Update 9-19-22: Take two has made an official statement on the situation to it's investors. "Rockstar Games recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from its systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto. Current Rockstar Games services are unaffected. We have already taken steps to isolate and contain this incident. Work on the game will continue as planned. At this time, Rockstar Games does not anticipate any disruption to its current services nor any long-term effect on its development timelines as a result of this incident."
Unfortunate how Rockstar Games is the one taking the hit. I really hope the hacker gets captured soon or later. Not because of what he leaked, but because of the damage he is responsible for. It's only matter of time until we realise how bad the situation was. Like, what if they are forced to completely start from the beginning because of the source code getting leaked? That would pretty much delay the game release...
@@dragoner3211 They won't have to start from scratch, but hopefully this will make them really work on their security measures this time. Otherwise, now that hackers have the source code, they could find all the security weaknesses in the code and abuse them to insert malicious code and stuff. Basically use the game as a trojan. The good side of this is that GTA VI Online will not be like GTA V Online (hopefully). GTA V Online basically had no security measures. No anticheat, you could use Cheat Engine to max out your money (lmao), peer-to-peer multiplayer (low quality, no dedicated servers), hackers could easily pull your IP address, your Social Club information, they could even crash the server and "blame" you in the eyes of the server for said crash, causing you a potential ban.
@@SLayeR-ud9ji With threats of GTA 5 and 6 source code being released, it definitely wasn't an "of course" moment. Many news sites and game journalists agreed that this could be damaging for the release time frame. Having the devs side tracked patching GTA 5 and 6 due to modders or other malicious parties getting ahold of the code.
@@RbccaFaith look at the leaks, theyre too real to be faked. Even if they were fake, they would have to get a whole team of developers to build the stuff needed for all 90 clips, and to make the voicelines etc.
Hi, professional programmer here. You are vastly overstating the issue with source code being leaked (which isn't entirely confirmed, only partial unverified leak of a very small fraction of code). Developers wouldn't need to change much, if anything, about the game. Maybe some changes to security of online components - but this is actually probably a good thing for the end user, Rockstar has been pretty lax on its online security. The biggest impact this has is only a business one, it devalues potential trade secrets in a sale of intellectual property. Which doesn't seem likely to happen anyway. It won't delay the game, it's just annoying for the people who work there.
I believe this and take two would be losing their shit most definitely though all they care about is the money so I don't see it as a bad thing but I'd rather it not be released either way.
Exactly - I'm no professional developer but I have studied these subjects and learned much about it over the span of the last few years which led me to assume all this stated by the OP is just oversimplification and exaggeration. I don't expect too much harm from this since as far as I am aware, the actual source code has not even leaked or even if it has or does, apart from further legal issues which in the end only the hacker and other related parties may be affected by, not much trouble to the actual game itself apart from some internal trouble which TTI themselves should be having to worry about. Thanks for adding.
@@majking22 for sure. Nobody likes their code being leaked, but it's absolutely not the end of the world. Typically though it's only the business folks that flip out because they see code as their investment and equate leaked code as devaluing their investment. In reality almost nobody who could feasibly use the code to make a commercial product would touch it with a ten foot pole out of fear of being sued.
NGL I’m somewhat glad this happened. It’s karma. They attacked Leslie Benzies, Mike Dailly, modders and their own developers, they abandoned their old single player games leaving them to rot, they abandoned Red Dead Online and they refuse to fix their games infrastructures which is why IPs leak. Something bad has happened to them and now they know how it feels.
but in the end of the day. its we as a consumer/audience are suffering if it cause delay to the actual game, those who already suffer a lot from Rockstar only milking one game for year and nothing new till those time. GTA 6 is the only good thing that gonna happens, but now hope thing will go right for audience in the end.
After all the Greed, mod take downs, lawsuits, lack of security, no support for RDR online and making us wait that long whilst neglecting Single player DLC whilst fully supporting GTA online with greedy tactics. This was well deserved
agreed, it forces R*'s hand to talk about the game and tell the community what they are working on. After nearly 10 years of GTA5 and its shitty online mode
@Taki Sauce Yes, it's the fans' fault. Nobody deserves a "perfect" product just because it's in their interest. These billion dollar companies overwork their employees for our sake because the fans want them to, so that these spoiled brats can get what they want, as if the world worked that way. I don't think cooks should be criticized at restaurants either, you go there to eat their food and if you don't like it then you can leave and if you get sick then it's probably your fault considering everyone else seems to enjoy it just fine. At the end of the day, you think you work hard to make a living? Look at the billion dollar company that works even harder than you do to give you the entertainment that keeps your life worth living. And you expect your money to make things change when you aren't even buying all the shark cards. These games were never made for people like you.
But the possibility is low. Its there but i cannot imagine they would release it unfinished or something like that. They have enough money to get as much time as they want. I am not saying it couldnt happen but it feels unlikely
The fact that Rockstar were either reluctant or couldn’t be arsed to boost security on their servers for GTA V and RDR2 online or didn’t seem to care about hackers and scammers griefing players then getting them banded by dropping loot to trap them
The hack was performed via phishing. It doesn’t matter what security you have because an employee gave away the 2 factor authentication code to the hacker. Unavoidable human error.
@@mirukuteea Good security practices also involve training your population on these types of attacks. So yes, a successful phishing campaign means your security is deficient no matter how you cut it and it is avoidable with a well put together internal awareness campaign.
The "damage" has been done. A lot of people downloaded the footage including me but honestly, it made me more hyped about this game especially after looking at the impressive changes they did. And this might force them to finally come out of their rabbit holes and give us some information
Yeah. I like the footage yeah the graphics looks dated because it's a pre build but yeah it's pretty good. That gives me more excited for the final build.
@@CrispyTripod really? That's interesting I thought it was dated not a bad thing tho. I think for me as a person that lives in Miami my whole life, they did a good job shaping Vice city to near current time line. I hope it's expanded to see other cities

I have grown so much disdain for Rockstar after all these years that even if this delays the game by a whole year, it was worth it just to know how absolutely furious the corporates must be right now. This is a beautiful day. And the videos, I've watched most of them. They're very tame and spoiler free, theres almost nothing interesting to see in there. And there's absolutely nothing in there you couldn't just imagine by yourself with all the rumors.
I mean, the "drive-by" part was very interesting, if you know what I mean. I defo wasn't expecting them to do that. But it's just one game mechanic. What's more interesting to me as a game dev is how intricate the AI (and player-AI interactions) is going to be, just like RDR2. If R* said "GTA VI will be V but made with RDR2's technologies", I'd be perfectly happy - and it seems to be the worst case scenario so far, so I'm perfectly happy.
I remember rockstar sueing people who were only sharing their save files on the internet 😂 They were not even mods Rockstar has literally turned worse than EA They are famous for milking gtao but that is the least bad thing that rockstar has done
Please don't blame Rockstar Games, Take Two Interactive are the ones that you need too blame here since the company has 100% ownership of R*. They're the ones who created this mess by making those decisions, not Rockstar.

Even though this will be detrimental to Rockstar/Taketwo and GTA5/6, you can't deny that they had it coming. Even in your own videos you've shown that before GTA5, Rockstar had a steady stream of games coming out and that the success of GTA Online killed that flow. To not work towards making your best selling games sequel and leaving the community in a huge drought has made people this hungry for any sliver of information. The worst is most likely yet to come if the hacker actually does have the source code to either game, GTA Online will basically die on PC with those tools at the expenditure of modder/cheat creators.
I passionately hate GTA Online like if it were a wife that cheated on me. It took away so much from us. I sense that people's interests are slowly starting to shift back to singleplayer experiences, though. Online will always be a thing, but I'm a bit hopeful for the future of gaming, these past few years have been painful but I think that a resurgence of true singleplayer experiences might be coming. Not that it ever died, but it certainly was neglected for the past decade.
Exactly and we cant forget all the modding community has been put through by rockstar, They dont respect their community at all when it comes to supporting their work. They hired someone to fix loading that wasnt even working for them at the time because they were too careless to fix the loading. They really really had it coming and I dont feel bad for them
exactly and some hacker wants to get famous for doing this i dont know what the big secret in game development is just give us updates but i agree they deserve it
They definitely have not been working on gta6 for 10 years… at the most 4 or 5 years when rdr2 was nearing completion. Rockstar could not work on two major AAA titles at the same time. And if they did, the focus was clearly on rdr2 and gta6 was being worked on slowly in the background and only once production on rdr2 finished they put all hands on deck for gta6, which is more or less the same as the scenario where they only started working after rdr2. I hope rockstar takes their time. Even if it takes another 4 or 5 years. They haven’t announced anything for a reason, because they don’t want to commit to anything too soon. They don’t want gta6 to be like cyberpunk when they announced the game years in advance and had fans waiting to the point where they had to rush it out. You can’t rush art!
What funny is that the contract dlc for online was about Dr Dre not wanting his music leaked out before it was finished and now look at what's going on with real life rockstar. Talk about foreshadowing.
Exactly. Dr. Dre even said in the last mission, “you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.” Once something is leaked out onto the internet, it’s out there forever and any attempt to erase traces of that leak is futile. And here we are. Taketwo is trying to erase the leaks by taking down all videos and evidence of this leak. Which indirectly confirms the leaks are real, because why else would taketwo be reacting like this?
If Rockstar was more transparent and engaged with the community more, this kind of thing probably wouldn’t happen, and if it did it wouldn’t hurt them so much.
if anything this is karma for rockstar for all the BS they have done to the community. How can you feel sorry for a company that puts gta + in a dying online game/stops supporting red dead 2 online/ sues modders for games they dont even support anymore IE Gta san andreas etc. If anything they deserve this.

This concerns me, Rockstar has already let us down by milking GTA 5 online and the horrible GTA remaster now the first big leak out of rockstar games happens? Rockstar is a shell of its former self, I wonder if Dan Houser was still there would this have happened?
I guess the way Dan Houser innovated GTA from GTA II to GTA III which suddenly becoming 3D blow our heads off, then Vice City improved a lot, San Andreas was so much better than Vice City that to this day other games can't reach its level still, and on top of all that GTA IV and its gameplay was improved on so many levels in just 3 years after San Andreas that it felt like a whole new game that's been Innovated(not to mention the DLCs), it's still ahead of its time, pretty much no other game still has reached the physics of IV and games to this day have pre-determined death animations unlike GTA IV and it's realistic Gunplay and animations, and in between of all these amazing GTA games you go RDR, Bully and other great games. Dan Houser spoiled us so much that I doubt even if he himself was in charge could keep up with how ridiculously ambitious he was, guy was a total Perfectionist, now even if Rockstar manages to do better than all other companies they still can't even come close to what they've done before.
3-D games weren't ambitious but converting a topdown experience to 3-D in on world map was ambitious. Even though it doesn't mean to just recycle animation and sounds just to make more than one non-identical game afterwards until GTA IV where everything was overhauled and then reused car models and sounds for GTA V. You call it ambitous but I call it something yesrs before Assassin's Creed made it more ambitious with the 1:1 scale of cities, the Caribbean, Greece, Egypt and wherever Valhalla is based in. I'm hoping to travel across the sands of time in the new Creed game which is set in I believe the Ottoman Empire age of the Middle East most importantly Saudi Arabia or Turkey.
"Bad for us fans" You mean bad like GTA definitive edition? You mean bad like GTA Online security? You mean bad like all the modders that got legal action against them? Oh yeah the fans will totally suffer for this 🤣
All large companies have to contend with being targets for hacks. This just proves their internal security practices need serious work. If anything, the leaks prove the game is on the right track. This is actually a positive for the game and if Rockstar were more forthcoming about the game these wouldn't be as sought after as they are. That's the incentive the hacker probably had to attempt to break into their systems.
the biggest controversy in video game history has just begun… 💀 Rockstar was always extremely careful to protect themselves from any leaks, but now they are screwed… damn a sad day for game history…
Idk. I don't think it's that sad. Or even that big of a deal really. We're still getting that game, and it's still gonna be just as good. It might get pushed back for a few months, but we've waited this long, I don't see it as a major thing to wait a little longer than needed.
In the end they're gonna make GTA 6 and make millions, probaly milk it another decade like GTA 5, who cares I hope all the source code gets leaked so modders can actually do something creative with a Rockstar game for once.
Meh. I don't think it will have such a large impact on current development. Who is really, truly affected by this leak? The PR team of Rockstar/Take2. That's it. The secret is out and we have a legit behind the scenes of how they are developing the game. Which in itself is incredibly unique and just an all around amazing experience for the fans. Current development stopping/delaying because of this leak seems... melodramatic. This isn't a leak in some kind of nuclear reactor or Microsoft software, it's just a game :) Source code getting leaked is also not a big worry IMO. Their trademark/IP is still protected by law, so game studio's can't even use it. This is just guessing at this point, but there's a fair chance entire source codes aren't being shared on slack. Development build perhaps, but I can't imagine the entirety of their source code and all assets are being shared through slack. But honestly it takes one intern to mess this up. On the bright side, mod development gets a head start because of this! and maybe we will see more advanced mods for gta5 as well. Alexander Blade (scripthook dev) is going to have a great day I'm with you that I am no game developer as well. Just speculating and sharing my thoughts.
really don't appreciate all the sensationalizing these you tube channels are causing literally playing off everyone emotions and the type of raised eyebrows everyone has. Oh i cant post a single little piece of the leak or R* might assassinate me. But ill definitely buzz word a sentence together to get the point across. I doubt this will delay the game
Yeah a lot of the coverage I'm seeing of this is really dramaticized. Half-Life 2's source code got stolen and a full build of the game was plopped on the internet, but it still released not a year later. I'm aware the differences of game development then vs now, and how large this game is vs HL2, but that leak was even more devestating proportionate to HL2's size, and all that happened was the higher ups hunting for the hacker tooth and nail, and the devs continuing work as usual.
Tbh, I don't think the situation really is as tragic as you described it. Sure, leaks are never a good thing for companies, but hey, why not improving the security system, then? Still, I actually like the footage so far and, if anything, I'd say these leaks hyped me up even more! I had completely lost hope on this game being released, especially after GTA V was ported for the PS5, so seeing this actually made me happy.
The fact this dude released this leak as 'evidence' for the apparent source code he has for both GTA 5 and GTA 6 and that he has asked Take Two employees to reach out to him directly to 'negotiate a deal' is crazy.
Actually, I feel kind of sad now. I was excited when I first saw the leaks, but the people who were saying that it ruins any future excitement we're going to get from seeing the game for the first time in a trailer make a very good point. These leaks have ruined that for us, and that's sad. Imagine the trailer was going to come out anyways in just a few months, all this did is negatively impact everyone.
If R* and TakeTwo still have any dignity or face this facade is like icing on cake they have received tons of backlashes this is the final nail to the coffin
One of the positive aspects of this situation is that we will have an hour of pre-alpha footage to look back at after the game releases for comparison and analysis. That is very cool because for most AAA games we rarely get even a fraction of this amount of early build footage from any source
Most R* games don't show this amount of early footage, I can literally scroll through weeks of content from other devs on artstation or dev blogs, this is the most backwards uninformed comment in the whole comments section.
@@thundurr Its mainly because of how NDAs are written and used in the games industry, once a game releases, companies usually dont bother releasing much or any behind-the-scenes content because they can't be bothered making sure no contracts are broken in ways that could be problematic for an involved party. It's quite overprotective, so much interesting info gets lost as a result. This issue has existed for quite a long time in the games industry. Indie games and smaller projects usually have far more behind-the-scenes info because they are not tied down by as many contracts usually.
@@YOEL_44 You seem to misunderstand, im talking about we how we rarely see so much raw early build gameplay from AAA games. Cut content, concept art and info is plentiful through many sources for many AAA games, actual early build footage isn't. We literally have an hour of footage and potentially the source code from a pre-alpha build, before the game is even out. For most games, this kind of thing isn't found till much much later whenever some dusty old dev kit leaks out and gets into the hands of a collector
As someone who at this point has not a single bit of "looking foward to it" left for GTA VI and as someone who at the same time honestly hates Rockstar Games and Take2 I say "Deserved for all the sh#t you've been doing to your loyal fans over the years." Hopefully the hacker dude will do some more good work..
I wish i could say i'm sympathetic towards Rockstar, but honestly, i'm not. Years upon years of nothing but middle fingers to their fans and communities, i simply can't feel bad for them. Yes, this can delay the game for years and cost them an ungodly amount of money, i know, but will it actually make a big difference to them? Gta V still sells and makes more money than they know what to do with. It's THE most sold entertainment product in history, yet it's packed full of hackers on PC and it uses a severely outdated security system, to the point that not even your personal information is safe. And that's not even mentioning the potential crunching scandals that were there since the RDR 2 days. So, yeah, don't feel bad or sorry for them one bit.
this comment at 2:51 is so true, one the best best part about R* announcements is that we dont know anything till they announce it and we keep speculating, not knowing and craving info is the best part about R* releases and this feeling has been taken away from us after 9 years of patiently waiting
I'm not a fan of gta 6, I'm waiting and I greatly anticipate the release of this game but I think it's a fair backlash. They've been taking us for consumer idiots for years and messing with the GTA franchise. Honestly I think the events triggered by this Hacker are a good thing and that a GTA 6 with fully decrypted and open source code would be the best thing that could happen to the franchise.
I'm really not surprised this leak happened. When a company makes people wait NINE YEARS for information on a game, they're basically asking for it. People were unsure if we would even get another game in the series before a Rockstar tweet from a few months ago. The hacker could go from one of the most loved people on the internet to most hated very quickly though. As you say, there is a chance this could cause minor or even major delays in the game. The anger online would be to a level never seen before.
imagine putting 9 years of really hard work and thousands of hours into a game only for it to be leaked before it can be properly announced and some youtube commenter says you were asking for it
How can we identify a hacker induced delay and a GTA Online proffit induced delay? It's all the same, you cannot blame him for nothing as the game was already taking forever to come out.

the windows build seen in many of the vids is 1909 which released in Nov 2019 afaik so its probably some time around early to mid 2020 just looking at the windows version
Honestly, I’m kinda happy about it. Rockstar has been giving us GTA fans the middle finger for way to long. Turning the game into a weird unbalanced futuristic mess, making it all about those damn shark cards, having a horrible customer help service, releasing whatever the hell the so called remastered edition is supposed to be, and of course, having an online security system as fantastic as the experience of being blown up by some 13 year old in a flying bike over and over again. I see this as a little “up yours” to rockstar.
It's a shame we had to see it like this. Now that we have an idea of what the game will look like, it's going to remove a lot of impact from when teaser and gameplay trailers are released. Nobody wins in this situation.
I dont think it will remove any excitement from the trailers. Its a prealpha build, from 2019 afaik, so there will be changes to the game by time trailers come out.
If anything I think this could very well speed up the trailer release. There could definitely be worry about the look of the leak and people downplaying the updated version.
Professional you are white knighting for Rockstar Games. Rockstar absolutely deserves to have these videos leaked out. The community has been wanting a new game for years at this point . And as big as a company that Rockstar is to try to keep any information about GTA 6 infomation quiet. Eventually this leak was going to happen. No other publisher/developer hides information from their customers more than Rockstar . And the source code is not aas big of a deal than you think
I don’t see much of an issue, and it’s awesome that this happened. We now know a little more about the game, and know that it does actually exist and is being worked on. As for the source code leaks, that would be even better, we could experience the early versions of the game and it would force R* to improve their lackluster security. This leak is one of the best things that happened to mainstream gaming.
I do think that Rockstar has never been more hated than they have been lately and in that sense, this sort of "seeing something" helps them in the eyes of quite a few impatient gamers, but when it comes to their work, their investor trust and IP, the data leaks and source code leaks could strike a big blow into what they care the most; Their investors trust. Will that cause a lot of turbulence? We don't know, but it very well could and in that sense, it could be that it's far away from a great thing. Had it only been some video footage and if the data and source code and test build leaks are bluffs, then it's not a huge deal imo. However it's also true that many others have said too; It's not like anyone would dare to start developing anything of their own with Rockstar's leaked source code, as they would no doubt be sued so hard their grandchildren would be born a billion dollars in the red.
I dont want to know about that game. It's bad, don't you realize that now they might have to start over from scratch because this was leaked which I don't blame them. I hope thisgame don't come out until another 5 or 6 years. This kinda thing will only delay the game.
I don't get why the leak is a bad thing cause it's still in the works and it looks pretty damn good to me without polishing, of course you won't have the perfect graphics, but everything else looks pretty clean. For the devs it kinda sucks cause it ruined the surprise. But at the end of the day we should be happy that it is in development and that it will be here in like minimum 2 or 3 years maybe!
I remember when rdr2 map was leaked and it was delayed 2-3 times, when it was finished and set for the community everyone loved it and it’s to this day one of the best games to date. @@KahunaLagoona Alot of it is the community too though, people complain about Rockstar not having released anything for 9 years when they released Rdr2 in 2018, sure if Rockstar gave it more support it wouldn't be as bad but people gotta stop disregarding Rdr2 like it isn't a masterpiece of it's time.

Personally. Rockstar and Take Two had it coming with the way they treated and neglected us. I don't care about GTA6 either as they'll screw that up anyway
And if you come to think of it I feel like they leaked it for this exact reason so they can work on it do to the fact they feel like it's gonna be a flop
Wouldn't the devs lower the graphics for the testing of animations and stuff ? I think that the textures would far exceed the leaked ones in final build, as they are also in development. Also it would be upgraded further for PC version which won't run on Ultra for next few years. Seeing Cyberpunk took 2-3 years to go from buggy launch to good game, it would expect similar for this build. Also I think the leaker didnt change the dates on the files, just cleared all metadata and uploaded. So, we do know when they were recorded.
They dont lower them, they just use assets that are easier to use to work on the game and the graphics are at the very end of the to do list. While still developing the story and gameplay it makes little sense to aimlessly creating high quality assets because its always possible major changes can be made. For game development at this stage graphics should be ignored and if you want to guess the state of the game by the leaks then its better to look at the game mechanics you can see and how the engine (character movement, physics behaviour) compares to gta 5 or other games and if i personally compare it to gta5 i think rn it still looks a bit clunky but solid enough to polish out in the end stages of production. People underestimate the gravity of the final development on looks and atmosphere of a game. Lets hope the best for rockstar.
I don't know, man...I don't feel mad about these leaks, maybe because I got my expectations quite low. But I'm actually glad that R* finally made a good posture and walking model for female characters. And some nice butt as welll 😏 But the fact that it will slow down the development and devs will have to overwork because of this frustrates much more 😔
I so godamn hope this doesnt get delayed . We have been waiting so long for gta 6 and i don't know if we can wait any longer . Lets just hope the best outcome for this.
You know? I want to feel bad but for some reason I don’t. I really don’t. This is what Rockstar deserves for milking GTA 5 as long as they could and keeping fans in the shadows because Sharkcards were too important. We are consumers and when you leave us to rot while you put flying bikes, crappy pc servers, three garbage remasters then another GTA 5 release along with letting Red Dead Online starve to death while shoving more types of currency instead of content was the straw that broke the camels back, I don’t feel bad that content was leaked, maybe if you showed a few screenshots? Maybe a teaser? Nah “YOU GET WHAT YOU FCKIN DESERVE” On the other hand this game looks amazing.
The fact people think this is a real leak and not a ploy from take 2 to push excitement is beyond me. Real advertisements aren't what you think anymore.
I'm sorry but after watching the video completely, I think you failed to explain *why* the leak is so bad for Rockstar? After the last tweet, I completely understand the sentimentalism behind seeing a game for the first time being ruined by seeing the dev build, that I understand completely. But why is it so bad that people will have access to the source code? That's literally what FOSS programs are all about, having access to use and modify the game to their pelasure could open a whole new era for open wrold games, when the devs work on a game, and then other developers can use it as a basis to create their own version of the game, an era of freedom of abuse. I truly, truly tried to pay attention to EVERY WORD you said to try and understand why the leak is bad for Rockstar, but I completely failed to see it.
Should we even feel bad for Rockstar? They milked the same game for almost 10 years now, forcing shark cards and other nonsense down our throats without a damn peep about the next installment for years.
Update 9-19-22:
Take two has made an official statement on the situation to it's investors.
"Rockstar Games recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential
information from its systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto. Current Rockstar Games services are unaffected. We
have already taken steps to isolate and contain this incident.
Work on the game will continue as planned. At this time, Rockstar Games does not anticipate any disruption to its current services nor any long-term
effect on its development timelines as a result of this incident."
@Dman [Formerly Chuck's] no it's not.
I mean of course the development timeline for general public will not be affected much, it's not like they've ever announced it anyway.
@@SLayeR-ud9ji With threats of GTA 5 and 6 source code being released, it definitely wasn't an "of course" moment. @@StanbyMode if it were fake, I would probably rather those fakers make a gta 6 than R* run by TTI 😂
"I'm a professional programmer"
Source: trust me bro

It’s karma. @Taki Sauce Exactly, give them actual time to make it so it can be similar to RDR2's masterpiece.

Gta online dying?? That would be the greatest thing to happen. Rockstar is too relaxed
Yall are so fucking needy.

exactly and some hacker wants to get famous for doing this i dont know what the big secret in game development is just give us updates but i agree they deserve it
they don't have to communicate shit if they don't want to. It's better that way. All the devs that communicate constantly churn out garbage
Rockstar is a bag of shit anyway
Maybe because most people were busy buying shark cards.
Rockstar are always way ahead of their time
Rockstar has become the very thing they parody.
It’s funny cause Dre even said how after that he should start to finally release the music he’s been working on for so many years.
If Rockstar was more transparent and engaged with the community more, this kind of thing probably wouldn’t happen, and if it did it wouldn’t hurt them so much.
Remind me, why should I feel sorry for Rockstar and Take Two?

Dan Houser spoiled us so much that I doubt even if he himself was in charge could keep up with how ridiculously ambitious he was, guy was a total Perfectionist, now even if Rockstar manages to do better than all other companies they still can't even come close to what they've done before.
By realistic gunplay, did you mean random unrealistic bullet spray or bullet actually coming out of barrel like in real life?

All large companies have to contend with being targets for hacks. This just proves their internal security practices need serious work. If anything, the leaks prove the game is on the right track. This is actually a positive for the game and if Rockstar were more forthcoming about the game these wouldn't be as sought after as they are. This isn't a leak in some kind of nuclear reactor or Microsoft software, it's just a game :)
Source code getting leaked is also not a big worry IMO. Their trademark/IP is still protected by law, so game studio's can't even use it. This is just guessing at this point, but there's a fair chance entire source codes aren't being shared on slack.

Probably because most AAA games aren't as anticipated as GTA 6
Cut content, concept art and info is plentiful through many sources for many AAA games,
actual early build footage isn't.
We literally have an hour of footage and potentially the source code from a pre-alpha build, before the game is even out.
For most games, this kind of thing isn't found till much much later whenever some dusty old dev kit leaks out and gets into the hands of a collector
Having the Source Code for *any* game leaked is a good thing.
I imagine hackers taking advantage of it and looking for weaknesses but alright bud
As someone who at this point has not a single bit of "looking foward to it" left for GTA VI and as someone who at the same time honestly hates Rockstar Games and Take2 I say "Deserved for all the sh#t you've been doing to your loyal fans over the years."
Hopefully the hacker dude will do some more good work..

Honestly despite the clips ranging from 2019 to 2021 Alpha builds of the game, it still looks more complete than Cyberpunk was at launch LOL
The hacker deserves a purple heart, I hope he gets tons of cash

Imagine being a d-riding & apologistic Rockstar fanboy who defends one of the worst and most greediest companies in gaming. This is the same company that milked GTA 5 for almost a decade, the same company that shoves sharkcards down consumers throats, the same company that killed Red Dead Online, the same company that allowed a garbage mobile studio to handle the GTA Trilogy remasters, the same company that nickles & dimes consumers with awful GTA+ subscriptions, and you actually have the audacity to defend them? Both Rockstar & Take Two get ZERO sympathy from me. Stop d-riding and defending a company that treats its consumers like crap. People like you are a real problem because you give these greedy and crappy developers a pass for all of their awful business practices.......

Higher chances they will scrap the "now" GTA 6 and build a new one
At the same time , it would be hell if the source code got leak
this also happened to half life 2
they dont need to scrap it if the source code gets leaked. i've had a discussion with a few others about it in a discord
ofc no. Jesus
Why would that happen? The source code leaked. So what? It doesn't mean that they have to start again. What a stupid comment.
They can write a new source code, but the game is WAY too far into development to just scrap. No shot they're rebuilding it from the ground up.
Like omniman said " what's 17 more years? I can always play another game"
Based on the graphics seem in the leaks though GTA 6 IS GONNA BE DOPE YALL
Screw R* they deserve it all and more for treating players like they did. I couldn't be happier, the r* I loved is dead to me anyways
I would have felt bad for them, but then I remembered GTA+, and everything else.
i don’t feel even remotely bad for rockstar. they’ve been treating the communities of fans like shit and they don’t even listen/acknowledge anything said by them either. if you ask me, i’m glad it got leaked, it’s deserved karma.
Rockstar deserves it for being such a terrible company.
After the Definitive Edition, I think they deserve it.

Im pretty sure that Dutch was based to rockstar CEO, we just need some more moneh, one last dlc and it never ends
bruh, a company as big as rockstar that uses fokin Slack deserves to have such a thing
Any company as big as Rockstar is using tools like that. Nothing new.
@@SwissMarksman Absolutely not
It's a shame we had to see it like this.
Take Two needs to learn from what they did to Playboi Carti. If you take too long to release shit, your fans will leak it themselves.

i will admit that this was really strange timing for them to release leaked footage of gta 6 on gtav’s ninth anniversary.
a day late, my friend. unless timezones?
If anything I think this could very well speed up the trailer release. There could definitely be worry about the look of the leak and people downplaying the updated version.
Professional you are white knighting for Rockstar Games. Rockstar absolutely deserves to have these videos leaked out. The community has been wanting a new game for years at this point . And as big as a company that Rockstar is to try to keep any information about GTA 6 infomation quiet. Eventually this leak was going to happen. No other publisher/developer hides information from their customers more than Rockstar . And the source code is not aas big of a deal than you think
After all those years this is the first sign of GTA: Vl actually being worked on I've seen.
You’re a idiot the game is gonna be delayed
Dude we all knew since 7 years that this game has been on the works
They literally confirmed it's being worked on a couple of months ago, brainlet.
I dont want to know about that game. It's bad, don't you realize that now they might have to start over from scratch because this was leaked which I don't blame them. I hope thisgame don't come out until another 5 or 6 years. This kinda thing will only delay the game.
Me after seeing GTA6 leaks
"Momma's credit card, imma get that, yeahhh, imma get that"
I don't get why the leak is a bad thing cause it's still in the works and it looks pretty damn good to me without polishing, of course you won't have the perfect graphics, but everything else looks pretty clean. For the devs it kinda sucks cause it ruined the surprise. But at the end of the day we should be happy that it is in development and that it will be here in like minimum 2 or 3 years maybe!
Why should we feel bad for a company that has abused their fans at every chance they got.
how have they abused them? by not releasing a game every 5 nanoseconds and actually taking time to develope a good game?
I remember when rdr2 map was leaked and it was delayed 2-3 times, when it was finished and set for the community everyone loved it and it’s to this day one of the best games to date. I know rockstar will make it work, they have done it previously, let’s hope they can power through and make a masterpiece.
One of the best games to date yet Rockstar is treating it like the red-headed stepchild compared to GTAV. #SaveRedDeadOnline
Just to be clear, yeah, it was delayed, but not because of the leak, but because of regular development setbacks.
There’s a difference between a map and a fucking one hour leak
@@KahunaLagoona Alot of it is the community too though, people complain about Rockstar not having released anything for 9 years when they released Rdr2 in 2018, sure if Rockstar gave it more support it wouldn't be as bad but people gotta stop disregarding Rdr2 like it isn't a masterpiece of it's time.

I was wondering if you wear gonna make a video on this.
I would love to see the entire GTA V source code get leaked. Shark cards ruined everything
yep will push dates back, it's common. besides I stopped caring about GTA since they can't fix 5 and other stuff
some of the videos shows they where using a gtx 1080, if they keep hardware updated to the best at the momment we can asume some clips are from 2016
Always releasing insane videos with great editing. Keep up the nice work!
its just some GTA5 gameplay with some Twitter screenshots overlapped. any kid with Vegas Pro could make this video in 15 minutes.
Oh no, my feelings got robbed! This is super serious! POLICE! HELP! Call 911, there's been a robbery!
I don't know, man...I don't feel mad about these leaks, maybe because I got my expectations quite low. But I'm actually glad that R* finally made a good posture and walking model for female characters. And some nice butt as welll 😏
But the fact that it will slow down the development and devs will have to overwork because of this frustrates much more 😔
I so godamn hope this doesnt get delayed .
Nah “YOU GET WHAT YOU FCKIN DESERVE”
On the other hand this game looks amazing.
I truly, truly tried to pay attention to EVERY WORD you said to try and understand why the leak is bad for Rockstar, but I completely failed to see it.
can’t wait for modders to make this great for online
Should we even feel bad for Rockstar? They milked the same game for almost 10 years now, forcing shark cards and other nonsense down our throats without a damn peep about the next installment for years.
So true
They've used us and spit us out and recycle with new players without conscious so sad 😒
Rockstar sloppy deserve this
If anything, this might force them to rush a trailer release. Because what else could distract from a major GTA 6 leak if not GTA 6 itself?
