That 66 is in incredible shape. I like all the builds but I'd really like to see you finish the blue and white Dodge. Thanks for the great content.

That's a "Hat Saver", invented by my neighbor in Elgin, Texas. His name was Ralph Thompson. He was a farmer and the Morman's cattle supplement representative for our area. What a hoot!!! Your 1966 Cheve has a Hat Saver in it.

Got one in my 2005 Dodge Ram.
I had a 66 C-10 that i used as my class project in the mid 90s when i took Automachanics at the Jr. College . We went thro every part of that truck in class , and i did the cosmetics at home . I got alot of parts from LMC and they worked well . My truck had been painted a nice blue with white bumpers and grill so i put white spoke 15x8 rims with chrome centers and lug nuts with 235/75/15 blk wall tires . I painted the inside blk , put a saddle blanket seat cover that was blue and blk. , and got some OE carpet in blue . That truck sure came together nice , so i really like that 66 your working on !!

That metal thing in the middle of the roof is for hanging up your hat. Usually a cowboy hat.

66 is my favorite Chevy truck I was born in 66 hade one for years wish I never sold it it was all original with the in line six and two speed power glide

That little v8 may only be making 170 to 220 hp, but it sure sounds great. That glass pack exhaust sounds just proper v8!

Here comes the rain in Pennsylvania this morning.
Back in the early 80s after Urban Cowboy came out , here in Texas the cowboy hat holder was in a lot of the pickups .
That's a great running small block and the truck is in wonderful condition you got a great foundation and you can make a alsome truck so keep on keeping on

As it has been said Mike the ole Motor in that Truck sounds really good you say did not expect it to start run and idle it's a CHEVROLET they always run great nothing beats them
I think one video you need to go through and give an update on all the projects hold ups and future builds and such. Love that truck though!
That is a heavy duty one ton it was a either a tow rig or camper special as they called the once upon a time. I am thinking that it was a tow truck with those leaf packs on it. I hope that you have a good morning and great day. Watching the show before I go to work this morning.
The two-tone white over orange in the door jamb looks like it was a U-Haul truck when new.

Love the old truck build 😊 Maybe since you have so much extra exhaust parts make the bed out of exhaust tubing that would look cool aka mad max style . If you want to make wiring easy just mount a toggle switch panel and have it like Nascar and flip them switches 😂

@@weirdbeard8898 absolutely! My dream to have one one day. I tracked down the person that got my grandparents truck, he ended up rebuilding it. Luckily it’s still on the road and doing well. Unfortunately it was supposed to go to me. My spiteful aunt gave it away to ensure I didn’t get it.

Cowboy hat rack. I put one in one of my vehicles back in the early 90’s.
Looks as it was a old u haul with the orange and white in door jamb. And the thing in the cab is for storing a cowboy hat so you do t crush it on head liner

Sweet , I like the winch truck idea or make a wedge car hauler . Going to be an awesome video series , love me some old chevy's . Drove a 63 3/4 ton service truck and 63 5 ton dump truck for work about 40 years ago . Both trucks had the 305 V6 and got the same gas milage . Bad 😅
