Very good👍👍 FYI: The correct nomenclature for the "Mushroom" as you call it is: "Cap, rain." The Dust Extractor boot on the bottom of the Aircleaner Housing is good up to 30" depths. in fact using the Dust Extractor will actually help keep the airfilter element cleaner. Have you figured what the purpose of the 3rd (center) large screwband clamp in the airfilter housing is for???🤫
@@theinspiredjourney OK, but you are NOT going to believe why! That center screwband clamp is there to reduce harmonic vibrations typical from Diesel engines, The HMMWV’s air filter housing is made of thin aluminum (for lightweight) that is only “soldered” together. The harmonic vibrations can cause the soldered joints to crack thereby allowing contaminants inside the air filter! See, I told you, you wouldn’t believe it!
@@theinspiredjourney Please consider letting me know when you get around to tackling the full DWF installation; there are certain components that are installed on the assembly line that virtually no one knows about outside of AM General.
Are you going to install the dwf cdr valve and the valve switch that goes inside the cab? I’ve done just about everything except this valve switch in the cab. They cut mine completely out during demil. Trying to figure out how to hook all the hoses up. There’s just hardly any space behind my generator to be able to get a good look back there.
Hey Megan, yes! My plan is to go over the entire system and yes that is including the installation of the CDR valve, lever (valve switch inside the cab), the plastic "sensor" box underneath, and all hoses so the system could function. There is not a lot of DWF installation info out there but we will work on it soon so it would help others :)
Thank you mike! Yes, I was planning to install rock sliders panels but couldn't find anything that looked good on the Humvee and without drilling. I was thinking to just go with the simple rock sliders panels and possibly to paint them the military camo to match the Humvee.. Not sure %100 yet.
I unfortunately don't have a list of parts, it was very hard for me to find out information about what components are needed. The SteelSoldiers forum was one of the best resources for me so I would start there :)

Thank you Jim! Thank you for the info. Not sure about the center clamp.. enlighten me :)

So cool! I did not know that. Definitely a fun fact!!!

Absolutely Jim! Looking forward for that! Send us a private message on Instagram so we can connect!
She’s a keeper
You bet! :) Thank you for watching!

Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Pretty cool! Are you planning to do anything for rock sliders panels? Seems like they all require drilling body, which sucks.

@@theinspiredjourney yeah not too many rockslider options for the humvee. No where to bolt them. New holes have to be made.
Yep :(

Unfortunately have not finished the conversion yet, but videos will come out once we do :) thanks for watching
What’s the part number of the air filter rubber cap?
Hey,
I believe the rubber cap under the air filter drum is - 5340011972382.
Hope it helps. Thanks for watching! :)
Would you be willing to send me a list of parts/kit so I could do the same. Please

Ok thanks anyway 😕
