      @adamdodgshon638 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@370JDUB I get the fact that they’ll never play a 2-hour show that pleases everyone. Of course. But it would be great if they varied the songs from their 80s and 90s albums more. They seem to think they have to play this song and Just Can’t Get Enough because of the fan reaction. But Blasphemous Rumours or Shake The Disease or Leave In Silence or New Life would bring the house down. When they brought Everything Counts back for the Spirit tour, and kept it in the set for this tour, the reaction was just immense. They’ve so many great old tracks I think fans would love them to mix it up.

    One of the most fire guitar riffs of the late80s/early 90's, and probably the best song to kind f wrap up the new wave movement and while they have a boatload of awesome tracks, to me this is the defining song for one o the low key best bands of the mid 80s/early 90s. Their live shows are always off the chain.

    I think this is a recent performance... Founding Depeche Mode member Andrew Fletcher (samples/ keys) recently passed away and he's not on the stage. 'Personal Jesus' has been used in movies, TV and commercials frequently... 🔥
    Depeche Mode is definitely one of the premiere pop bands from the 80's... their more energetic synth-pop songs - 'People are people'... 'A question of time'... 'Never let me down again'... 'Everything counts' ⚡🔥

      @@marioibarra7886 I’ve been a huge fan for 30+ yrs, but there’s always been something to keep me from making the trip (typically to Dallas) to see them. This time I decided I was going-no matter what! I was disappointed when they released the dates of their limited tour right at first, w/San Antonio being the closest, and although I figured they’d come back and add more dates (including Dallas), I wasn’t willing to chance it. I know realistically I can’t also go see them in Dallas Oct 1 as well, but I wish!
      Btw, I heard from a couple of girls who flew up from Honduras for the San Antonio show, so a 9 hr drive from here seems like nothing! Personally I’d love to travel to see them in Europe, especially Berlin! The European audiences are typically more involved and into it, not stuck behind their phones the whole time taking video.

      "Always" is a strong statement. I'd tell people to check out Metallica's Enter Sandman from the 1991 Moscow concert before the studio version. Hell, I can't listen to the studio version - it just isn't nearly as powerful. Rammstein - Du Hast Paris might be another one that I'd say to check out first/if you listen to the Studio version.

    • @cadleo
      @cadleo ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@zoegartham312 The only reason you know that those performances are better is because you listened to the studio first and had something to compare it too. Always do the studio first.

      @zoegartham312 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cadleo Not true, at least not for Enter Sandman. I'd heard Du Hast elsewhere before, though not really listened to it. But Enter Sandman I hadn't heard at all until I got into Metallica a few years back, and so my first exposure to the song was the live concert. I tried to listen to the studio version later to see if the lyrics were a bit clearer, but it just lacked the sheer energy that the 1991 Moscow concert had, and I couldn't even bring myself to listen to it fully.

    • @cadleo
      @cadleo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zoegartham312 You literally just agreed with my point, a point that is axiomatically true. You cannot compare anything with anything else without experiencing them both.
      This is a react channel, in most cases there will be only one vid for each song. To start with a live or cover version makes no sense, regardless if the live version or cover is better. It does make sense to do that cover or live version in another video though, if its better, and then a comparison can be made.

The drummer Deantoni Parks is amazing, he played drums for The Mars Volta on tour in 2006 and then on their 2012 album and tours around that time. Very innovative and I can share another video where he shines playing with Omar's solo group.

    You should listen to some of The National. Start with Fake Empire or Mistaken for Strangers. You’re a man of taste so you’ll love it!

    They NEVER had a UK number 1, due to the fact in the 80's and 90's they had massive competition for many massive UK act's like Queen, David Bowie, Elton John acts of that quality so many to mention.

    Shoulda done the studio version or one of the many remixes.
