    I've been doing this everyday for two weeks and I have two things to say:
    1. This stretching routine feels absolutely AMAZING. I do this before going to bed and it's the best thing ever, my body is so relaxed, it's great.
    2. I'm seeing HUGE improvements in my flexibility. I've always been pretty flexible but I've never got to that point, even when I took dance class as a kid.
    Thank you so much for this video, it's a great routine and even though I'm no figure skater I'll keep doing it for a long time!!!

    I want to start taking figure skating lessons starting next year october (im 17 and sadly i cant afford it before then) and I've decided to at least get my body in some kind of shape until then. I've been following this for 2 weeks everyday, and this routine has done wonders for my flexibility. I've progressed a lot in my splits even though i do not stretch specifically for them!! This is an amazing routine and I'm really thankful for this.

      @@Syrancelle yes!! i cant go regularly because of multiple reasons but i still try my best. i have my waltz jump, toe loop, salchow and loop so far :) im trying to improve my spins and skating skills as well.
      stretching and making my body much more flexible has been a huge help for the things figure skating requires like spirals

    After 3 years I've crushed the ice today. And it felt amazing as always. But my 37 years old body told me afterwards " You're not freakin' 18 anymore " Your exercises completed my day. Thx and best greetings from Iceland 🇮🇸🤘🏽

    I don’t even figure skate but I’ve been doing these exercises for 3 months now. I started off so stiff I couldn’t even reach past my knees, now I can almost put my hands on the floor😆 Thank you!

    Update: Almost died
    Day 7: Now I’m wondering how I said that😭 I can see so much progress as I can lift my legs higher and also touch my toes

    Hello💕 everyone so I will hopefully try and remember to log my progress at least weekly maybe daily. Some background info about my flexibility (not flexible 😭) but, I am about 9in off the ground for my Right splits and 10in off the ground for my Left split, can't do middle splits (AT ALL) my spirals are slightly above a 90 degree angle, i can touch my toes with out bending my knees, and when i try to touch my nose to my knees i'm 3 inches away from touching. Btw I also recommend if your rlly trying to get your splits/higher spirals do a couple of stretches added to this (it will help). ANYWAYS here it goes (Good luck!): 💕
    WEEK 1, DAY 1 - slightly sore my splits are same height off the ground and overall flexibility is the same, I am trying to stay motivated!💕
    WEEK 1, DAY 2 - I'm stiffer. Like a lot stiffer but I know that this is the DOMS(Delayed onset muscle soreness) stage of stretching should be over this in a few days :D
    WEEK 1, DAY 3 - I actually don't feel so stiff anymore and back to being able to stretch farther down. a lot of the stretches i could go slightly more down and when i went in to splits at the end i definitely saw i went farther down on both legs
    WEEK 1,DAY 5 - forgot to log this day but i am at about 7.5 inch off the floor on my right leg and on my left leg i am 8.5 inch off the ground actually is going rlly good im feeling more flexible everyday and my spirals are getting a lot better
    WEEK 2, DAY 2 - i feel and am A LOT MORE FLEXIBLE i still will have to measure how many inches i am off the ground at this point but i'm getting rlly close to my full splits and my spirals are improving A LOT they are not only getting higher but stronger and i am able to hold them for longer and up more I LOVE this stretching routine it's finally something that works rlly well for me and as i count inure to stretch every day i'm feeling happier and happier with my progress 💕

    I'e done this 4 times until now and I am seeing a lot of improvement! A few days ago, I couldn't even touch my toes, now I am soo close to doing the splits!! Tysmmmm❤

    I didn’t know it was humanly possible to “go deeper”. Whenever I heard that sound parts of my soul got chipped away lol. At one point I swear my ham strings wanted to snap 😂

      lol. sorry about the ads! I just realized videos over 8 minutes automatically adds ads in the. middle (my videos are usually shorter than this) so I will turn them off!

    Dear Mary, I'm so glad I found this tutorial. It ensured me, that I'm doing my stretching right, I do half of those moves as my daily routine and for sure I will add the other half of your trainig to mine as well. I'm doing these exercises for two months now and my almost 40 yrs old body gets better and better. And it has a positive impact on my mood as well 😉 No matter how good or bad we are in skating, to do something for yourself is simply perfect 👍

    Thank you for this exercise! I am 14 and lost my flexibility after quitting ballet at 9. It is proving a bit hard for me to recover it as I progress in figure skating. Will update on how this works for me!

    Ik im late but my career / dream is to be a figure skater, so i know that i need to be more flexible for it. I can skate and glide well but I cant do any tricks on it as im simply: NOT. FLEXIBLE. ENOUGH. TO. DO. THEM. I also cant lift one foot of the ice 😅. So im gonna do this routine although I am quite late to it :D. Im just using this my melody rug as a carpet. Wish me luck :D

    hello! i'm just getting into ice skating (to be more specific, i want to do figure skating but i'm just focusing on learning how to generally skate for now haha). i'm very stiff and it effects my ability to skate properly. i was wondering if i should do these stretches daily? i was also wondering if i should stretch after i'm done skating??

      one time everyday should be fine

    How often would you suggest stretching for someone that’s preparing to do lessons? I’m a few weeks away from lessons as an adult and I’m trying to condition my body because I’ve let myself go stiff and be unenergetic

    nice video for stretching routine, but too bad the ads kept popping up and i had to keep interrupting the stretch to get rid of the ads. I know monetizing videos are so important, but I wouldn't do it in the middle of the video because it will take too much value away from the fitness activity.
