Dear *Split Builds* - had had same problems on my Chevy M1009, my solution, carrying of = Metal-Sheet-OEM, so I put - in addition, a - second - sheet, same size + dimension, over the Original, = here I did slit's into = . for final - as I did drill screws. into slits. Finally someone actually posts how they went about putting in seats instead of just showing what the end result looks like. Thanks for showing. I am planning on doing the same but trying to figure out how to do the driver's seat. I have the original driver's base, the one with the spring mesh which is nothing like the one you have. It looks like Cobratek offers an adapater plate for it.
Thanks brother! I had an m998 with that seat base and welded a rectangle bracket to make the entire seat bottom the same height out of some 1 1/4” x3ft steel. Then bolted the seat to base and the bracket. I wish I had a pic but I don’t. It can be done however you won’t be able to slide back and fourth or raise up and down. I would try to find the base out of one like mine m1123.

Thanks man! I got them on eBay. Just type in Humvee seatbelts, and get some new ones I think they were about 50 bucks for the fronts and 50 for the rear
I just got the same seats and my question is I removed the support bar behind the driver seat I have a 2000 humvee m1045a2 was that a terrible idea or I’m I gonna be ok ? Btw your awesome you’ve always answered all my questions thank you brother
Oh that support bar is definitely need for structure but you could fab up or have someone fab up a crossmember bar to give the same strength. You’ll be fine. Nothing is ever messed up to bad to fix
The windshield should be here by the end of the week, it shouldn’t interfere that gasket is pretty thick rubber. It worked fine on the other Humvee’s that I built.
Loving the builds including the new one you’re stripping down. Question, I have a humvee coming soon and wanting 3pt seatbelt kit like you have. Which kit did you get and where can I order? Thanks brotha 💪

Thanks, Split Builds for your reply! My insurance broker tried everywhere and was able to insure my 2002 Humvee with Allstate. In case this info would be helpful for someone. Allstate insured it as AM General Hummer, this way they were able to plug in and use the short VIN number. Around $500 for 6 mo for 20/30 coverage with some discounts applied
I’ve built 2 others in the past and sold them, so I could sell one. I really want to keep this one. I wish it wasn’t such a long process to get a hold of one...

No, it fits straight, maybe the seat wasn’t latched all the way

Great job , have you installed the windshield or tried to fit it yet , just wondering if the spray liner interferes with seal and glass install.

Just the stock m1123 base that comes with the truck.

Not really any leg room lost. I’m 6’1 and sit front or the back just fine.

I had to use Grundy if it’s less than 25 years old. Or you can use Hagerty if it’s more than 25 years old
