it's also included some very thin metal rings that you can add under the mount, so you can adjust parfocal point yourself easily. my bmpcc 6k mount got wrong frange distance from normal ef mount. so all my ef parfocal lens won't work with it except the pictor. because I can adjust it for any camera specifically. all the tools also included. love these Chinese products that always incluede every little things that you might need without try to sell them seperatly for some extra profit. Saved us a lot of time and energy.
I've pre-ordered these a few weeks ago. First time buying lenses without testing them, so it's good to see the review is positive :-) Can't wait to get my hands on them!
These tests/shorts you and your friends have been putting out have been a great look at the tools in real world scenarios. Thank you Armando. Greetings from South Africa
you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the login password. I love any assistance you can give me!
RF lenses are price gouging at the finest. But when Sony does the same and Nikon following they can all get away with it. Like they had a cult meeting to all equally price gauge so it looks like no one is :)
Amazing lenses for the price. Great content as always. I had this moment where I noticed the shaper wearing proper PPE for the dust, then the BTS footage reveals the camera man not wearing a mask and I was thinking 'your lungs, man! Your LUNGS!!!' LOL
It's not so much which one is better, but which one suits your style of shooting, needs of main projects, and look and feel of the content you create. Asking which is the "better" lens is like asking which is a better meal. No offense intended.
Hey man, do these register with Canon's focus assist system? For example the pins on my Zeiss Milvus lenses allow my C200 to use face detect focus assist and it's huge.
Those look perfect for someone getting started. I think they would pair perfect with a EOS C70. I will have to put both those items on my Wish List of items for the holidays.
@@adzamree6870 agreed. There was a huge discount in may if I bought it with xt4 but it was still around 3k and it seems they perform as good so ... DZOFILM is kind of killing it ! I trust more Fuji but I'm pretty sure they are equivalent in every aspect (except the price)
The focus fall off is a tad bit harsh, BUT that price is unbeatable... plus you can’t expect it to be as refined as a master prime for that amount of dough.
I'm impressed how you didnt wear a mask around all those plastic particles in the air while the craftsman had one, surely for a good reason :D Those lenses remind me of the Cooke lenses somehow.
Thanks for the video Armando. I 've been thinking about them for some time but a part of me was sceptical of how good the image quality would be. I have to admit now that they look good.
Aramando, I could hardly tell there was any vignetting on that full frame image. I have a Z Cam F6. Based on that image I assume it would still be usable in 6k?
@@RolandsBriedis I actually own both of them now, you can't use with speedbosters. At least not mine. You'll end up pressing the lenses rear glass element against the speedbosters glass. I had to buy two bmpcc 6ks and sell my 4k model.
@@ShazammtheProducer might be a better invest to keep it with a more common mount and just adapt. That way if you sell or rent you're not limited yourself
You briefly mentioned little vignetting on Red Komodo. I am looking at getting that Komodo, and wonder about the vignette. I'll be using it mostly as a film camera, and wonder if money is better spent on primes like the Xeen, for what I would be doing. Thoughts?
Your content its amazing Armando, (sorry for my english) !! I recently purchase the sigma 18-35 f1.8 photo version to my GH5s, and I in love with this lenss but. I was thinking ... If in some future need more pro zoom lens, what are made for me ? well.. I think that I found the answer whit this video ! :D considering the price of the sigma cine version, Theese Pictor Zoom lensses are really Budget Pro lenss ⚡
If you have a pocket 4k, get the Linglung MFT. The Pictors don't support a lot of speedboosters, as the rear element of the pictors juts out too far and interferes with the speedboosters lens.
keeping focus during zoom is great n all. seems to be the marketing goody of the lens. I am more concerned about quality of the glass. How does this compare to say zeiss glass which I am a huge fan of?
Hi Armando, Is it possible to see your test With these zoom on a Full frame sensor? You spoke about vignetting on the C500 mark 2! I’m curious to see in which proportions the vignetting Is an issue. Thanks !
it will be great if you tag wich camera are using in the footage, because no matter lens you put on arri allawys looks arri anyway for example ina matter fact its impossible to test lens propertly without charts
I just got this lens and love the look but am having trouble changing to the EF mount to put it on my BMPCC 6K. Once I switched to EF, I lost parfocal ability and the lens markers became wildly inaccurate (my subject 20 ft away registered as 6 ft away on the lens). Currently doing trial and error with the shims that are included but it's frustrating to not having a manufacturer's guide to cover this (emails to DZO have given me inaccurate instructions as well). Did you run into this problem too?
I have a Canon C200 and I am wondering if the Focus Guide ( Button 1 on the grip) works when using these lenses ? I want to know If the guides in the monitor screen will function to attain Focus manually.
Great video! Thanks for breaking things down and showing real life examples of what these lens can do. The image quality is outstanding. Question: Is the footage in the video (particularly the surfboard content) raw footage or has it been color corrected? If tweaks were made in post, was it a lot? Thanks again for all the info!
Will the EF mount work on a metabones Speedbooster...? I read one comment somewhere saying the rear lens element did not allow for this... which is a bit of a disappointment if true...
Would you still buy these today or opt for the Catta Ace's instead for a Komodo-X? I know I dont need FF for this camera but I hear they're overall a better lens.
Regarding the image circle: Would I run into problems with Sony Mirrorless Fullframes like the A7S series? These lenses look very tempting, but not if i have to also invest in super35 sensor first
Parfocal lens are so neat! Way to "zoom in and focus" on the important details!
This pun is just to much

Fuhhhh these look beautiful, I love the creamy yet sharp look that they give.
I’ve been waiting FOREVER for DZO to bring these to PL/EF systems! Thank gawd! It’s like having a baby Angenieux
Wow literally was just talking to someone about a lens just like this. And wabam. Gonna be my next purchase
Damn! This will pair very nicely with my BMPCC 6K. Sweet video man!
I've been using these with my 6ks and I love them. So nice.

- When you see budget on the title then you realize they are "BUDGET" for cine lenses
Yup, got excited until I realized budget for cine lenses
Yyyyeah. Casual $1500+ per lens
They are cheap unless your camera is less than 5000.
Which most professional cameras isn't...
@ thats what i've said

Ahhhhh, Parfocals are the best! 🙌🏻

Those lenses look super nice. Loving the image coming out of them
Love this iteration of your A roll set! Looks incredible with the moody background.
This is crazy, parfocal cine-zooms with good quality but costs less than Canon RF lenses, whut?
Also these have almost no focus breathing that insane

Gap facts. facts. facts. I’m waiting for the Sigma 70-200 2.8 for Sony....
Excellent review on these unique lenses. Thanks for sharing this!
Didn't see anyone using big Ursa for some time now, glad to see it in action!

Hi, can u compare these lenses with Venus Optics Laowa OOOM 25-100mm T2.9 Cine.
