i look in material models and the circles are purple when i already added a texture in the tool thing. i saved both of my images, switched to layout and it was just grey. :/
I was able to get the pink away but for some reason since I have two objects but both of them are named material and if I try to fix rename them the other parts name changes as well. If I try to texture, it is going to do it on the bottom as well. And they are both the same name however I try to change the name the other one changes again.
This has happened to me twice and had to search a longtime and was very worried. But then I learned it at last. I am sure many of them will find this really useful. Thanks for this :)

Lifesaver, I switched my shader from Evee to Cycles and got really confused since I’m still very new to blender. I just downloaded an 2k HDR, popped it into the world image texture and it fixed it. Thanks.

Hmm.... You say its pink in Cycles, but then looks fine in Eevee? Is it a material that looks pink? You could try just removing the texture from the file, and then re-adding it back in.
If you moved your files to a new computer and scene appeared pink on rendering just do the step @ 2:05 and reload the hdr image you used for the project it fixed my problem thanks for the video.
Hello Mr Ryan. i have a question. 2 months ago, I downloaded a material from Blenderkit. The material was cloth. Now, when I wanted to re-render the same scene, I realized that those parts are black! What is the reason for this problem?
So, My problem is that when making my model I made the head a separate object then joined it to the body. Now when using smart uv unwrapping then making a base color for my model, the body has the base while the head is pink. When this happens my the only thing I know I can do is just remake the entire model. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
I'm working in a new blend file (General), and I only added a Metallic and connected it to Metallic on the Principled BSDF, and it's pink no matter how I change the value. It happened when simply connecting a Diffuse node to the Base Color, and Glossy node to Roughness too in a separate blend file. I haven't moved files or changed folder locations or anything of the sort. What in TARNATION is happening?!
Hmm, I have had other people ask about this problem as well. I think it might be a bug in Blender Eevee or something. Or it might happen if the material is too complex for Eevee to process. I'm not sure exactly. You're using Blender Eevee right? This problem has not happened to me, but I have gotten other people commenting, with the same issue. Maybe you could make a post about it on the Blender Stack Exchange, and add screenshots to the post, and hopefully someone can help you.
@@RyanKingArt I was plugging the Glossy node into the Roughness of the Principled BSDF, and same for Diffuse when it was plugged into the Base Color pin of the Principled node. That's when it was turning pink. When I plugged those Diffuse and Glossy nodes into the Output node instead, they worked. I'm not sure what the problem is either. Thanks for responding.

Hey, so I've been looking around on the internet everywhere to fix my problem for the past 2 hours and I honestly haven't had any luck. I get a purple / pink screen whenever I click environment texture. (I use blender 2.83 I used to use 2.79 and it happens in both versions.) Basically when I click environment texture in the nodes category to put my hdri file in the entire screen becomes this pink color and it shows up when I try to render it too. I'm wondering if you can help me with this problem, I'm losing hope haha

My SSD got f-ked up, nothing can be restored, but luckily I still have the .blend file. Using new SSD, its pink now, how do I restore the texture?

hmm do you have a texture or an hdri in the world lighting? It might be that the world light lost the texture data too.
My problem is that I only get pink faces when the image is rendered. In render view mode is fine. Please help

it also happens if you recovered from temp folder. then it search for images in temp folder. so you have to redirect it
