Wow! If these are priced correctly you have the opportunity to kick Europe's backside as most of the current crop of EV's are way too expensive for most of us. Both look great and the interior of the SUV looks fantastic.

I'm hoping they will have some kind of upgrade option so that if I buy the current Marvel R, I can pay extra to get the battery upgraded to the 150 kWh...fingers crossed!

Really looking forward to begin see more of MG's on the roads here in Denmark. And I must say, the best news in this video was the new OS design, the old one looked soo outdated compared to competitors, so really nice to see the new modern OS looks really stunning on that big center screen, but also in the info cluster.
I was thinking about a eZS but I still think that there are to few electric chargers in Denmark.Hope this changes over the next few years.

I thought the 5 was already out, but with a more conventional nose design? Or is this a replacement for the current model... which only arrived last year (if I remember correctly)?
@@macjim Yes you are right in your supposition, the version of the M5 EV estate car shown in the video is a facelifted model from the one currently sold in the UK. It would be interesting to find out if/when the facelifted model shall be available in the UK.
The problem with the existing model is the rear seats don’t fold flat...not nearly..I wouldn’t hold out much hope that the new model would improve on that but would be great if it does have truly fold flat seats... for a car touted as being practical as it’s main selling point that’s a must have in my view.
Someone that commented on another video of the current model said that the cushion of the rear seat can be removed and the seat backs then fold flat. Too much hassle for normal use of course but interesting all the same.

Let’s hope that UK is still considered part of Europe for MG (if not part of the EU). UK needs these cars, and EV version of the MG 3. MG have a real opportunity to change the way people buy and own cars.

I asked MG UK a few days ago about the E-Motion and they said there were no current plans to release it in the UK.
Disappointing after all the hype.
Rumour has it they've changed it from the concept version so it no longer looks so good anyway.

You may want to consider opening a store in Romania. Here, the state helps with 9000 € the purchase of any electric car, plus a scrap premium for the old car, worth 1500 €. A "discount" for every new electric car owner in total 10500 €. I think there is no other country that suport so much for an electric vehicle.

I would very much like MG to bring out a small car, like the Mini, or maybe even a 2 seater sports car.
I think there's an MG3 EV on the way, and the E-Motion concept eventually for the 2 seater sports car.
As a mg zs driver very happy agree mx5/ mr2 2 seater would create a lot of interest and bring buyers in to the showrooms a mini / 500 small ev style would do the same hatchback

Lovely cars. Shame the new ones aren't coming to the UK this year. My daughter is going to get an MG this year but feels that the existing ZS EV isn't enough range. 400Km range would be great on the new models
Mrs Mkali's ZSEV does about 250km tops, but, it was only £22k brand new for the top spec Exclusive. The FB forums say the updated car this year will give a better range.

The original MG5 80s Passat lookalike will make a great taxi. The face lifted model does look much nicer and 100% more modern looking.

Still loving my ZS EV over 1 year since I got it....I just wish we in Europe/UK had got as good an infotainment system with app etc like they got in Thailand/India etc....we definitely got a lesser product here.
The only reason Europe and the Uk don’t have those are european/uk regulations regarding data.. MG need to setup server in Europe to hold european data for those feature to work, the only way business wise MG will setup a server in europe is if they sell enough MG there to justify it.
These are looking amazing, please MG please consider adding a preheat function. Had my Leaf for over 4 years now and it would be so hard to go back to a freezing cold car and clearing snow in winter. It makes a huge difference being able to warm my car up from bed in the mornings

Where it comes from it is a Roewe so it is just re-badged for export.

I like SUVs, but this one is a bit too large for 2 people. Hopefully there will come a smaller version soon. But if I have to choose between the MG and the new Ioniq 5, I would take the Hyundai because it´s super fast charging and nicer interior. But if I have to choose between the MG and the VW ID4, I would take the MG. Looks good, long warranty and good materials.

Some idea of price would be useful. When can we expect the Cyberster?
If MG can keep pushing EV prices down I think it will do very well. Currently the MG ZS EV is the cheapest EV in Australia and its sales figures are accordingly high, for a good product that has enough range and acceleration to satisfy most driving situations but not break the bank. But still, it's expensive compared to petrol versions. That needs to change so that everyone can afford an EV, not just the rich.

I'm so gutted this isn't coming to the UK 😔
The designs look really good. it's hard to make a tall looking car where it doesn't look out of place that the engine grill is missing - but still looking streamlined. Think MG have cracked it. The estate one looks a lot better than the current MG5 which is only a little over a year old! And 400km / 270miles = real world ranges >200 miles in all weather. That's going to be impressive, London-to-Manchester range on 1 charge with more to spare. Sure to come in at under the £35k electric vehicle tax grant - especially given their current ones start at £22k and £24500 for the current estate. So think this will be huge!

They learned their lesson, the new Mg5 is far more beautiful than the vintage monstrosity they sell now.
The best looking cars they are selling at the moment would be the ZST and the HS

Using MG HS PHEV very impressive and I eager for Mavel R.

Disappointed that MG still hasn't got an app yet in Europe, while regions like Thailand do have a nice app.
It's more then a year now and I think its kind of basic equipment for EV's if you look at the competition.
Anyway, can't wait to hear more details about the MG Marvel R and MG 5.

Looks like an interesting choice between the Marvel R and Kia EV6 for the lease this autumn then. Looking forward to more details on range and pricing in April.

Is the MG e motion still in the pipeline? And is the new MG5 a new car or just a face lifted 4 year old Rowie like the current car that’s available in the uk, the MG’s released in China have a much better design such as the new MG5 which looks really smart in sedan form can’t help feeling MG are missing an opportunity not releasing these ‘new’ cars in Europe and the UK.

All is good apart from the placement of big tablet in a most bizarre place. It just don't make sense and can have safety concerns as it is distraction to driver specially at night.
Any news or updates at all for the rollout and pricing of the MG5 in EU/Norway? So little info. It is almost September and it is supposed to sell from October.

Hmmm concerned reading about / watched a few videos on MG ZS rusting at weld seams on a 1 year old car
Return to dealer and they should apply anti rust coating, under warranty.

Marvel looks nice, could be a winner if the price is keen. Technologically superior to many of the Euro-Boxes in terms of charge and range. Towing at 500kg on the 5 and 750kg on the Marvel is not, I'm afraid, a feature, most modern caravans require 3 times that so only good enough for a tiny trailer. Good luck with the launch -

The HK "No 8" number plate (reg) is legally registered to me and it is own on my name. Hopefully it can be picked by MG and use it to help the advertising for MG at HK one day...!!! 👍 All the best of luck...!!! 👍
