If this happens only every once and a while, its most likely not a bit issue. If it happens often, you may need to replace the charger or battery most likely
I see... It does happen often these days... And this laptop is new. It still charge when plugged. Maybe the battery is busted. Although.. speaking of charger, it comes with 2 type. Light (c-type 100w) and heavy (normal 220w). Maybe its because i constantly use the heavy one? Anyway thanks for responding
@@DannyDonny-xl4pe Good luck !! Also, try to not always have the computer plugged in. Batteries need to regularly charge and discharge to stay healthy. Always being charged damages batteries over time.
After 3 months from buying my Asus Rog Flow, I was worried something had happened. Completely dead. 1 minute power button trick saved it. Never knew laptops do that. Thank you! 😊
I've owned a G512LV-ES74 (Asus Rog Strix G15, 2020) for 3 years, and I recently opened up my laptop to clean the fans. After disconnecting the battery connector and fan connectors, cleaning the fans, and putting everything back, my laptop will not turn on. I've done it before (sometime in 2022), but this time, there is no signs of life at all. Charging indicator does not light up when plugged, rgb lights won't turn on, nothing. I don't know how to remove the battery (only disconnect the connector), so I haven't tried that method you mentioned. I'm thinking I did something wrong (maybe forgot to plug something or something else) but I don't know, as I've doubled checked and remember plugging in everything I unplugged. There was no update beforehand, no spills, no overheating, etc. It worked completely normal last night. Could a battery or charger really die all of a sudden in the morning when the previous night it was completely fine?
In order to perform the power drain test, you only need to disconnect the battery from the motherboard. As long as its disconnected, plastically removing it is not needed :) If the computer worked before I enter it but does not work after, my first assumption is that I left something disconnected or loose. Does this help review all the connections? th-cam.com/video/GLHCXWc1gbo/w-d-xo.html
Tis morning my laptop cant turn on. I did was hold the on button few min and keep restart few time and now was hopefully great to go. Thank for the video.
Hi, Thank you for your help. I have an Asus X543U Laptop with a non-removable battery. I have established that it is not the charger as I have tested the charger on other Asus Laptops(charger worked), and have tested their chargers on my laptop(still no power). I, unfortunately, do not have the correct size screwdriver to remove the panel to test if removing the internal battery would help.

hey bud, how's it goin'... I'm having no power issue with TUF a17 2021.... Last time it was turned off there was a cellphone charging, and a wacom pen display was connected via hdmi ( hdmi plugs into radeon and not the rtx 3070 graphics ) I believe this combo produced the issue... anyways I tried removing the adapter , removing the battery, cleaing static charge... nadda... then a couple days later I did the same and it powered up and turned on just on battery... another issue appeared... when the laptop is closed and not turned off and you open the lid, sometimes it is impossible to enter pass.... this is how it booted this last time... i did a restart trough win...same thing couldn't input pass.. the I did a shutdown, and again no power issue... When I connect the charger the battery light is white = 100%.... I also tried removing RAM didnt help... Only thing I can think off is going to my friends garage and use the multimeter tool to measure the charge on ac adapter and on battery.... If you have any other suggestion ; I would appreciate it.... by the way this model doesnt have a coin cell battery to clear CMOS (spoke with ASUS).. have a good one....

Hey! I have an ASUS ROG flow x16, model GV601V1-cs94. The other night it was working, then the next morning it wouldn’t turn on. When I’d plug it in the keys and power button would occasionally turn on, but after 2-3 seconds it would turn off. There may have been an update that went thru overnight, but I’m not 100% sure. I tried the options that were possible without opening the bottom (internal battery). Do you have any advice? I may possibly be able to get to the battery, but if I have to send it to ASUS I wouldn’t want them to charge me for tampering. Thank you so much for your help!
I am able to access the battery if needed, I’m not sure how strict ASUS is with me opening it if I have to send it to them though. If I try the battery reset and it doesn’t work, do you know if ASUS would still take it? Thank you again!
Have you been able to solve it? I’ve got a ROG STRIX SCAR 17 from 2022, and nothing works. I’m so scared cause I don’t want to open it and face an issue if I have to send it to ASUS.
Can you help me, mine only the battery icon lights up but It won't turn on. I've tried all the steps and replacing the charger but nothing. only the battery icon

So, if my laptop is plugged in and I try holding down the power button for 30 seconds, it doesn't start up, but if I unplug the power cord (charger) and then press the button for 30 seconds, my laptop will turn on, but is slow to start up. This just started happening after almost a year of no problems. You're saying that we need to deenergize the internal components, which is understandable, but not sure why this would affect startup. This is the first laptop I've ever owned with this problem. My spouse has owned an Asus laptop for 5 years and his has never had this problem. It seems to me that either the charger, internal battery or internal power switching module is the culprit, but most likely in my case it's the charger.
1. If the computer will only turn on after removing the charger, then I would try replacing the charger. 2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@PC_Monkey I think I will get a new charger. The problem gets worse the longer the charger is plugged in, but it seems like there's something else going on, too, because now it takes several attempts pressing the power button to get the laptop to start up. I'm taking it in for repair and will see what they say.
1. The computer was running well before entering it? 2. If my computer works well before entering it and does not work after, my first assumption would be that I either damaged something or left something loose. I would go back in and make sure all connections are secure.
@@daisy_cat96 I would go back in and make sure all connections are secure. Can you find a disassembly video that shows all the connections that need to be made so you can check them?
Hey! Thanks for the video! Mine's a bit specific but I have an Asus TUF FOR FX516PC from 2021. I bought a new NVMe after the original from the PC died twice, and after installing it, it wouldn't turn on anymore. The laptop has a power led that also doesn't turn on no matter what, even though if I plug in a powerbank it will still get drained by the computer. Only two steps I couldn't do are the RAM and the CMOS battery, since the RAM is soldered and I couldn't find the CMOS battery!
If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I have the same issue with my TUG gaming laptop, that I bought brand-new 2 years ago, I encountered my first blue screen in less than a week using it, and now it won't even turn on, it could take me 600 attempts to power up and work, and as long it's on it's fine but once it shuts down I cannot turn it back on... i really feel screwed buy this laptop ASUS is just a huge scam apparently!!

dude at first I was doubtful of most of the comments saying the first trick worked but it worked for me! my issue was with an Asus zenbook, screen being black but power led and battery led were on. Thank you for the helpful tips

Thank you so much after doing what you suggested my computer turned on

my is can turn it only when I plug the charger in and now won't turn on even charging so is my charger bad or my battery
Sounds like your on the correct video. Have you tried the steps seen here?
Also, did anything happen before this issue started? Liquid spill, overheating, a Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey my knee give to someone to get fix it and when she get it back I let her take take it a part I don’t see the hard drive in sight but it’s still can run right
The first tip of 1 minute power really helped! Thought this thing was a goner. Its Asus tuf A15, and usually the power button isnt responsive. But then it stopped responding at all. Thats when i searched for solution and find this video. Should i be worried and take it to a service center?
Always being charged damages batteries over time.
thank you so much !! first step worked for me

You can see examples of screwdriver sets for computer repair here if you wish to get the correct size: www.amazon.com/shop/pcmonkey/list/2QAI8XMVWC7DK?tag=onamzpcmonkey-20&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d

So I accidentally spilt some lemonade last night, I cleaned it off and it was working fine, it’s morning now and I’ve been trying to charge it, and it’s not charging or working. I’m using a asus laptop, and the orange battery light is present when charging, but goes away when I’m not

hey bud, how's it goin'...

Does this help access the battery? th-cam.com/video/cDf907-7zJI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for this

Can you help me, mine only the battery icon lights up but It won't turn on. I've tried all the steps and replacing the charger but nothing. only the battery icon
If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; th-cam.com/video/YBhsVHideGE/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/HpabvrNaodU/w-d-xo.html. You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement.

Hi sir o have asus k55vm after disassembly for fan cleaning and thermal paste the laptop its not turning on can you help me ? Pls pls 🥺😢
1. The computer was running well before entering it?
2. If my computer works well before entering it and does not work after, my first assumption would be that I either damaged something or left something loose. I would go back in and make sure all connections are secure.
@@PC_Monkeyyes its running well before disassembly and you scaring me with damaged part i think i am dead now my parents will kill me 😢😢
@@daisy_cat96 I would go back in and make sure all connections are secure.
I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; th-cam.com/video/YBhsVHideGE/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/HpabvrNaodU/w-d-xo.html. @@PC_Monkey Thank you for your answer! I think I'll have to take them to a repair shop to be sure, since the charger and power cable are working!
@@astroflowershop6469 Good luck !! Let me know how it goes :)
