  • DIY Christmas Tree Collar. Let me guide you on how to build a DIY farmhouse style Christmas tree collar. This wood Christmas tree box will hide your traditional style metal or plastic stand while giving your decorations a farmhouse flare. I use plywood to make this beautiful farmhouse Christmas tree collar. It also helps raise your Christmas tree up off the floor. This is a great project for farmhouse Christmas decor ideas. This is also an easy project to follow on how to make a farmhouse tree collar. Using the tree stand to help hide the ugly metal stand will add a touch of class to your tree. You can use this Christmas tree stand box on artificial or real Christmas trees. Give this easy DIY Christmas Tree Stand project a try.
    I use the Kreg Rip Cut to help break down the plywood. I highly recommend the Rip Cut. It is a great tool that attaches to any circular saw. It makes it easy to make straight cuts up to 24" wide. Check it out here: amzn.to/2Frlcgi
    I used the HomeRight FInishMax to make quick work of the painting. This paint sprayer is a steal at $99. It has saved me so much time painting. It sprays a good even coat and is easy to use and clean up. Check it out: amzn.to/2zcWuuH You can see my review of the FinishMax here: • HomeRight Paint Spraye...

      731 Woodworks have you thought about making a farmhouse coffee table trunk?

      Matt Stone actually had someone ask me to make one yesterday. It’ll likely be January before I am able to do it though.

    Great idea. I built this project myself for our tree this weekend. I actually ripped down a few more 1x pieces to 1/2” thick and picture framed the top. I found it gave it a little more of a finished look. Thanks for the great video!

    Hola! 🖐 I really like this idea. For the past couple of years, we have purchased a "smaller" tree but placed it on top of a crate. The stand is covered with a tree skirt but this may be an option to "change things up" a bit. Thanks for the idea and video on this project. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊

    I built this box 2 seasons ago and several more for friends. Also I realized after building that the shelf inside allows me to buy a 6’ tree for $50 instead of a 7’ tree for $65!!!

      @@731Woodworks awesome, thank you!! Oh yeah...that Delta saw appears to be pretty awesome! Love the hinge setup! Way better and roomier than the slide that most other saws have. I'm cheap and so I just have a Harbor Freight Admiral saw, but it does the job.

    I have someone wanting me to make one of these, so I came to TH-cam and your video was the one I chose! Question about your sprayer. I have a HomeRight sprayer, but mine requires you to thin the paint. I get frustrated at that. Does this model allow you to use straight paint? Also, did you just use regular indoor wall paint for this?

    • @731Woodworks
      @731Woodworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, I’ve never thinned the paint. I use Sherwin Williams Pro Classic. It’s a fairly thick paint
