@Riley Chilmark yeah don't get me wrong a lot of people would love that, even those who wouldn't buy this expensive set in the first place. This figure is very nice
I think this set should have had 2 dark troopers and maybe 1 stormtrooper. I would argue anymore than 2 dark troopers would be unexpected in a bigger set of this scale. I'm fine with waiting for this to go on sale or discount it's not worth the full price, the build is solid minifigure selection is good but a few inaccuracies that could have been easily change especially for the price your paying is very high another dark trooper and possibly Luke would have made it more understandable. And you could buy the Luke X-wing set to recreate the scene with grogu if you wanted and they included that version of Luke in this set. My problem is sets like this only a few years ago would have cost around £120 I would like a cruiser for my collection but not for this price.
I remember running out to get the Trouble on Tatooine set for a cheap way to get beskar Mando, now they have beskar Mando in every set. It's a deterrent to buying more sets because I don't want to end up with 30 beskar Mandos, so I'll just bricklink the new figures.
I’m not worried about having yet another version of the same print for mando because it’s appropriate to the scene and there’s not really much they can do to change the character, it’s the same issue with many other characters like Rey who have very few costume changes throughout their appearances that it’s worthless for them to change it. I totally understand wanting to just buy the figures though as the set is expensive anyway.
I think you're the first reviewer to point out that the designers combined the different ship designs. Tbh I'm not too sad about it being more like a normal Arquitens than Gideon's cruiser. Not accurate to the scenes depicted but can be used in more scenarios. Also it seems weird that they printed the back of the Dark Trooper's head but couldn't do Din's face.
@@skinnyj123 I guess maybe they wanted it to have a black neck but even then they could have just used a black head with a solid patch of red print on the front.
@@mfknbumblebee plus we all knew what the actor looked like before the show started (game of thrones) so there was a high chance it would of been his face.
I've been having internal debates since this set was leaked about if it was more Arquitens or Moff cruiser. To me it looks more like an Arquitens than the Moffs cruiser, which i think they will run into issues if/when they want to release a regular old Arquitens class ship because they already have one but with extra features. But they don't pay me for my opinion
I agree about the lack of additional Dark Troopers. I personally think they should have dropped Cara Dune and added one more Dark Trooper, at least. And Mando should really have face printing now. His identity is no longer a mystery. And one of the most pivotal scenes of that last episode was him finally showing Grogu his face. And we can't recreate that. So come on with that already, Lego. I really love the overall look of the ship, and like you said, it's sturdy as hell. I have yet to knock any pieces off mine, even after a few days of handling it. But I think it should have had a bit more interior space. I know space is at a premium on this thing so I don't know how they could have handled this, but it really should have had baby Grogu's prison cell where he was knocking around Stormtroopers, and the little bit of hallway where Mando had his duel with the single Dark Trooper. They're both pretty small spaces so they probably could have fit them in somewhere. I'm very 'meh' on the inclusion of the micro TIE Fighters. The little TIE launcher at the front does nothing for me. I think they could have dropped them completely, BUT, if they really had to insist on keeping them, maybe also include a micro-scale Slave 1 and Lambda-class shuttle as well? Could be done for minimal parts and cost I'm sure, and then at least you could make a nice little diorama of their initial invasion of Gideon's ship. I dunno, just some random thoughts to improve this set. I still like it overall, it's a nice addition to my Imperial navy.
That Darksaber is such a disgrace... At this point they should've made something special for it, but I'd even be satisfied if they just used a black katana, instead of the 2002-style saber they've got.
ok so when they do it like that in a clone wars set its ok but when they do it for a love action show set its a disgrace like dude its how they've been doing it for years also a black katana really you know how out of universe that would look in a star wars set like really
@@icy101yt I never said it was okay for the Clone Wars set. It should've been a special mold from the get-go, but the first LEGO Darksaber is more understandable since it came out in 2012. Not excusable, perhaps not even fully understandable (but hey, it's LEGO we're talking about), but more understandable than doing the exact same thing nearly a decade later. The fact that they've been doing so for years is exactly why they should've finally given us an updated design. Btw, a black katana wouldn't look as out of place as you think. The early vibroblades were basically katana, and even Clone Wars-era and later vibroblades have a similar design, just look at the Kage Warriors. They're essentially wielding lightning-infused shōtō. And I didn't say they should've simply used a black katana as their updated Darksaber, I said that in lieu of the new mold we should've gotten by now I'd prefer a katana to represent the saber over the baton they've been using for all these years.
@@icy101yt his point wasn't about the mandalorian or the clone wars it was that in 2021 using the same exact black lightsaber blade to create the dark saber is mediocre. Given its importance it deserves a molded piece
By the way, I personally would have been happy if Lego used the keytana mold from Ninjago for the darksaber, it would have been still unaccurate, but would have been more intriguing, as well as more exclusive, and the best of all, not as lazy
I always find it really funny hearing you talk about the accuracy of star wars ships because you are clearly such a big fan. You always say you aren't too worried about comic accuracy and such with the superhero stuff so it just amuses me.
I think one thing to keep in mind about the poor scaling- they probably did it in order to keep the bridge as close to the center of mass as possible, by any means necessary
I honestly like the bridge but the big cannons on the front annoy me because they tried to fit spring shooters into them and I have never once seen a child use the spring shooters
@Blake Larson my little brother just takes them out of the sets and uses them as weapons or blaster effects never once has he even put them in a set when the instructions say to
@@skinnyj123 im not sure why, but they just dont bother me too much. i completely understand why they should, but it just doesnt bother me with the look. cant explain it
I feel like the back of the face might have been printed to show how the darktrooper looks whenits ‘turned off,’ because everything about that design screams to me that LEGO knew that they were droids. Also feel like the cruiser looking like a arquiten-class cruiser is not a problem. The set is named ‘imperial light cruiser’ instead of moff gideon’s light cruiser, so i feel like they made a arquiten so it could be used in multiple scenarios. But as always, good critisisms and a good review. Love the content as always Jang!
FINALLY! Someone who actually points out parts of the model that should or shouldn’t be there. The number of times I’ve heard people say things like “The engines are accurate” or the thing with the tie fighter storage, has just frustrated the heck out of me.
It's a really good set, and I don't know what the process behind it was, but I agree with all of Jang's points, especially the lacking interior, comparing this set to the similar style first order Star Destroyer that came out a few years ago, it completely pales in comparison, the First order one had three big rooms and even a mini throne chair for snoke on the top, and all of those rooms seemed important to have In this one all we get is a decent space with just a table with a mug on it, no Grogu prison and no Dark Trooper charging station... The episode for this scene came out so long ago, it's hard to believe this happened due to misinformation... But at least these compromises to the interior resulted in a pretty good exterior, although the inside is what I was most excited about AND YEP, MORE DARK TROOPERS PLEASE
The episode only came out 8 months ago, this set was probably in its final stages of design by then. Sets like this are often designed 2 years in advance.
They definitely should have done something special for the dark saber and Din Djarin should have a face print by now; Hopefully he’ll have one in the Mando season 3 wave. Overall though this set looks awesome!!!
Nice review as always - very bad handling on the rear for sure, especially considering the cost. It feels to me like a $129.99 USD value at best. No Luke was a misstep and at least 1 more trooper. I also believe we might see a battlepack including Luke and three troopers or something similar.
Can't wait to get this. I don't mind when sets have some small inaccuracies bc I like to modify and perfect them so this will give me extra hours of fun with the engines and turrets.
Mando not having a face, having the set be as expensive as it is and only having one Dark trooper, not including Bo in this set, or maybe the other Mandalorian at least, I forget her name and then trying to include that small interior only really dampers this set. it could have and should have been so much better. the structure looks good but man did they just find a way to drop the ball, it almost feels like they intentionally shot themselves in the foot. The Darksaber is laughable as well. It should at LEAST be transparent, dual molding a normal kitana would have fit the idea too effortlessly as well. I don't see the issue with doing that
I think they should have included the other mandalorian instead of Bo because she appears in another set this wave. I guess Lego just didn’t want to make another new design for the mandalorian helmet. Though they certainly should have included 2 dark troopers. There are indeed a couple of issues with this set which bear in mind had been in development before the final episode of season 2 had aired so I can forgive them for the things like the engines or the cannons. However I’m almost certain that this set will still sell well because of a few exclusive characters.
Great video as always Jang!💜 I hope they make a playset of the interior of this ship with [special guest star big spoilers], the elevator, and a Bunch of Dark Troopers standing outside a big door leading to the room with everyone else. Best thing about this set imo is Fennec, I hope we get another version that comes with her hair!
One of my favorite things that Jang does is explain the more technical side of the ships that these are based on, like a breif history, or its technical name like 546 and Arquitens.
i really want one i don’t have a larger ship like this obviously next to a figure it’s quite small but i just love the idea of that big open area with all the detail and the small tie fighters being somewhat size scale(to the ship) is so cool to me
Nice to hear what you think about this set. You confirmed a lot of my initial feelings from just seeing the official photos of the set. It should come with at least two more dark troopers and another interior area or two - maybe a cell for Grogu and the dark trooper room. I would love to see both of those and a little hallway but that's probably asking for too much. I feel like there are tons of Lego sets that don't come with enough low level bad guys. Oh well.
I love it! I think minor detail fallacies happen a lot in the translation of “hey here’s a SW ship design just make it in lego” A perfect example would be the first Kylo Ren‘s shuttle we got. It just wasn’t screen accurate but remedied in the second iteration.
Agree with your assessment on all fronts! More should have been included and it's perplexing that the design of the ship is so "off". Hopefully, as you state, we'll see a battle pack with more Dark Troopers in the future...
@@callumpears1523 they could easily mod it with holes in the sides. I just think the contours on it work a lot better than the current mando helmet that’s been used for years
You can get Lego-ish technic pins in a wider choice of colours for about 3¢ each on AliExpress. Lego is trying to differentiate different pins & axles using different colours for each type. They don't do that with bricks or tiles, so I wish they'd just make them in appropriate colours.
I personally feel that this model is too tall, especially seeing it in a realistic setting. With large evil ships like this in star wars I feel that their flatness is an essential quality that is missing here. In addition, the price is simply too high. $160 is absurd when ships of this size were $120 only a few years ago. The figure selection is also pitiful. There should have been more dark troopers as well as the officer that was always reporting to Moff Gideon.
@Blake Larson Malevolence, Republic Frigate, Jabba's Palace & Sail Barge, Republic Gunship (the last play scale one), and the most recent play scale star destroyer was only $130. No matter how you slice it this is overpriced, especially becau6of all the design flaws. If this were the same size but had better minifigs and proportions, then it would be worth it, but as is, no.
The thing I love about the Arquitens is that is a mini Star destroyer, it's big, well armed (for its size) and has a fairly decent hangar capacity. I personally think it looks better than the star destroyer and if given the choice, I'd fly this instead of an ISD
Funny you mention the Lambda shuttle landing in the TIE launch tube because Lambda shuttles are much larger than TIEs, but I believe there is a scene in Rebels where a Sentinel class landing craft docks between the mandibles of the Rebels version of the Arquitens Command Cruiser, the wings stay folded down and extend quite a bit passed the edges and really only the fuselage of the ship even fits between the mandibles, much less a TIE launch tube actually in the ship.
The blue technic pins in the front cutout for the tie launcher were likely intentional. In the show, there are blue lights along the inside there, and some speculate that it's basically a rail-gun type launcher. Ideally, they would have added more material in the cutout with blue pieces attached. However, to save cost, this is at least an attempt to account for those.
Good review! Jang, I'd have liked for you to show how /where/how many figures could stand or sit in the ship's interior. At least have 2 figs attached to some studs in the floor, maybe? Also: this set should have had at LEAST 2 Dark Trooper robots. The episode shows a squad of them, or 2. 1 figure seems wrong at such a high price point.
It would be an amazing value at even $119.99 but $159.99 is just not a great price when you factor in one small room inside the cruiser to play around in and just (one) dark trooper. By comparison the last two star destroyers had an awesome interiors and both had 2 stormtroopers in their minifigure lineup. I can’t understand why only one was included and its definitely put me off on buying it at full price. Even a new printed face and torso for a Mandalorian Luke Skywalker would’ve sold me.
-I think the current no-shading, flat graphic design style worked in disfavor of Moff Gideon's chest plate. It just looks so flat compared to, say, the old Snowtrooper and battle dressed officer armor which had a similar design. -The TIE launching play feature reminds me of a tiny old aircraft carrier toy that I had, which could launch a super small (like 1cm in length) carrier jets with its catapult... and now that I think about it, it was done better
I‘m not that dissappointed with the darksaber, because I expected them to do it like that. But I think they should have used a gun metal grey colored hilt for it. great review as alwasy Jang!
I just got the new silver Beskar mando and I love making sets better, especially the figures. I made the mandalorian have a little backpack with a stud on it with a vertical 1 by 1 clip on the back for his rifle and I put a Cassian Andor head on and I used the same hair piece and it looks spot on
I've just finished building it, and i like it alot. However those turrets are just way to big, so i modified them by removing the spring-loaded shooters and some other parts. Then i made it look much smaller and better in my opinion. Other than that it's a great set, and it looks great next to the ucs isd.
I kind of dislike these multi scale ships in general. But at least this is a new ship rather than another star destroyer. But what a waste, considering this is set of the season 2 finale. You'd think they could have put more features in. also a micro slave one and lambda shuttle included. would complement or even justify all these tie fighters. Should have had a prisoner cell, and the full complement of three or four dark troopers. Because they are the looming threat the whole time on board. All the inaccuracys Jang is pointing out, along with the lackluster play features make this a easy pass for me.
I think the 4L bar is the right part for the dark saber, especially in terms of consistency for other lightsabers. So the only thing they could have done was to pick a different colour, maybe trans-black? Black is fine too though, so I wouldn't complain too much about that.
I agree. We needed a new darksaber piece, ATLEAST one more Dark Trooper, and I think Din should have had a face print. A lot of the inconsistencies with the ship itself don't bother me much.
Great video Jang, I’d like to get this set, but at what it’s priced at I don’t think I can. I am also annoyed we only got one death trooper in the set as well and it actually really pisses me off that they made so many errors with the ship. Lego or Disney need to pick up their act and start giving us the products we all want.
I really like the set. However I think it's one I think I am going to have to mod a bit. I'm going to take off the launchers from the turrets and make the turrets slimmer and smaller, but I am going to use 2 of the launchers instead of the plunger to launch tie fighters from the front. I got a technic piece in mind that can link the two launchers together as a trigger. That's going to be funny to see if it works. I think you might see some exploding TIE Fighters...that's canon :D. As for the Dark Troopers. I think a battle pack is on the cards. The best outcome for this giving the usual format Lego do now in battle packs is you'll get 2 dark troopers. But you could get a Scout trooper on a scout bike and one of those Stormtrooper flame throwers. That would be awesome. Another alternative could be 2 dark troopers, a mortar stormtrooper and a trooper with an E-Web.
I'm ok with the black head for Din in general, but in this scene its kinda important. We've gotten to a point where him taking off his helmet is significant enough in the show that it should be included as an option. Especially with over 10 other helmeted characters in this wave getting new face prints. Also, the imperial version of this ship appeared repeatedly in Rebels, so like the Darksaber, it has had some appearance before lego started designing this.
All i can think about when i see this is how the entire time you built this we were just talking about how a dark trooper battle pass would end up with one random piece of a dark trooper and like 5 officers
The imperial ship should have more imperial figures, but not sure who to remove from the rebels. However I can see the price point being fine with 5 figures and 6 would increase the price to what $170? I'm on the fence for this ship. It fits my collection but needs modifications that aren't easy to solve to make it fit in universe. I wouldn't mind a Post Jedi Luke + 2 dark troopers + 1 storm trooper pack with maybe a door?
i don't mind the inaccuracies, while they're not great that its there it, i think it looks a lot more interesting with them there than other random greebling would
The ship is fine, but from my limited Star Wars knowledge, I'm guessing the designer's could've possibly been wanting to shoot for a design of the light cruiser that's more generic and recognizable to the time period of Rebels since it was featured much more prominently there. Should they have made it more accurate to Moff's ship's specific design? Yes. But was this most likely the only time LEGO would be able to do an imperial light cruiser at all, possibly enticing them to design a much more recognizable version of the thing? Yes. - The figures are also spectacular, but there's a lot of little things missing. No hair for Fennec, no face and hair for Dinn (which could've totally been exclusive to this set and fits perfectly), the lack of leg printing for Moff, and of course the inclusion of only one dark trooper. I understand there are budget constraints, but I would've much rather had Fennec get a hair piece rather than the back of the dark trooper head be printed.
It seems like Lego lately has been a fan of saying they're against putting exclusive cool minifigs behind huge paywalls (this was their "reason" for not including clone pilots with the new Republic Gunship) without actually doing anything to stop this. This light cruiser set is a perfect example. If they want people to keep buying these sets, they can't keep making big design mistakes, greedy exclusive minifigs/parts, or pricing SW sets astronomically high for very little play/display value. Thank you for the review!
Like the set but on the button there should’ve been 2 dual turrets as seen on a ship such as the Arquitens Light Cruiser type vessel. Needs more usable interior space & maybe the price needs to drop down a bit imo. Along with extra Dark Troopers.
The take on the Minifigures is spot on. The price suggests that they would be giving not just the absolute necessary but more. A few more dark troopers should have been thrown in there.

Tbh I'm not too sad about it being more like a normal Arquitens than Gideon's cruiser. Not accurate to the scenes depicted but can be used in more scenarios.
Also it seems weird that they printed the back of the Dark Trooper's head but couldn't do Din's face.
It's weird that they printed It's face at all they could've just put a red head underneath
@@skinnyj123 I guess maybe they wanted it to have a black neck but even then they could have just used a black head with a solid patch of red print on the front.
@@callumpears1523 yeah sort of like batman/Bruce Wayne figures but it certainly didn't need a full 360° detailed face print either way lol
I would’ve replaced Fennec with a second dark trooper and put Fennec in the slave i
Yep completely agree with you on that.
What's the Slave I all I know is Boba Fett's Starship
Same
@@benhawk4214 don't be PC
I can’t argue with that but there’s probably gonna be a dark trooper battle pack next year
That Darksaber is such a disgrace...
By the way, I personally would have been happy if Lego used the keytana mold from Ninjago for the darksaber, it would have been still unaccurate, but would have been more intriguing, as well as more exclusive, and the best of all, not as lazy
i think just a black blade piece, from that ninjago weapon pack bag on a lightsaber hilt would do.
@@Amy-yf9zc then they'd have to include a bunch of random weapons though
@@kevinm5940 so let them
I always find it really funny hearing you talk about the accuracy of star wars ships because you are clearly such a big fan.
@Blake Larson my little brother just takes them out of the sets and uses them as weapons or blaster effects never once has he even put them in a set when the instructions say to
@Blake Larson yeah idk but that's lego logic for ya!
@@skinnyj123 im not sure why, but they just dont bother me too much. i completely understand why they should, but it just doesnt bother me with the look. cant explain it
The Darksaber was definitely "lazy." It should have used one of the plethora of Ninjago or Nexo Knights blades and a somewhat built up or unique hilt.
It's a really good set, and I don't know what the process behind it was, but I agree with all of Jang's points, especially the lacking interior, comparing this set to the similar style first order Star Destroyer that came out a few years ago, it completely pales in comparison, the First order one had three big rooms and even a mini throne chair for snoke on the top, and all of those rooms seemed important to have
In this one all we get is a decent space with just a table with a mug on it, no Grogu prison and no Dark Trooper charging station... The episode for this scene came out so long ago, it's hard to believe this happened due to misinformation... But at least these compromises to the interior resulted in a pretty good exterior, although the inside is what I was most excited about
AND YEP, MORE DARK TROOPERS PLEASE
The episode only came out 8 months ago, this set was probably in its final stages of design by then. Sets like this are often designed 2 years in advance.
They definitely should have done something special for the dark saber and Din Djarin should have a face print by now; Hopefully he’ll have one in the Mando season 3 wave. Overall though this set looks awesome!!!
Hands down the best Star destroyer in terms of interior and playability is the first order Star destroyer
Nice review as always - very bad handling on the rear for sure, especially considering the cost. It feels to me like a $129.99 USD value at best. No Luke was a misstep and at least 1 more trooper. I also believe we might see a battlepack including Luke and three troopers or something similar.
And y would they put Luke in a battle pack?
@@GamingWithOzzie We have never seen a more aged Luke with cowl.
@@fractalelf7760 no I get that. I just think they would put it in a more expensive set not a battle pack. Who wants an army of Lukes?
@@GamingWithOzzie Good point, I just don’t know what else from Mandolin they could include him in.
@@fractalelf7760 ya there’s really nothing else. So we might have to wait until season 3.
Can't wait to get this. I don't mind when sets have some small inaccuracies bc I like to modify and perfect them so this will give me extra hours of fun with the engines and turrets.
Nice review Jang! Looking forward to your reviews on the Mandalorian fighter and Meditation Chamber (and all the rest)
They really do need to make a battle pack with dark troopers in it
Gosh I really hope Fennec comes in a cheaper set when Book of Boba Fett comes out because that figure is absolutely fantastic
Jang is taking a stand! There definitely should’ve been more Darktroopers
İ wish Fennec had a hair piece.
Great video as always Jang!💜
I hope they make a playset of the interior of this ship with [special guest star big spoilers], the elevator, and a Bunch of Dark Troopers standing outside a big door leading to the room with everyone else.
Oh well.
Would love to see a Dark Troopers set with a few of these minifigs, maybe with some storage bays like the Iron Man armor collection...
They always make battle packs for troopers and clones
They always make battle packs for troopers and clones
I love it! I think minor detail fallacies happen a lot in the translation of “hey here’s a SW ship design just make it in lego”
A perfect example would be the first Kylo Ren‘s shuttle we got. It just wasn’t screen accurate but remedied in the second iteration.
Agree with your assessment on all fronts! More should have been included and it's perplexing that the design of the ship is so "off". Hopefully, as you state, we'll see a battle pack with more Dark Troopers in the future...
You guys need to watch is live videos of him putting these big ships together and just hanging out with him is awesome
When I buy this I'll finally have some use from the advent calendar micro builds. Well, for some of them.
I love this set! I bought two sets. One to leave sealed and one to build.
We’re really in need of a new mandalorian helmet mould. I think the gar Saxon one without the horns would be great
I like it as it is tbh. Also Saxon's doesn't have holes for accessories.
@@callumpears1523 they could easily mod it with holes in the sides. I just think the contours on it work a lot better than the current mando helmet that’s been used for years
Dark trooper battle pack is all we want now, 4 troopers with a small build, the holding chambers would be cool
Probably the best review on this set
When Lego makes gray technic pieces they'll be $20 a pin on Bricklink from demand.
they made them in the past - not sure why they insist on using blue always
You can get Lego-ish technic pins in a wider choice of colours for about 3¢ each on AliExpress.
Lego is trying to differentiate different pins & axles using different colours for each type.
They don't do that with bricks or tiles, so I wish they'd just make them in appropriate colours.
@@massimookissed1023 either that or at least add different color options on Pick a Brick - if they won't, counterfeiters will

Thsnks Jang for another great video!! 👍👍👍
The alternate face for Cara Dune looks like her "Great, we're saved" face.
The thing I love about the Arquitens is that is a mini Star destroyer, it's big, well armed (for its size) and has a fairly decent hangar capacity. I personally think it looks better than the star destroyer and if given the choice, I'd fly this instead of an ISD
awesome review Jang - spot on 👍👍
I think this is a great set to get as just an imperial starship like a Star destroyer to use in my Star Wars collection
That’s the reason I want it as there is no star destroyer or cruiser at an affordable price not retired
Throw a Dark Trooper in the Advent Calendar...
Hey Jang, great content as usual. Quick question about the Bad Batch Shuttle. I have the option to buy it for just 73 euros. Thumb up or thumb down?
Dude 73 Euros is a W. Go get it
10:57 I call them that sometimes too! Glad I'm not alone.
Very helpful review, Jang! Not happy about the price either.
-I think the current no-shading, flat graphic design style worked
in disfavor of Moff Gideon's chest plate.
The dark trooper head reminds me of the kessle worker fig
Would love to see a Classic Space Benny sitting on top of the bridge with a 73081 steering wheel :)
I think a smoke translucent rod would look better for the dark saber. Great review as always Jang :)
Love u man been watching since I was 8 😭 keep going strong 💪🏽
I just got the new silver Beskar mando and I love making sets better, especially the figures. I made the mandalorian have a little backpack with a stud on it with a vertical 1 by 1 clip on the back for his rifle and I put a Cassian Andor head on and I used the same hair piece and it looks spot on
I've just finished building it, and i like it alot. However those turrets are just way to big, so i modified them by removing the spring-loaded shooters and some other parts. Then i made it look much smaller and better in my opinion. Other than that it's a great set, and it looks great next to the ucs isd.
I just got this set for 60$ brand new and I'm starting the build today
I kind of dislike these multi scale ships in general. But at least this is a new ship rather than another star destroyer.
But what a waste, considering this is set of the season 2 finale. You'd think they could have put more features in.
also a micro slave one and lambda shuttle included. would complement or even justify all these tie fighters.
Should have had a prisoner cell, and the full complement of three or four dark troopers. Because they are the looming threat the whole time on board.
All the inaccuracys Jang is pointing out, along with the lackluster play features make this a easy pass for me.
We have actually seen the Darksaber before with the first Mandalorian drop ship. It included Pre Vizla and the Darksaber he had was identical
And it came with the Mandolorian speeder with maul and two soldiers
Why won’t Lego use the Cassian Andor face print for Din Djarin?!
I think the 4L bar is the right part for the dark saber, especially in terms of consistency for other lightsabers. So the only thing they could have done was to pick a different colour, maybe trans-black? Black is fine too though, so I wouldn't complain too much about that.
Except that the darksaber looks nothing like other lightsabers
Im not a big fan of star wars but what attracts my eyes the most it the minifigures and that baby Yoda
My reaction to the outside: "Yeah, awesome!"
My reaction to the interior: "Bruh, what."
I managed to snag this for $110 Facebook marketplace. I'm hype to build it!
There's no excuse for that Darksaber when the requisite pieces to do it considerably better are already in Ninjago's parts catalog.
We really needed 2 things for this set, A face for Din Jardin and a unique Dark Saber.
Should have had a side build with the Darktrooper storage unit with a proper compliment of them.
i don't mind the inaccuracies, while they're not great that its there it, i think it looks a lot more interesting with them there than other random greebling would
The ship is fine, but from my limited Star Wars knowledge, I'm guessing the designer's could've possibly been wanting to shoot for a design of the light cruiser that's more generic and recognizable to the time period of Rebels since it was featured much more prominently there. Should they have made it more accurate to Moff's ship's specific design? Yes. But was this most likely the only time LEGO would be able to do an imperial light cruiser at all, possibly enticing them to design a much more recognizable version of the thing? Yes.
-
The figures are also spectacular, but there's a lot of little things missing.
Fun fact the reason for the republic details is because legal has had the design for a republic light cruiser for awhile
Price and space in side. When you compare it with the Star Destroyer 75190, plus needs more figures for £150.00.
This set is definitely one of my favorites.
Mine too, but price is a bit too much, i am gonna wait for the price to drop. Definitely do want the cruiser tho.
Like the set but on the button there should’ve been 2 dual turrets as seen on a ship such as the Arquitens Light Cruiser type vessel. Needs more usable interior space & maybe the price needs to drop down a bit imo. Along with extra Dark Troopers.
Looks pretty good, goes on sale I’m definitely down
Hi Jang (and the comment section)! A shop in my country sells this for approxiamately $120. Should I buy it or not?
