I'm not doubting their profits are high but remember this; They'll have to buy the set to figure out how to light it, which in this case is very expensive Packaging is premium as well, not just random lil drug baggies
I've always been curious as to why LEGO designed the molds for the larger 4x4, 6x6, and 8x16 tiles with the injection point on the top face of the tile. Smaller tiles like 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x4, etc. all have the injection points either on the side or bottom of the tiles. Seems odd.
Well, the bigger the piece, the harder it is to inject the ABS in order to have a uniform amount of plastic all around the piece. I believe that is due to the plastic getting colder and tougher the more it travels around the mold (which isn't that big of a deal in smaller pieces), so for that reason injecting just from one side would make it a lot harder, you would have to design a mold with multiple injections from various sides of the piece and make it work with the rest of the production line. However I believe Lego said at some point that they're working on better ways to inject the ABS in order to get rid of those annoying bits of plastic on top of tiles and other smooth pieces... That's about what I know about it, hope it helps haha
Those mods look amazing! I was initially going to get from Light My Bricks but I got the light kit from Lightailing because I think the bridge section looks a lot better since every 2x1 transparent blue plate throughout is replaced with a lighted piece as opposed to this one
I got the UV printed tiles for all of the stickered portions of the build and I like them. Definitely an upgrade over the stickers. Mold marks to me are just battle damage 🙂.
We bought the Venator, such an amazing ship, the opening of Revenge of the Sith gives goosebumps every time. Bought the angled display stand from idisplayit and will definitely purchase the printed tiles and light kit soon. Thanks for the tips, awesome.
The 3 venators are so iconic from episode 3 (barring minor changes). Lego should make the invisible hand to go along side the venator. Next Challenge : Combine 3-n-1 to make the Ultimate Venator!
Venator is my favorite ships from all of starwars, its starting to sell in my country any day now and i will get my hands on it. I will do the stand and lights cause it looks amazing. THANKS FOR THE TIPS MY MAN!
Is there a serious reason they started putting the ejection ports on the outside of bricks? I feel like they used to always be on the inside or at least at the bottom of parts, but maybe Im misremembering things
Theres a mod by Forged In Lego that allows you to open up the main hanger door, and keeps structural stability. Once you have that, then you are complete.
I got the LMB kit, it’s nice but I feel like the bridge could be a bit brighter on the neck, I also wish they could have used blue lights instead of white lights under the blue tiles
You should the print again, but with a tan colored piece and gray and crimson printing and see how that turns out. It would avoid the injection moulding point.
I still have the Venator on my wish list but have plans to buy one next year together with an angled display stand. This will then be the perfect platform to display my vast 501st clone army underneath with Captain Rex front and centre.
Awesome mods, so crazy question but do you think its possible to change the hangar bays to be open? have it fleshed out? it'd be the ultimate mod for a venator right?
I recently saw a mod that would make the top hanger where the big red stripe is openable and it looked amazing! If i remember correctly it was also only >400 parts too
Lego really needs better quality control for their stickers-especially sticker color! It's so bad for light grey that when I built the 007 Aston Martin, I CUT a few of the stickers so there was less grey. I have NEVER cut stickers before or since then. If even the light grey color matched, the Venator's stickers wouldn't be as bad (except that we should get prints for a 650 dollar set).
I'm buying the prints and the stand for sure. I'd like the lighting kit but I know I don't have the patience for it. Lmao. I'm glad you are also printing the other 2 stickers. I was hoping the others would be printed also. I dont even own the Venator but I will soon enough!
I won't be getting the Venator until May 4th, but if you could find a way to build those bridges without inserting tiles into clips, that would be a fantastic modification. I don't care what LEGO says, I don't trust that connection to not warp the parts, and even though I never intend to take the set apart, warping any of them is still unsettling to me.
With some additional lights from Light My Bricks I added lights to the guns that are beside the bridge structure as well as the guns up front. I also added two lights to the hanger bay on the underside. I purchased a printed tile kit from Brick Tactical that includes a cloth Kama for Captain Rex and show accurate guns for him also. I would say that I have $900 dollars involved between the set itself and the accessories. I plan on getting a display case for it in the near future.
The fact Lego keeps using stickers is driving me fucking crazy. We pay a lot for these higher ends sets, the least they could do it put forth the effort to make a new mold for these high end sets, I guarantee they will still make huge profits either way.
Curious to see if the color of the fleet symbol prototype print can be improved and dialed in if you plan on selling them. They are a bit dark and yellow/green tinted
I have a question, I would love to join your stream and enter the competition but the problem is I live in the uk, so that means the stream happens close to midnight, so I wanted to ask, let’s say I enter the competition and then go to bed but I later win the competition do I need to be on the stream to claim my reward or is it ok if I’m not there and I can just claim it later, like when I wake up in the morning???
I feel sorry for all those people who admire this. This is called marketing, sales and it's all about impressing so that the poor continue spending their money. Lego sells these extremely expensive sets and after that come all these people trying to make money off of it. and poor society unfortunately falls into this. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I’d like it more as the revenge of the sith variant rather than TCW style. Currently working on enhancing the gunship so it’s more like the films. Not the hugest fan of the show, so film love is appreciated.
The only reason I wouldn't prefer print on an injection point over a sticker is if it'll lead to chipping of the print. Otherwise it looks better than the off color mismatch and potential placement mess up if you sneeze or something while placing the sticker lol.
have a question on my Venetor one of the back pannals is bit off compeard to other one but i cant seem to figure out why. and looks awesome whit 3 beside eaother!
Getting the AT AT first is better as it is more expensive already and it will expire before the venator most likely, so you still have time to save for the venator
Means that you probably are still a kid. Hey, don't worry. You'll get your chance eventually. I just turned 18 and got a job. I can finally afford the AT-AT from 2021 and I'll get the Venator after that. Maybe you can get a minijob to get some money already.
You have THREE venators oh my god

LMB has to have an insane profit margin. The prices they charge for some cheap lights is insane.
Yeah charging $120 for maybe $1.50 worth of lights seems a bit high
I just want to light the engines! I am sure AliExpress and maybe an Arduino can help me do a lot of cool things for a fraction of the price…
@@skroll71 Unless you want some special effects you don't need the Arduino. Just a battery, or power supply, and a switch would be needed.
probably still less than lego

It's funny that the grey Venator looks much smaller than those other 2. I guess great display stands! :)
Those mods look amazing! I was initially going to get from Light My Bricks but I got the light kit from Lightailing because I think the bridge section looks a lot better since every 2x1 transparent blue plate throughout is replaced with a lighted piece as opposed to this one
The shot of the engines lit up is awesome

Fantastic set done amazing upgrade

I still have the 3 foot Venator I built 12 years ago on my channel. Hard to believe we finally have an official model
This looks amazing! Good job dude!
Venator is my favorite ships from all of starwars, its starting to sell in my country any day now and i will get my hands on it. I will do the stand and lights cause it looks amazing. THANKS FOR THE TIPS MY MAN!
Hey, David! Quick question, do you have a parts list for everything you need to switch it to the Imperial version of the Venator? Love the videos!
Is there a serious reason they started putting the ejection ports on the outside of bricks? I feel like they used to always be on the inside or at least at the bottom of parts, but maybe Im misremembering things

recently bought and finally built my venator and now i need these mods
Interesting 😂
Oh, hey BrickTactical! 💯
Three? I cant even find the beans for one 😂. Good work mate and may the Force be with you. Impressive. Most impressive.
You'd have to make some major modifications since the technic frame runs right underneath the hangar doors
There’s someone on eurobricks already working on it who’s made some very good progress
Not so sure about the stand, the Star destroyer won´t fly on it´s side, it's always on straight.
I recently saw a mod that would make the top hanger where the big red stripe is openable and it looked amazing! If i remember correctly it was also only >400 parts too
How about adding a continuous stripe of lights under the top hanger doors to give the impression of the door seams widening?
Love the pad printed tiles, David! I can't wait pick those up and the other tiles you eventually print for the UCS Venator.
This is really nice mods, shame i dont have a spare 650 in my back pocket 😅
Man, not only you have them but you have the space to display them.
I have this Venator Kit for Christmas will definitely get that stand for it as it will look like it is moving into the attack
Lego really needs better quality control for their stickers-especially sticker color! It's so bad for light grey that when I built the 007 Aston Martin, I CUT a few of the stickers so there was less grey. I have NEVER cut stickers before or since then. Awesome video man! I plated all those dark grey spots along the front of the venator and looks 100× better IMO, should give it a try
I'm buying the prints and the stand for sure. I'd like the lighting kit but I know I don't have the patience for it. Lmao.
I'm glad you are also printing the other 2 stickers. I was hoping the others would be printed also. I dont even own the Venator but I will soon enough!
Any suggestions for preventing sag and long-term warping of the main engines? Is there an aftermarket axel made of metal out there? Other solutions?
My wife said we have space for 1 HUGE Lego set....and bought anniversary LOTR set....no place for Venator. Makes me sad.
you're so fricken cool dude, keep up the great work.
You should get metal technic rods for the engines to keep them from dropping so much
1:22 is great
The printed tiles look better then the sickers
You have 3 venators... I envy you! I might one day get another venator just to do a imperial variant.
my local lego store is using that exact stand to display their venator!!
I won't be getting the Venator until May 4th, but if you could find a way to build those bridges without inserting tiles into clips, that would be a fantastic modification. I don't care what LEGO says, I don't trust that connection to not warp the parts, and even though I never intend to take the set apart, warping any of them is still unsettling to me.
keep one venator with the red bridge, as those were also a thing in the fleet
If I bought of your stream on whatnot or won the venator for example ofc would it be sent to the uk?
With some additional lights from Light My Bricks I added lights to the guns that are beside the bridge structure as well as the guns up front. I also added two lights to the hanger bay on the underside. I purchased a printed tile kit from Brick Tactical that includes a cloth Kama for Captain Rex and show accurate guns for him also. The plates give it an off brand Lego knockoff look if I’m being honest.

There is a Hangar Mod, so you can open the middle hangar bay... ^^
I would complain a lot less about stickers if lego just gave us a few spare stickers to swap when they start peeling or if u got it crooked
Curious to see if the color of the fleet symbol prototype print can be improved and dialed in if you plan on selling them. They are a bit dark and yellow/green tinted

You need to do a ROtS mod for us to see!
You got any spare venators lying around?
I have a question to WhatNot do you send it to Germany to
I’d like it more as the revenge of the sith variant rather than TCW style. Currently working on enhancing the gunship so it’s more like the films. Not the hugest fan of the show, so film love is appreciated.
Damn, even though Lego got it right, they should have just written, Venator-Class Star Destroyer
The lights are cool, but if you fixed legos mistake and added an interior, that would be epic
you should mod it to where it is the same as the venator in ROTS
Do you have to remove the original stands when using the 45 degree stand ?
Are the pad printed pieces planned to be offered on your website? Or only in the Whatnot stream?
Nice work, I am still bothered by the engine sag, can you fix that?
It'll be interesting to see how they hold up over time. Sagging that bad this early is a bad sign.
I have the venator and the engines don't sag, they just give that impression because of the angles in the back section
@@danielmayayo4533 so can that angle be adjusted?
Is there any modification for the engine thruster that prevents it from leaning down?
Can you do a video adding an interior please

wish we could have it for $600
Bro please show and compare all the UCS Giants release form UCS Millennium Falcon to UCS Venator ❤
Does the display stand save on footprint space?
I want to know this as well!
Don't wanna start the stream a little earlier? Would love to watch, but it's really late where I am
I need a stand like that for the Executor... the big one.
If the Pad printed Open Circle Fleet emblems are uploaded to Minifigs4U, I will buy them.
Do Pad-Printed Plates exist for the UCS Gunship?
Build something inside the venator
How tall does the stand make it
Hello.. how wide is lego venator in stand in acryl plastic??
Wide in cm?
Hello instructions and pieces on rebrickable ? Thanks

Didnt you plan that you add one more give away?😢😢😢
Where’s Geonosis tho?

Lots coming...
@SolidBrixStudios 👀
you forgot the mod to have the opening hanger doors
have a question on my Venetor one of the back pannals is bit off compeard to other one but i cant seem to figure out why. and looks awesome whit 3 beside eaother!
On UCS sets everything should be printed
Unfortunately didnt do the split down the middle Mod. Best Mod there is
Why are your engines sagging so much? On mine the sag is almost non existent
Is there a link to where we can purchase the printed open-circle fleet tiles?
LMB pricing is ridiculous...so many cheaper options
I was torn between getting the venator or the atat but ended up ordering the latter. Was that the better choice?
Getting the AT AT first is better as it is more expensive already and it will expire before the venator most likely, so you still have time to save for the venator
Get all 3 together and make a short Lego animation
I signed up!
At 6:32 is it me or the engines are bending downward?
I need a Venator I’m broke asf and that would be a great piece in my collection
How wide is it on the stand???
That Model is so god damn cool to bad I only have 200 bucks to my name....
Means that you probably are still a kid. Hey, don't worry. You'll get your chance eventually.
I just turned 18 and got a job. I can finally afford the AT-AT from 2021 and I'll get the Venator after that.

where do print pieces like that
Am I the only one who doesn't mind the stickers
the lighting mod looks kinda tacky. its definitely fine for the engines but for the rest it just doesnt look right
your audio is STILL low every damn video David lol...boost audio by like 30% in premiere!!
Is similar stand available for UCS Imperial Star Destroyer ?❤
Yup, I just saw its available for $24
That is a nice stand for a beautiful set but I don't have the space so it's a no
