He sure is ; my Affie girl is smart as a whip. She loves to play fetch with the ball and brings it right back . Wouldn’t have any other breed ! My first one lived to be 16 1/2😊

Well, I don't think yiy'd get an Afghan if competition obedience is your hobby, but they are very intelligent & you just have to find a way to motivate them. they are not stupid. I put a CD on an Afghan almost 50 years ago.

Afghan Hounds Lie. They are very intelligent, when it comes to be CRAFTY , in how to steal. or get what they want, and not do what they do not really care to do.. WORK. unless it is FUN, Kind of like an orangutan. The White Afghan Hound in "Crufts 2024" competition showed the hound was REALLY enjoying the act. with the tail constantly wagging. Ours lived until she was 17 almost 18. She was a great mother to a kitten. Sadly I did not have a camera All items were stolen while we were out.
