As soon as the video ended I hit the thumbs-up and ran down to the workshop to look through my stock of component sets to see if I have any with pop-out caps. Found three! Guess what I'll be doing tonight? 😁

    Great video!
Ever since I added this step to my pens, they've been flying out the door.
And not a single return, because (wait for it)

Love your stuff. Notice you keep the tool rest high and point the tool down. Is that only on acrylics? Regardless, why? P.S. just took delivery of one of your verticle cast systems.

Thank You, I always have the tool rest highly enough that the tool edge is above center of the work piece. The high positioned camera facing a downward angle along with me trying not to block the shot with my hands might make it appear like I’m cutting downwards but it wasn’t as bad as it appeared. I usually approach the work level or slightly up at it. Acrylics can cut differently from each other. Play around with it and your tools to see what works best for you. This blank was made from urethane resin (Alumilite white) and it cuts very smoothly and easily with very little chipping. It’s my favorite to turn.
