I guess the real reason is that Disney doesn’t like to release clone wars toys, and also making one of these well would cost $170-$250 which they only make one set at that price point a year usually. I want one too, but I just don’t think the stars will align for this one. I think it would sell well but as outsiders we don’t know.
These minifigures are known as..."The Bad Batch". (Even though I'm making reference to the Clone Wars™ trailer, I've never watched a single episode of the series. I'd like to, though. However, I'm not sure if I can say the same about Rebels™. It doesn't look as good.)

This is one of the sets I wanted the most as a kid but my parents had already gotten a few expensive sets for me that year. I still regret not getting it.

Wow, what a treat this was, thanks JANG! One thing I have to oddly praise about this model is how Palpatine's throne room is in the model backwards! Somehow I don't think if this set was designed today, it would be like that; even if there's no reason why it would need to be forwards.
I remember when I had this as a kid, it was my first large ship after my brother got the original star destroyer. I built this every day before school on the carpet and when I finished it I picked it up by the handle and it all fell apart. I don’t buy Lego anymore apart from the occasional display model like the architecture sets and the creator cars. But I remember this set and it will always be my most memorable Lego set. i got this set when i was a very little kid. i loved it and played whit that a lot of time at day. years passed and when i thought that i grow up and need to be more mature, i sold it. today, with 23 years, i'm still missing this ship and obviously watching this video, think about how regretful im still continue with my bad choice. Afterall, ist a great video, and yes, lego star wars now its more expensive that years back.

This was the era I was getting a job and graduating. Stopped playing with lego, but all of the models when they were first incorporating technic into the structure of system builds but the pieces wound up being more 50/50 technic/system than todays more complete builds. im glad they got past that awkward era. And ive been absolutely impressed with the last 5 years of set design.

I have owned this set for 11 years, and yet I never knew it had a handle built into it or a pilot's compartment! Not only that, but when I first built this, I dropped it and broke into so many pieces that went everywhere.
Found this partly disassembled in my old lego collection a few years ago, I spent a day rebuilding it and got to revisit my childhood. It sits proudly in my basement!
I own this set and I gotta say, it's simply amazing how they packed this set with so many features! The designers really managed to use up every little space they had in this ship.
And that's less of a bit more than it's current value used apparently it goes for a ton new and sealed on eBay and probably on bricklink even if the value may be less than what people can sell it for

Good video, very fair review of the old girl. There's a video about from a channel called Luke Builds showing a no-extra-parts modification to make its proportions more accurate and close up some of the more obvious gaps which I used on my set, and I'm very happy with how it looks to this day.

Wow this brings back memories. I could never afford many sets seeing as they're so damn expensive, so this was as big as my builds ever got. But I used to love piling in all my minifigures in little positions and stuff as like a storage container. That was until my kid brother broke it and I could never be bothered to fix it since it was in such an irreparable state.

Hey Jang! The Senate guards weren't precursors to the Royal guards, they coexisted during the republic era and the Senate guards were tasked with protecting all of the Senate, while the Royal guards were trained to have their allegiance solely to the Emperor, then Chancellor.

They need to make another venator. I was just slightly too young in 2008/ 2009 to buy this set and the gunship and all of the fantastic Star Wars sets that came out that year. Now that I am older, I would totally buy a remake of this amazing ship.

Joseph cheeseinthepie, Rebels isn’t a bad show. The first season is pretty mediocre, but it really picks up in the second season.

Ah man I was just getting into lego star wars back then and missed out on it. It's been a childhood dream of mine to get a new Venator set ever since.
