A ton of this is only being added because people specifically said hey we wanted this or that. I don't doubt at all that they saw it as a finished game and just neglected some features that people really wanted. Who would have realistically thought people would throw such a fit about maps anyway? And they noticed people really liked ship building so they are expanding on it. Notice how there's nothing about outposts here cause the very concept of it isn't really hitting with a lot of people anyway. Everything in this update is a direct result of listening to feedback players had of the game, not some conspiracy to get a game out before it's finished just to add this stuff later. I hear shattered space was scheduled for a lot earlier than this. Almost like there was a lot of unforeseen issues that needed to be addressed which they are and somehow it's all a bad thing. And then because they got to these issues and pushed out shattered space to the fall that will now be used as another excuse to complain. Gaming isn't always as doom and gloom and anti consumer as you people constantly make it out to be.

And yes game was pretty much finished, most of the complaints about the game not "being finished" come from people who still believe there are no mountains or forest biomes in the game because they watched a youtube rant video with the guy running around on a moon aimlessly.
It is not the first Bethesda games that has drivable vehicles. Rage 1 was also originally a Bethesda game, and had good land vehicles. What made it possible? probably using ID Tech 5 game engine instead of the usual Creation Engine? Anyways, it was highly influenced by fallout games as well and you could even find a fallout bobbleheads. It was a post apocalyptic world destroyed by a meteor instead of nuclear war. With bandits, ghouls, mutated giants, a hero that emerges from an underground hibernation system, and an evil faction from remnants of US army called the Authority which is kinda similar to fallout Enclave. But best of all, it had not only just cars but car races as well. You could even mount guns and missile launchers on your cars, and use these weapons for destroying bandit cars. You could even use these car weapons during the races. Overall, I felt it was a faster paced action oriented alternative to Fallout FPS games.
Yeah at least if they let us store stuff inside the vehicle like a companion. And I think you are right it is the embassy but I wasn't 100% sure when I first saw it but thanks for the clarification
I like this so much! Tried these settings on beta myself. Enjoying space combat so much more.. set that you and the enemy deal lowest damge, this way the space combat takes much longer.. And for realism i like to set max damge done to me and the enemy for ground combat. Also really like that you need foor and water. And love how ammo can now have carry weight, and that vendors have like alot of credits with is also realistic.
I dont care what others think i love it just like i do for skyrim and fallout yes its buggy but pretty much most games i have played are no matter what i play on but i dont mind im okay with waiting for it to be fixed

It's too late for you because you're too lazy to play a game like this but for us that continue to explore planets and stuff like that it's never too late. I'm qualified to talk because my whole game was deleted due to a bug they didn't fix until later and I'm just now starting back to play it so now they'll never say it's too late
You never played the game then cuz it takes about a minute at most. What did you do? Find a barren planet and run there while expecting to find something in a planet marked as Barren?

I don’t like aim assist mainly because of GTA skill-less players cannot aim without it!!! you will be travelling at about 150 mph and someone can whip around and one hit you weak and pathetic no skill at all!!!

I really dislike the running around everywhere. I find it exhausting and boring. Do this thing then run around for 15 min.
it takes something between 1 to 3 minutes to reach the nearest POI from your ship. Less if you have good stamina and/or speed boosting chems.
