we did a video a couple years ago and people said i talked too slow....so.. the silver pedal is the midid switcher for the engl steve morse amp. also, since this video i have bypassed the buffer box after the polytuner so the guitar goes thru the polytuner directly to the amp.
TC Electronic is a tremendous blessing! Y’all’s pedals are well thought out, designed and extremely endurable. The tone print features are amazing. Also, the fact that you offer them in mini sizes makes everything much easier for the player. I hope some day you will ad a metronome feature to your mini looper. A simple click with a adjustable tempo would be perfect. I use my looper like it’s my band and at times I struggle with timing without a click. I have replaced all my pedals with TC Elelctronic pedals. I love yalls pedals. Thank you for your innovation and affordable prices.
I wrote to Tommy many years ago several times to ask about Steve's rig and amp tubes and he was kind enough to answer back immediately. Notice that his cabs are placed on their sides so the sound spreads out instead of beaming straight out (Tommy removed the "Engl" emblems and reoriented them 90 degrees so they're still readable) I come back to this video once in a while to see him play!
Very lucid and detailed explanation. Thanks. Using the volume pedals takes a little longer than a straight patch switch but I like the idea of many shades you can get going with them.
He is doing volume swells, which you can do by using a volume pedal or the volume knob on your guitar. Play a chord or single notes and then turn up the volume slowly. Also using reverb, chorus or a delay works really good with volume swells.
I don't understand if 4 expression pedals to the send side, pedals not ran in series. How do you condense all expression pedals narrowed down to the post effects loop??
Overdrives, reverbs, fuzzes, boosters etc is OK. But when guitarist is not master no electronic will replace him! The same is withe Steve Morse "gear" and equipment.

I thought his demonstration was excellent, his speech was slow and calm. But great that you added new informations. Steve Morse is the best!
wow! even his tech can shred

3:44 looks like Malmsteen's techs are waiting to set up... How many cabs!?
Merv Watkins , Cristi Neagu : The metal footswitch is Engl switching board for the amp: channels, modes, loop, reverb etc.
Thanks Frank. Fulltime job keeping it all working
Tommy,
One of the most baked explanations I've heard. Cheech and Chong would be proud.
Great job Tommy!

3:36 check out those quad boxes
Rain Song sounded great!
very nice great
When is Tommy gonna gig? He sounds damn good. Great run-through.
The title is misunderstood in my opinion - where is Steve Morse or his knowledge?
3:38 are those Marshall cabs in the background?!?!?!?! SO MANY!
I am not entirely sure, but that shiny, silver footboard is for switching modes on the amps.

Hey Tommy.. buzz me when you get back out to LA! Great job btw...:)
what that whammy pedal is doing there?
Nathan Augusto It helps Ian Gillan hit the high notes.
just listen to the guitar solo in demons eye or maybe i'm a leo
This guy was as exciting to watch as watching grass grow.
Remember everyone. The middle stack is the dry stack only, there are no effect in the dry stack
He is playing zeppelins rain song
how does he get the sound at 1:59-2:06?
Very simple rig and easy to understand if you not 12 years old that is.
What. Band is this
Deep. Purple.
Not really a full rundown. What about that other aluminium pedal-board he was stepping on to activate different sounds
So just to be clear the wet amp and dry amp are separate lol
Edguy stacked they cabs ... 3 cabs one above the other
Roger Glover in the background watching him play
if the amp is wet, why doesn't he dry it off!?? Not very considerate.
😂

Worst rig rundown EVER !
+Quentin James Agreed
This still begs the question though: why is Steve's guitar sound so awful?
