This robot in particular will hold some contempt for humans during the robot uprising
Luckily, it will only be able to throw poo.
I saw this pop up as a notification and thought that Dawid finally lost it
You mean Poop up.
Nah, he never had it to lose.
fr tho, i did too!
He lost his shit.
Honestly I was not even suprised
If it fits .... It Shits .... !!! lol
Get yer coat lad, Rwanda awaits for you! 🤣
... and you block the entrance to the other one.
Cat poops in robot...the wonders of the internet.....
Well it's definitely not AI, stepper motor, controller board, and an app.
$500, who are they trying to kid.
It brings a new horror to the notion of 'logging on'.
@@user-yv2cz8oj1k imagine, the competition the "Litter Robot 4" sells for an insane 899€ xD
@@user-yv2cz8oj1k Robot litter boxes are a bit more complex than that, at least the good ones. There are many sensors and some have a fair amount of "computing" going on (for example the competitor Litter Robot can tell between multiple cats just using its various sensors so that you can track how often each of your fluffy companions use the toilet, which is actually handy to track their health, and you have access to all the relevant info as well as maintenance monitoring via an app and the Litter Robot itself can connect to your WiFi, some people have even integrated it in their smart home setup using Home Assistant for example).
At the end of the day most people don't *need* an automated litter box but it can be a nice luxury if you can afford it, with some potentially handy health tracking benefits in some cases, and it also can solve the issue of normally needing as many litter boxes as cats, if not n+1, which isn't always practical if you live in an apartment or smaller house between the required space and the potential smell. And as these robotic litter boxes are constantly kept clean you normally only need one even if you have two or more cats.
@@Jacky-94 Yeah the Litter Robot models seem to have gone up in price with every generation, although according to reviews I've seen they've also improved every time and offer more and more features (for example afaik WiFi connectivity is now no longer an optional add-on but comes by default and there's an app which not only allows you to easily monitor if any maintenance is needed but it can for example also identify which of your cats is using it and track how often each of them use the toilet which is actually handy to track their health). The Litter Robot pricing also seems to be less steep in the US so unfortunately it seems it's one of these cases where European customers get a worse deal because of things like import taxes and lower supply. But the Litter Robot models usually seem to be some of the most popular and best reviewed options. The company also seemed to be in favor of the right to repair and unless it has changed they were selling spare parts, including for internal parts, on their site (although it's unclear if EU customers would also have easy access to the spare parts without having to jump through hoops and pay expensive shipping and import charges).
But yeah at the end of the day it's more of a luxury product, with some potentially handy health tracking benefits in some cases, and it can also solve the issue of normally needing as many litter boxes as cats, if not n+1, which isn't always practical if you live in an apartment or smaller house between the required space and the potential smell (and since these robotic litter boxes are always kept clean you should only need one even if you have more than one cat).
There are actual litter liners available near the cat food. Wider and shallow.
dawid does tech stuff to dawid does cat stuff.
Davvid does sus stuff
Dawid does poop stuff
This is tech.
Ah yes hanging out in the toilet as a general recreation
this is the type of content i live for
I think Neko’s new ride needs to get nicely pimped out.
Racing stripes and some tasteful RGB to set the tone
pimp it out with waifu stickers

Just more proof that all of humankind's progress and achievements are just meant to make the lives of cats better
that cat is so cute
A cat being named Neko...
Reminds me of an old comic in NZ where a cat is named Horse and the main character, which is a dog named Dog.
you should really make some more of those "reviewing random tech crap videos", similar to this.
at the end of the day 90% of dawid's quality comes from dawid himself so i agree
It's still my favourite video of his, I'd love it to be a semi-regular thing at the least
Beautiful looking cat!
Gotta love how the primary character trait of cat is being cat batman
Neko is a beautiful cat. I would have subscribed just for him, but your content is a decent bonus at times 😉
2:32 Looks like the Namek Spaceship from DBZ lol
This is - by far - the most bananas video I've seen Dawid do. Many, many LOLs.
That's a pretty nice cat right there. Looks like it takes a pet like no problem.
That is some serious cat content
This just sounds like a company that farms data as a source of income, and the stupid product is ancillary income.
I will absolutely return any product that asks for precise location where it's clearly unnecessary.
But it is clearly necessary.
This thing is presumably setup using Bluetooth. Accessing Bluetooth communication is grouped under the location permission because it, in conjunction with WiFi and potentially GPS, can be used to refine tracking or enable proximity tracking.
So the permission is legit, but the product is still dumb
@@Mooooov0815 why would it need proximity tracking when it can accomplish the same goals with a scale?
@@DracossaintBecause you need to connect to it via Bluetooth. It's not actually using proximity, it's using a feature that COULD be used for proximity, so it's restricted in the same way.
The neokasa logo looks a lot like the arasaka one, which could explain it
@@hyperturbotechnomike IT DOES LOL
Hey man,
I've watched tech channels for as long as I can remember, probably high school lol, am 27 now.
Having watched the old school tech tubers go from being one-two man shows to being actual companies or corporations and all the change that that brings, i'm kinda burned out from the Marqueses and Linuses of the space and find a lot of comfort in your channel because it's well produced, you can tell you produce what you want and not necessarily what fattens your bank account the most and it's just diverse enough to remain fun and interesting while not going off the tracks and not interesting me. So I just wanted to say thanks because the technical quality is top notch and your videos are interesting, chill and genuine.
Big hug from Costa Rica.
The immaturity in this video is delightful 😂
Companies keep adding wifi to things that do not need wifi so they can take your information and sell it.
the location thing is because on android you need the location permission to use bluetooth because is locked behind as bluetooth might be able to be used to find your location.
500 canadian drahmi for cat litter!? Holly crap!
One Man Five Cats has an informative video about his experience with automatic litterboxes
I was hoping you were gonna try to game on it.
haha he should have!
There definitely needs to be more poop dungeons in Dawid videos!
The tech review I didnt know I needed! Thanks Dawid!!
When your cat's crapper has more features than your own ... you may have a problem. 😂
(As an fyi, my two cats Mr. Jake and Lt. Nog, use old school boxes, as I can't afford the fancy $500+ ones.)
I spent 0€ on a itter box, because the cats go outside to dump their fluids and wastes.
Hopefully supervised.
@@OjStudios I try not to watch them 💩. They in the other paw, love to sit and poopervise me.
🤣
@@hyperturbotechnomike my cats are indoor cats. On the 18th floor. No balcony. So, they're stuck with boxes.
@@I_am_Allan My sister has two cats and one is weird like he needs to be checked on how good of a boyo he is dropping the turd.
Forcing robots to watch cats poop is my kind of dystopian future.
How is this so entertaining?! Can't stop watching the tech cat poop device contraption thingee. Damn you Dawid
Yes, he named his cat, cat.
If I had a nickel for every time i've seen someone do this, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
My grandpa has Alzheimer's and calls their cat "Cack" probably because he doesn't remember it's name. The little guy actually responds to "Cack" instead of his real name, Simba.
I've known a few guys named Guy in my life, a few cats named Cat, but no dogs named Dog...
Neko-Chan specifically, which is little cat. So presumably there was a larger cat.
You'd have three nickels (if you came to my house)
Maybe 3, I named my cat "Big cat" (for the lack of augmentatives in english, that will be Gatote in Spanish)
Not sure why I did it but its kind of funny since he isn't a big cat
That cat knows that it is a poor constructed cheap pc built cat toilet and decide im going back to the same one 😂.
Also, as a cat owner always introduce gradually the cat with a new litter product like you introducing an old pc with new one
It might just take some time to adjust but can't help but think it would have been smoother if the cat was sanctioned in another room during setup and only let him in after setting it up with litter and blocking the old one. That time where he got familiar with it and sat in it empty he probably thought it was a new sleeping/resting area which could have also lead to his confusion after of both doing his business in it and also using it as a resting area. Little awkward!
Yeah robo cat poo bins are mostly stupidly expensive for what they do.
Is it weird that Im pooping while watching a cat poop in a robot? POOPCEPTION!
you need a medal

This made my day.. Thanks David.
This is the type of quality content I subscribe for
My favorite takes are the ones where even Dawid can't keep it together and giggles gleefully before cutting lmao
Dawid's Cat Does Tech Stuff! Spin off series?
1:53 "Oh it's big...unh...UHHHHH"
Not calling your cat’s poop Neko Wafers is a real swing and a miss.
He’s a STAR!!!
The tracking can be useful to keep on top of some health issues. If your cat is using the litter box much more or much less than usual, it can be indicative of some health problems, like kidney stones or so.
And it needs location data to do that why?
@@claycassin8437 I never said that it did, just that the tracking can have some use. I don't know why it asks for location.
@@claycassin8437 I never said that it did, just that the tracking feature can be useful. I don't know why it asks for location.
I actually really appreciate this video. I have litter robots, which are great, but aren’t the best for large cats. This might be the solution.
You're wrong Dawid, that's my cat now.
I'm good. My cat uses a normal box. I don't have any problems cleaning her poop daily and the box every 2-3 weeks.
thats a gorgeous cat you got there ^^
Would be worth testing out with the nicer litters (we use the grass seed version) because having to swap back to dust central is a no-go for this sorta thing, despite auto cleaning litterbot being a nice idea.
Thanks for the tip!
This, this is peak entertainment
These are actually really nice if you can cat to use it... Expensive but nice 🐈
This was so different but still enticing.
i wonder if you could make stairs for it like the litter robot iirc has, to make it more accessible to smaller or older/less agile cats.
a house cat can easily jump 2-3 meter straight up, so 30 cm?= it is nothing lol
I've got 2 similar ones to that except on mine you have to pull a handle like an old fruit machine, but you just win poop.
Never thought i'd wanna win poop 😂
My grandmother had two cats that were siblings. When someone asked what one cat's name was, she'd reply "Cat." When asked what the other cat was named, she'd say "Other Cat." This confused people and pleased her greatly. If we didn't have three cats, I'd really be interested, but investing $1500 in cat poopers is too much
Cats don't share cat poopers?
@@KaijuAKDThey do.
we have a different version of an electronic litter box. works exactly the same way though, it's got a barrel that rotates to sift and dump the used litter into a bag as well. we have 3 cats and it's essential. my kids take turns emptying it when it's full, the cats are happy cause it's always clean, and all the smell is kept behind a trap door, it's much better than a standard box for sure.
I keep showing my cat the clip from Meet the Fockers where the cat uses the toilet and even flushes, no sign of taking it up yet. Best cat gadget we got was an electronic cat flap that reads the chip so only our cat can use it .
What a beautiful cat 😍
I read the title and saw thumbnail and I'm like 'not watching that' saw that it was from Dawid, 'oh this is gonna be good'
I will say I’ve spent the $700 on litter robot and even with just two cat I will NEVER go back to a normal litter box. The simplicity of not having to scoop poop is great and it tells me when it’s full. I recommend a litter robot of any sorts to anyone I know with a cat
Dawid, you remind me so much of a non-German version of the titular character from Gerhard Reinke's Wanderlust that it's filling the void left in my heart from its absence.
Made an outdoor enclosure, never looked back.
For $500 your better off spending the extra $100 for the litter robot
We've been using Cat Genie for around 7 years now. They dispose to sewer drain like washing machine.
We have a Litter Robot 4. Works great 90% time. The issue is our cat seems to like to pee near the edge of the bowl rather than towards the middle of the litter pile. Due to the curvature of the bowl, there isn’t enough litter to clump properly so it ends up sticking to the bowl requiring a manual cycle/intervention. Annoying but everything else works great. No issues with his craps.
There's a cat? There's my like! 😍
That machine would freak my cat out, lol.
Great video, I laughed a lot at the end between the swearing censorship and the insults to the viewers!
I have the omega paw litter box, they go from $30-$50 usd, it's manual but you just roll it and the solids collect in a drawer, I takes me less than a minute every day and I don't have to worry about it breaking, highly recommend it
Best title to a TH-cam video I've read in my whole life 😂🤣
Had one of these hightech literboxes for a while, but ended up ditching it for the Pet safe scoop free crystal liter boxes. The litterbox itself is under $150, and even though you are locked into the Brand's refill trays, the difference in mess, smell and frequency of cleanup has been well worth it.
500 dollars? i would teach the cat to use the actual toilet, if you can get an auto flusher for it you never have to mess with litter again
Just have to deal with cat shit on the rim every now and then…
Except it's actually not good for them to use the human toilet ergonomically.
Forget the robo loo, I just love Neko's antics.
Love that Dawid did all the cool tech stuff - but when it came to moving the used cat kitter it was Anna
pretty kitty
even my cat Leo perches on the edge of the litterbox. Neco is not alone
Precise location data is often needed for bluetooth/wifi I believe.
Dawid knows how to give proper tribute to the true master.
I've wanted an automatic litter box for a while... But either you pay 600 bucks for a giant eyesore that needs to be deep cleaned every week (and has proprietary trash bags!), or you pay 200 for a tiny box that still needs to be unclogged daily. So... The $15 plastic sifting tray my cat shits in will do just fine for now.
Anxiously awaiting poop dungeon upgrade video.
Precise location can be needed simply to join the product to wifi, android and iOS restrict access to wifi to precise location.
Neko is tiny compared to my cats. Getting them to use it sometimes means scooping a bit of poop or litter from the old box into the new litter box.
He is so beautiful!!!
10/10 video got me dying laughing
who doesn't love tech videos of cats
Dog owners? 😂
I am astonished that it actually worked and that the cat just accepted it with ... medium effort. But I am also very happy that our litterbox at home is only there for emergencies since our cat much much MUCH prefers to poop in the wilderness around our home ^^
Leave it to Dawid to make a video about a litterbox interesting.
so cute
We need more kitty in videos. He is so cute!😃
I personally prefer the option that my grandmother's cat took, which was to just use the human toilet, but this thing doesn't seem too bad.
That's a very handsome kitty
I was like if its 200$ I'll get it. 500 on sale nah bra.
I feel like this isnt the weirdest thing well be seeing ;)
It looks like an ultra home printer or electronic chair for my pet chinchilla 😂, love your vids👍, if the tower 100 is still around would love to see a Frankie or nice quick build
To be honest, I was not expecting this to go as well as it did. Lol.
I love it when Dawid just sits there waiting for Neko to poop😂
Should see if you can block that apps location data after its installed and set up
