Thank you very much Mary for your videos. My daughter uses them a lot and it is very helpful. You are my daughters favorite online coach for practising!
It's been two and a half years since I was last on the ice, back when I was a competitive figure skater. I remember hating my off-ice sessions. This reminded me why. All jokes aside though, I love this video.
Im 13 years old and i live in brazil and i would really like to be a national champion but i literally never skated in my life and i started so late.. It's too late :( a lost dream
Well probably national champion is a "lost dream" but the skate is a dream, just skate and have a lot of fun and don't worry, you have many years to do it, don't pressure yourself
It's never too late to surprise someone. Passion and effort, you need both: practice as much as you can and do not give up. 13 definitely isn't too late to start, you can still be amazing! I started at 16 and I'm not much older now but I've made so much progress already 😂❤
It's not too late! I'm 14 and just started skating less than a month ago, I'm already starting on my spins! you should follow sofiafigureskates, she started at 15 and in two years became a competitive figure skater! you can do it
When I started a beginner's course in ice skating, my feet and hips started to hurt a lot. I was also wobbling a lot when on one skate. My instructor said my feet are weak and I should do exercises off the ice to strengthen my feet and legs. Thank you for showing these exercises.
Thanks coach Mary. All your teaching is much⛸💃 appreciated. I'm not trying to win any Championship. I used to skate in the I.S.I.A when I was much younger. I skate now just 4 fun. Gotta to keep the heart❤ pumping and the blood circulating. Just got to say you are truly amazing. We didn't have opportunities to learn like this when I was younger. The best visual we had when we weren't on the ice was📚 library books😮 Thanks for all your time it's like private lessons on TH-cam.👏👏👊 PS my name is Mary also MJM 🎉⛸💃⚘ I'm so glad I found your channel I smashed👊👍 that like button and subscribed❤⛸
Hi Coach Mary! How long should each movement be performed on each side(or how many reps per side)? Thanks so much for this program, I’m 47 and am struggling a great deal to get my one foot glide! I’m hoping this is a good starting point 😊

when you say to contract the leg for stabilization, do you mean look the knee or tighten the musckes? Thanks!
dont lock the knee.
Haha, decided to do the sigle leg squat and proceeded to hear every joint from the hips down crack in afew seconds😅
lots of air popping in the joints! haha nothing wrong with that, it's normal!
how long do i need to stay on each movement?
Super❤
