This is near perfect, I feel the designer tried hard to make it as studless as possible and to have achieved that while also leaving little to no gaps it's highly commendable.
It is impressive but it does feel very different from regular lego star wars set by going that route. Im curious to see if they go this way with the next big set too..
what a time to be alive. people are now complaining about brick built animals instead of molded animals. I remember when it was the other way around lol.
Before I watch the review, I'd like to say that it's almost impossible to tell this is a LEGO set from the thumbnail. The design team deserve a raise!!!
Until these UCS sets come included with their own home basement(display space)…I’ll happily pass and just continue enjoying Jang’s wonderful content instead! 😁🚀🛸
^^^ I got real excited for the UCS gunship, voted for it in the poll and everything. Then when it came out I really was looking at buying it despite the price (the most expensive set I've ever bought being Assembly Square at like $270 ), before I realized I have *very literally* nowhere to put it 😅
@@MajDuty This is what I do with 80% of my Lego collection. I want to build them all but I don't have the space right now. But I also get FOMO because I've seen so many good sets get discontinued and never come back again
16:42 I am in love with the brick built Blurgg. I'm definitely going to make a couple, and I think making it brick built is the perfect scale and potential to acquire more without buying multiple UCS sets! I hope the build shows up elsewhere too
I at first baulked at the price, but then thought about it in comparison to other sets, and realised that it is quite good value compared to other products. It has slightly more than DOUBLE the piece count of the Black Panther bust, but is $100 cheaper than double the price of that bust. It also have roughly 1.25x the piece count of the Star Destroyer, yet is also $100 less than that set. It's a perfect set actually. With one exception - one VERY big exception. Those stickers.
I LOVE correct proportions. Even when a UCS set proportions are off ever so slightly, it tends to bug me. Thank you so much to the designer for getting the proportions right here. It is so visually appealing to look at.
I just finished building it today and man, this thing is amazing! All those weird angles that make this ship look cool and unique are brilliantly designed and a pure joy to put together. Every time I finished a new section of the build I was just sitting there admiring all the nice details and clever building techniques, but the thing I love most about the whole build is that it has a completely fleshed out interior. This adds so much to the overall experience of building and afterwards admiring this set. I really hope Lego will add interiors to future UCS ships and vehicles. I know that it might not always be structurally possible and UCS sets are generally not really meant to be playsets, but since they managed to do it here, maybe the bar will be raised for future UCS sets. I really enjoy taking of and opening up all the panels and looking inside the ship for a more immersive experience. It feels like you are really getting more value for your money this way. And yes it is pricey, but after building it I think it is definitely worth it.
it’s so amazing that it looks beautiful as a display when it’s all closed up but you can also fully “play” with it once you look inside. i can imagine kids being able to play with it and then closing it all up when they’re done to make a beautiful display piece that even their parents will love the look of
This set seems about as perfect and I could realistically imagine it being. The only change I would make would be the more accurate grey color for the side stickers, but that's about it.
I always appreciate your reviews and I am thankful for your comparisons to other brands that create displays. I know a lot of people are afraid to talk about anything other than LEGO but you just put it all out there. Thanks for being a leader and not a sheep!
I'm normally not the type of person to "toss it on a counter", but the value and quality that this set brings had me very impatient for the release date. Great in-depth review Jang!
Wooow just wow, this looks like one of the best Lego sets I have ever seen. I don't have Lego anymore, as a kid I absolutely loved it. Just amazed what Lego artist can do these days.
I'm honestly and genuinely fascinated by how incredibly perfect the brick-built Blurgg is. I'm probably the #1 specialized mold fan in the whole lego community, but that build is PERFECT!
Dear Jang, As always, I appreciate your clarity on these reviews. You are open and honest, which is why I consider you a Trustworthy reviewer. I am happy to hear that you are overall quite positive about this set but still hold in balance the simple reality that $600 USD is a tall ask for what is essentially a big, plastic dust collector. It may be more swooshable and mobile than other sets in this category (especially the Falcon or the ATAT), but it is still essentially intended to be a display set, and $600 could pay for a lot of other things many of us could conceivably need or want in life besides a plastic dust collector. And I say this all as a huge LEGO Star Wars fan. I would not mind having the disposable income required to render a purchase like this nothing more than a blip in the radar. As it is though, I’d have to ask serious questions before buying this. Anyway, thanks Jang.
That's the problem with the current crop of big expensive models LEGO are putting out. Most simply can't afford them, and even those that can afford them find the value for the price they're paying to be fairly questionable. They are in essence as you say plastic dust collectors, and the reasonableness of spending on them decreases as the price goes up. Taking the 2 razor crests as an example a cool looking small dust collector for $100 might be justifiable compared to what else you could spend that $100 on, but a cool looking big dust collector for $600 offers really poor value compared to other things you could get for $600. Is the bigger version nicer? Sure. Is the joy you'll get from displaying it 6 times as much as it would be for the smaller version? Almost certainly not for most people. If you get the smaller razor crest instead of the big one you could literally buy a PS5 with the money you're saving, that's how ridiculous the prices are becoming. The price per part may be ok on the big sets, but when you look at the finished models they just don't feel like they're worth the prices LEGO are charging.
its the best 2 in 1 UCS set Lego has ever made, yeah you can build the earlier version of Razor crest, or the later episode version just leave it in the box in pieces!
Thanks again Jang for a great video. I do like the playability of this model, unlike some other UCS models, which are mainly for the outer shell. I thought the ramp part of the folding side doors was a little clunky though. Thanks again for the time you put into this Jang
I like that they did season 1 figs and season 2 Easter Eggs. Rounds out the razor crest’s existence / screen time. Besides Grogu, The figs haven’t been done before (mando fig being a new rendition). I bet we’ll get mayfield and ahsoka in other sets. I’ll definitely be displaying these figs with the stand/sign and put my other figs (beskar mando, Grogu, greef karga, IG 11, and Cara Dune) inside the ship
Dang it, Jang, you've done it again. First there was the excellent Knight's Castle review - which made me want to buy it. And now... this excellent Razor Crest review - which makes me want to buy it. My wallet wishes that Jang was a less compelling Lego reviewer 😱
I’m a UCS collector but I decided to get all the Avatar sets instead of this. I’m happy with my decision, I feel it’s better value, but this is a wonderful model. Will be getting it eventually for sure. Glad to see Jang is happy with it, surprised he has good things to say about the price tag.
Wow, it does not look as big on pictures. These things still are not being made and priced for my wallet size. That's why I am even more grateful for every JANG review of those big sets I will never own or see!
I think personally while this set is awesome, if I spent that much I’d rather save just a “bit more” and buy the UCS AT-AT But this is certainly a model worthy of UCS. Great video Jang
Always appreciate Jang's incredibly sensible and articulate reviews. This model ticks all the (Lego) boxes in all the right ways. Just ordered with May 4th promos and discounts. Can't wait. As a quite brick on brick traditional builder I really think this is quite perfect and exceptional
As always my go-to for an objective and entertaining review of new sets. I watched this when the Razor Crest first released. Now I've ordered it in the May 4th 2023 promo, I'm enjoying the content all over again to satisfy and fuel my excitement 🥳. Thank you!😊
Your reviews are just so good, it feels like I own the set for 29 minutes. Which, unfortunately, is the closest feeling of ownership I'll ever get haha! I might need to check your twitch channel too Jang! I've been joyously following your yt channel(s) since 2013! Thank you for the great quality stuff :)
Thanks for the detailed review, as a lover of the UCS series it is definitely on my list, but it is still really nice to get a good look at the set before I eventually pick it up.
Given the size, detail, and modular approach I honestly can't see this being less than 600. It just looks that good as a display model, and absolutely trumps the gunship from last year though that one was a little less expensive. Designers really did an amazing job in all aspects of the ship with the exception of the exposed bottom. Haven't seen anything of the Mandalorian, but would still love to build this, though finding a place for it that isn't the floor may prove to be a little difficult.
The normal Razor Crest set is a nice and affordable version of the ship (I own that one, not the UCS) but this build looks insanely detailed and it's cool how it can also fit minifigures.
Looks like a very cool model. I appreciate being able to see it thoroughly in your review. For me the size and price are impediments to getting it, but I appreciate the excellent design work and think it would be a very nice model to own.
just bought this set. i'm not done with it yet, but here are the pros and cons for me that i believe will be once im done. pros; well detailed, very large, not a lot of studs, and has an amazing interior. cons; dust
Havent bought any lego star wars in over a year, last thing I was tempted by was the mini-fig scale Razor Crest, I'm glad I held off now, this is fantastic!
jang u helped me love lego. your presentations and reviews are amazing and i want to thank you for the impact you have had on my life even though you dont know it.❤ im curious how many other lives has jang changed for the better as he has mine?
Thank you so much Jang. I really value your take. I wish the cost was $150 less and it would likely be mine. I also wish it was a darker grey in lieu of the lighter to mimic silver. I prefer a weathered look over a polished one.
Yes! Was waiting for this review! Great review, as always, of a gorgeous set! I really enjoy your "style" of review videos, keep up the great content! Have a great day!
I would actually consider this and accept the premium price if those stickers matched perfectly (or if they were prints). Sadly they just stick out way too much. Great review!
Jang, your videos are a joy to watch. You’re so thorough, and always have actual meaningful and commentary that makes me as a viewer think about and consider the model and product from different angles. And the production is top notch! I really appreciate the work you do to bring us these reviews. A question about stickers: As LEGO seems to often be unable to match the color of stickers to the pieces they go on, do you think they should instead make clear stickers for the kind of details like in this set or would the potential for bubbles and dust make it not worth it?
Ooooh that’s a good idea hey. Yeah there is a downside but I feel like the grey coloured sticker is one of the few things that suck about the set 🥲 Looks so amazing with all the different angles coming together and then you see those ugly stickers and it just spoils the aesthetic.
I do like this, but I have no space for it. I do have the little one, which will do for me. A fantastic review Jang, you are the authority when it comes to Lego reviews!
Great set. But the US Amazon site had the system scale Razor Crest on sale for $99. Instant buy. I think many would be content with the system scale version. While I don't play with LEGO, I think the charm is in play set LEGOs than sets that are strictly for display.
They missed the opportunity to provide some 1x2 reflective silver tiles with printing of beskar ingots. Ya know, with the wave pattern and the little imperial logo.
I didn't watch The Mandalorian... but I've to admit: this looks phenomenal! It's even longer than the 1989 Batmobile (72cm for the Razor Crest vs. 60cm for the Batmobile) which was an already impressive build of a fictional thing. I wasn't impressed when I first saw the images... But seeing that thing in that perspective, it's honestly great. Hopefully I will be able to see it in the LEGO store next time I visit.
Hey Jang, love your review. This set ist waiting in my living room and after watching your video i think i will add some dark bluish grey parts / tiles for adding some extra depth on the surface
Hey, I just recently found your channel and I'm slowly going through all your content on your channel. Great work thus far. I really enjoy your editing. Obviously I love lego and I think you've done a fantastic job on all the kits I've watched you put together thus far, but I feel like you aren't being given enough credit for your fantastic editing and narration. Love it!
I 100% agree, the building experience like you said for me was flat, maybe boring sometimes. The most fun part was building the interior, aside for that was only paneling and the engines.
They finally got the mandaloian helmet right. I thought it looked legitimately bad before, and now it’s great. Also, as is often the case, the build looks fantastic
Jang, thank you for the balanced review. I do enjoy The Mandalorian TV series but the LEGO toys based on the series never really captured my attention until this UCS came out. However, after much consideration I can’t justify spending $600 on this. It might be worth it if it has maybe six more figures plus another vehicle or creatures.
This is near perfect, I feel the designer tried hard to make it as studless as possible and to have achieved that while also leaving little to no gaps it's highly commendable.
It is impressive but it does feel very different from regular lego star wars set by going that route. Im curious to see if they go this way with the next big set too..
Also, though, I like how they kept enough studs on it that it still feels like a Lego model
"if they can add a pink flower to the tiger they can add a toilet" is my new motto to get out of bed. Thanks Jang for showing us this
what a time to be alive. people are now complaining about brick built animals instead of molded animals. I remember when it was the other way around lol.
Jang your presentations are impeccable, very clear and beautiful depictions of the sets. Great review as always!
Wait, your reviews are all unscripted? Ngl that’s impress man. Always appreciate the time and effort you put into these
He’s just that good
These recent UCS sets have really looked more like a really high end MOC that a fan would make, it's incredible.
Before I watch the review, I'd like to say that it's almost impossible to tell this is a LEGO set from the thumbnail. The design team deserve a raise!!!
unsponsered reviews like this are the only ones I trust as 100% honest. Thanks Jang.
Until these UCS sets come included with their own home basement(display space)…I’ll happily pass and just continue enjoying Jang’s wonderful content instead! 😁🚀🛸
Heh! Great idea :D
If you never take them out of the box they actually store quite nicely 😁
^^^ I got real excited for the UCS gunship, voted for it in the poll and everything. Then when it came out I really was looking at buying it despite the price (the most expensive set I've ever bought being Assembly Square at like $270 ), before I realized I have *very literally* nowhere to put it 😅

The thing is 29 inches long, video is 29 minutes long. Bro reviewed each inch for a minute! That’s what I call dedication
It's really cool to get a UCS set that feels actually minifigure scale rather than being slightly too small or too big.
16:42 I am in love with the brick built Blurgg. I'm definitely going to make a couple, and I think making it brick built is the perfect scale and potential to acquire more without buying multiple UCS sets! I hope the build shows up elsewhere too

It is such a delight when Jang posts a video like this! Never quit jang, i love your vids!
22:10 they said they started designing the set shortly before the ship got blown up so they definitely knew what mythrol was like as a character
I don't think my wallet would ever recover from something like this...
It's okay for 200
7:50 that door mechanism is so well hidden and functional! Lego is awesome.
I LOVE correct proportions. Even when a UCS set proportions are off ever so slightly, it tends to bug me. Thank you so much to the designer for getting the proportions right here. It is so visually appealing to look at.

Quite easily the best Lego review channel on TH-cam!
This model is great! But for some reason I like the smaller version even better! :) Same with the Batmobile!!! XD
The minifigures are definitely super cool! XD
Always a good day when jang uploads! ❤
This set is so beautiful, I think my favourite UCS set by far.
Thanks for covering this awesome SW monster.
Quite a fantastic model! I really like all the details, interior and exterior! Expensive as heck, but still, very tempting!

I love when LEGO designs the creatures CREATOR style! The more the merrier! :D

This looks so good. Definitely gonna have to looks at getting one of these. Thanks for the review jang

My third favourite UCS set ever, behind only the Millennium Falcon and the AT-AT. Extremely well designed!!
The normal Razor Crest set is a nice and affordable version of the ship (I own that one, not the UCS) but this build looks insanely detailed and it's cool how it can also fit minifigures.

I wish I had the money and room in my apartment for this beautiful set. And so many others. 🙂
You have a very soothing voice! Very pleasant to listen to! Nice video
just bought this set. i'm not done with it yet, but here are the pros and cons for me that i believe will be once im done.
pros; well detailed, very large, not a lot of studs, and has an amazing interior.
cons; dust
Thank you so much for getting this! Fantastic review as ever!
It’s the nonexistent gals across the whole of this build that impresses me most. It’s a work of pure love.
Havent bought any lego star wars in over a year, last thing I was tempted by was the mini-fig scale Razor Crest, I'm glad I held off now, this is fantastic!
I love the number of Sub-assemblies. I like doing that in my own builds to make them more usable!
00:45 offers a perfectly acceptable alternative for those upset about the price of a massive set.
jang u helped me love lego. your presentations and reviews are amazing and i want to thank you for the impact you have had on my life even though you dont know it.❤ im curious how many other lives has jang changed for the better as he has mine?
Thank you so much Jang. I really value your take. I wish the cost was $150 less and it would likely be mine. I also wish it was a darker grey in lieu of the lighter to mimic silver. I prefer a weathered look over a polished one.
this is the most creative lego channel, i love it
Thank you very much for your great review. Keep up the good work!
It would be better to make a yellow strip on a clear sticker than trying to match the grey...
This is the one ucs set I’m going to break my budget for. Simply amazing.
Another review another success purrrr your in depth breakdowns are a whole meal yum yum
Living my Lego dreams through you Jang. Will probably never have any UCS Star Wars sets as they are just wayyyy too expensive even for Lego.
Glad you did this. This is not something that I can justify buying, and I hope it sells well because there's a lot to like here.
That Bobba Fett fix is a game changer Jang!
Great set, great review as usual! Youre a legend
Jang i love ur vids and they are phenomenal as always
Jang, your videos are a joy to watch. You’re so thorough, and always have actual meaningful and commentary that makes me as a viewer think about and consider the model and product from different angles. And the production is top notch! I really appreciate the work you do to bring us these reviews.

Ooooh that’s a good idea hey. Yeah there is a downside but I feel like the grey coloured sticker is one of the few things that suck about the set 🥲 Looks so amazing with all the different angles coming together and then you see those ugly stickers and it just spoils the aesthetic.

Great set. But the US Amazon site had the system scale Razor Crest on sale for $99. Instant buy. I think many would be content with the system scale version. While I don't play with LEGO, I think the charm is in play set LEGOs than sets that are strictly for display.
The minifigure playset Razor Crest is so TINY by comparison!!
Amazing set. Can’t wait to get it. Great review Jang 🙏👍👍👍
This finally arrived at my house today. Gonna start building it tomorrow.
I was expecting any of the Razor Crests models to have the same play functions as the Force Awakens Quadjumper set, too.
Great set! I think the engines look slightly oversized from memory..
They missed the opportunity to provide some 1x2 reflective silver tiles with printing of beskar ingots. Ya know, with the wave pattern and the little imperial logo.
Looking forward to building this hopefully this December! Still have the UCS Slave 1 75060.
I really love your super detailed reviews, thanks Jang, see you on Twitch 😊
I didn't watch The Mandalorian... but I've to admit: this looks phenomenal! The lack of toilet is a deal breaker for me

However, after much consideration I can’t justify spending $600 on this. It might be worth it if it has maybe six more figures plus another vehicle or creatures.
Thanks for insight brother! Can’t wait till mine arrives in the mail
