My dog is a rescue from the country of Turkey….we rescued her 6 mos ago in Dec. She did no start all these allergies until just 3 months ago. She coughs, sneezes, itchy and coughs. Vet
suggested Zyrtec, which helps a lot but she is only on a 10 mg dose once a day.
She is 55 lbs and can another 1/2 tablet. I also give her
honey/lemon mix and that helps very much for the cough.
my question:
Why, when person inquires information about dog allergies, having a cough is never mentioned as one of the symptoms???
Is there something safer than Apoquel since it’s a immunosuppressant?
Cytopoint
Was to fast couldn’t hear as volume is low and what can we give them ? You said shot, shot.. what maybe at home med If any ?!
He said cytopoint shots. A medication similar to Apoquel that's supposed to be more effective, which isn't always the case unfortunately.
you can slow any youtube video down in the settings on the video (gear icon)
Hi. What are your thoughts on apoquel. My English Staffordshire terrier I he’s so bad that he hurts himself from all the scratching. He was recently on a course of apoquel and with the first dose he stopped being itchy. He has just come off the appquel and has started scratching an biting himself again.
Hi, please tune in on Monday. We will be uploading a video specifically on Apoquel which might answer your questions. Thank you!
@@DrLera thank you. I will definitely do that
I would not give my dog that……..or any other dog. Neither would a give a dog steroids that vets like to give because they don’t care. Do your research on it first. ……… and lots of it…..
firstly it’s expensive, secondly the dog will always have to have it at increasing doses, and lastly look up the side effects……..always check this because the vets are useless. Go to an holistic vet…..
Cytopoint
What dosage would you suggest for the supplements? My dog is on cytopoint but it isn't as effective as it used to be. Would love to try some supplements. thank you for your video!
