Thanks for the review! You are killing it! I tested this lens with the 12k the other day and was really impressed by it. The par focal alone I think makes it an incredible bang for buck lens!
seems like the best bang for your buck would be getting the 20-55 zoom and then just grab the 75 prime for close ups instead of paying 2500 for the 50-125 zoom
2:58 -- I remember in film school... when we shot on film, we wanted 'sharp' lenses to counteract the more (potentially) muddy film look. But, with digital, I want that edge off. I don't want too sharp on digital, which is why I usually got vintage on digital.
How “snappable” (industry standard terminology) are the DZOfilm zooms? Can you really snap super fast from a wide to a medium or is there some resistance there?
what does dp stand for and does it matter which site I ask this question on? great vid - dzo looks like a tank... looking for a good ff cine zoom lens to fit on my fx6 - please don't say servo. keep it up!
I see a lot more vignetting on my red dragon 6k, with the pictor at 20mm. Not sure why you have so little... 🤔 so much actually that I am selling the pictors.
@@TheObsessiveDP To each his own my man, as a dp myself, I hate out of focus mid sentence... I hate out of focus in general soooo much lol... I'm picky though! But if you and your audience like it, don't worry about my opinion lol.
Oh my.. do you know a thing about lighting at all? The face of big cheek is yellow because you shot her on grass. Do you understand what that means for the DZO. It has an even more horrible color cast.
Never once did you mention what camera of the two were you shooting with if you’re shooting with two different cameras are going to get two different looks with the same lens you never mention which camera you’re using when you have the vignetting red Komoto with those lenses doesn’t vignette that I could tell
"Is sharp better?" he asks while being out of focus. 😄 I do like your Tilta rig though, looks like a neat setup.
Lol. I hate autofocus.

12k it up!
Why not Fujinon MK ?
You gave me a clear idea about this lens. Now I know it will work for my need. I am waiting for a Komodo.

Not a bad idea!
Hey what kind of matte box you use for the DZO's?
Bright Tangerine Clip on 95mm. The front diameter of the DZo's and Sigma's is the same so you can interchange the matte box. 😀
Appreciate you

Thanks for the samples mate! In the zoom market and these are top list right now.
They’re great for the price!

Its decently smooth.. Doesn't have the resistance like a photo lens

DP stands for Director of Photography
Would this be valid for the DZO Ling Lung, since they are both DZO Glass?
Not sure! Haven’t used those
My whole attention was diverted to the cute baby 😁😁, is it just me or wat....either way the pictorzooms are on my soon grab list lol
Yup. She’s the cutest

The sensor of the RED's is actually a little more big than S35, it needs Full Frame Lenses :/
@@captorr5312 yep, it does
Cool video!
i feel like the sigma cine looks more cinematic, the dzo looks like bland and nothing really interesting going on
Sigma dont looks more conematic lol, those sigma primes are oversharp photo lenses but cinema housing
Dude just stop down.... why autofocus lol.... Great video
But you gotta love the sweet out of focus BG!

Apologies. All both lenses were filmed on the RED Komodo at 6k. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
