and bring balance, so once he had enough he thought "if they are going to keep on fighting, I shall bring an end to everything and then there will be no one left to fight" and that's what Wushi is: the emptiness.

Why are there so many hidden references to Alchemy in pokemon? WHAT IS IT ALL FOR?!
Well, I think it has to do with the fact the Pokemon universe is a world filled with mythical creatures yet it has a great understanding of science, a fusion of science and magic, which is essentially what alchemy was.

Generation 5 is great, but Generation 4, Generation 7 and even Generation 8 ARE A LOT BETTER THAN Generation 5.

I just thought of something insane. What if the move Tri attack originated from this original dragon? Think about it, it's a move that either freezes, burns or paralyzes its opponent, it can only be done by a Pokémon with 3 heads(save for Type: Null/Sylvaly). It just adds up too well.

Plasma the fourth state of matter. The missing link of the three dragons base on matter created by Arceus. I am guessing they might create a new type since there aren't any existing typing that can represent that. I also think that's why"Team Plasma" has it's name.
Regarding the active and passive, I kinda see both Reshiram and Zekrom as forces of change, then both being "active" (they are fire and electricity, both pure energy). The passive one would be Kyurem for me, since he is "ice", the lack of energy/passion. If the three of them were in front of a danger, I see it as Zekrom fighting, Reshiram flying and Kyurem standing.

Maybe in the sequels/remakes Pokémon BLACK VERSION 3 and Pokémon WHITE VERSION 3, we will see the original dragon form of kyurem with 3 heads representing fire, ice and electricity powers and receiving the highest base stat total of all dragon type pokemon. Fun fact:kyurem is in fact the original dragon. Because it is the third legendary and also the leader of the tao trio. And kyurem is also referred by someone as the strongest dragon type pokemon in the world in the movie and due to the fact that kyurem used to be an unified dragon. In it’s original form, kyurem will be a pure dragon type pokemon with an ability that will raise the powers of fire, ice and electric type moves and it will also have the highest base stat totals of all dragon type pokemons.

That was 3 years ago? The End Series was so amazing you made me relive Pokémon in a deeper way after that series. You looked the same to me then I seen you was bigger in this one, I was shook. Crimson Weeb Because Yugioh monster attacks actually matter. One could argue that their current colors already makes them similar to the yugioh dragons because Zekrom is a black dragon with red eyes and Reshiram is a white dragon with blue eyes
You should have also mentioned that Zekrom was electric type, while electrons give a negative charge, while Resheram was a fire type, while fire gives heat energy (vibrating molecules) which is recorded as positive.
There is an additional origin that seems to fit pretty well with Zekrom and Reshiram.

The exact details differ between tellers, but the story basically goes like this: Either the woman who fell from heaven in the Creation story (Who was caught by a turtle, and used dirt to create the land) or her daughter was pregnant with twins. When the two were to be born, Odendonnia (The good mind) wanted to be born normally whereas Ohaa (The bad mind) wanted to leave his mother through her armpit; The two disputed and the result was that they were born but their mother died. Odendonnia ended up turning his mother's body into the sun and the moon, creating light. Ohaa was opposed to this, wanting the world to remain dark. Odendonnia was generous and benevolent, whereas Ohaa was cruel and destructive.
This lines up with the lore, Reshiram and Zekrom were born from the destruction of the Original Dragon, where Kyurem is the leftovers. Said destruction happened because of a dispute between the two sides. The "children" thing also lines up with the alchemical essentials.
the active/passive is even in the stats, reshiram "passive" in its style of battle and its signature moves, is specially focused meaning beam attack and attacks that dont require movement, Zekrom is "active" in its batteling syle and its signature moves, and is focussed on physical attacks, like ramming or swiping and generally running right up to hit them

Also fire and electricity are related to plasma and there’s team Plasma. Also fire and electricity both produce energy. A lack of energy results in slower moving atoms and molecules which results in lower temperatures like Kyurem.
